NEW Seriously Cool Soaps from Forever Polished

August 10, 2013 By StephanieLouise 346Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F08%2Fnew-seriously-cool-soaps-from-forever.htmlNEW+Seriously+Cool+Soaps+from+Forever+Polished2013-08-10+12%3A43%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F08%2Fnew-seriously-cool-soaps-from-forever-polished.html

PR Sample.

Soap! If you don’t use it…well then I really can’t help you. But if you’re a soap lover like me you were likely drawn in by the colorful top photo. Soap just looks so cool right? Forever Polished by Ashley is expanding into some bath & body products so I have some to share! I’ll tell you more about these cool new products below!

 photo ForeverPolishedBathProducts04_zps91756d99.jpg

So from what I can see on the Forever Polished site which you can view here I believe she is putting up products as available. She even has some I haven’t tried (Strawberry soap!) so don’t be shy, especially since the 3 I tried were fab.

 photo ForeverPolishedBathProducts08_zpsa3e4f435.jpg

My favorite is just a lemongrass scent. Pretty, yellow, with some fun curling swirling details. Simple but clean.

 photo ForeverPolishedBathProducts07_zpsc3da3eab.jpg

This beautiful tie dye soap has cute little blue feet on top & gold glitter throughout. If you’re a fan of LUSH products, this is close in scent to Karma. Very pretty obviously & if you like patchouli you’ll love this!

 photo ForeverPolishedBathProducts06_zps87b82bd1.jpg

My last soap is a pretty orange & tangerine which is a mix of lemongrass & green tea. With gold glitter! Pretty!

Obviously because these are 100% handmade products your colors & such will vary. That’s just how original products go! She might change up colors & such as she finds her footing but from what I can see, she has a good things going! I like the scents a lot because they are a bit unexpected. I’ve had offers to review a lot of body products lately & while I love a good girly scent here & there…something is to be said for something clean & even multi-sex.

What do you think of these soaps? Do you love handmade body products too?

Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencils Shade Comparisons

August 9, 2013 By StephanieLouise 347Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F08%2Fjordana-12-hr-made-to-last-eyeshadow_9.htmlJordana+12+HR+Made+to+Last+Eyeshadow+Pencils+Shade+Comparisons2013-08-09+21%3A17%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F08%2Fjordana-12-hr-made-to-last-eyeshadow-pencils-shade-comparisons.html

 photo Jordana24HREyeshadowPencils03_zps6c5d68ea.jpg

Hopefully you caught my review of my first 4 Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencils & if you’ll know I promised some comparisons! Promises must be kept right? So here I’m comparing the shades in my collection for reference…& there is a dupe in here for a much beloved limited edition shade! Keep reading to check it out!

 photo Jordana24HREyeshadowPencils02_zpsdd395e68.jpg

So just in case you missed my prior reviews, check out my thoughts on the Milani Shadow Eyez in my favorite Limited Edition neutral shades & my beloved Rimmel Scandal Eyes Jumbos! Seriously…I love these formulas so much! & of course, the Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil review itself as well!

 photo Jordana24HREyeshadowPencils07_zps76d774f7.jpg
 photo Jordana24HREyeshadowPencils08_zps2f39742d.jpg

I’m going to talk about these from left to right, for reference. Let’s start out with Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil in Continuous Almond. This is my favorite type of base, light & pretty neutral. Plus, matte which is rare. Immediately I thought of my Milani Shadow Eyez in Almond Cream which might be my favorite shade period. It is a limited edition shade as well & I’ve been kind of hoarding it so it didn’t disappear on me!

So…is it a dupe? Almost! The first shade on the left is Jordana Continuous Almond & next is Milani in Almond Cream. You can see Almond Cream is a bit lighter while the Jordana is a touch more peach. Close enough for me though, I think this will be a great replacement for my beloved limited edition shade!

On the right side the two swatches are Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil in Tenacious Brown & Milani Shadow Eyez Limited Edition Shade in Espresso Line. To my eye, they are absolute dupes. Tones, texture, matte finish, & creaminess are identical. Perfection!

 photo Jordana24HREyeshadowPencils09_zpsa94c916f.jpg
 photo Jordana24HREyeshadowPencils010_zps2df9f48d.jpg

Next up is my blues & greens! As always, I go from left to right.

Blues left to right: Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil in Aqua Last, Milani Shadow Eyez in Aquatic Style, & Rimmel Scandal Eyes Jumbo in Tempting Turquoise. I’m calling Jordana Aqua Last & Milani Aquatic Style dupes! Dead on color & texture! The Rimmel is a touch more green & a bit thinner.

Greens left to right: Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencil in Endless Emerald, Milani Shadow Eyez in Green Safari, & RImmel Scandal Eyez Jumbo in Gossip Green. Absolutely nothing near a dupe here! Completely different shades & I love them all! I can’t wait until fall…I really rock green in the fall most! Love all 3 of these shades, completely different tones.

I love these pencils so much, every single one. You have to work oober fast with these to blend them out if you’re wearing as eyeshadow but they’re totally worth it! Plus, bargains! 5 years ago there wasn’t anything like this at the drugstore…appreciate it guys! Drugstore makeup can only get more amazing!

Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencils Swatches & Review

August 9, 2013 By StephanieLouise 348Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F08%2Fjordana-12-hr-made-to-last-eyeshadow.htmlJordana+12+HR+Made+to+Last+Eyeshadow+Pencils+Swatches+%26+Review2013-08-09+15%3A06%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F08%2Fjordana-12-hr-made-to-last-eyeshadow-pencils-swatches-review.html

 photo Jordana24HREyeshadowPencils01_zps9f6342f0.jpg

If you’re a big fan of eyeshadow pencils that are creamy & long wearing then you have likely been chomping at the bit ever since you heard Jordana was jumping on the scene. Because Jordana is owned by Milani I had VERY high expectations. I personally use Rimmel Scandal Eyes & Milani Shadow Eyez the most, even over high end brands. I own almost if not all of both lines & use them as bases, eyeliners, & as eyeshadows themselves since they’re long wearing. Keep reading to see how the Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencils compare!

 photo Jordana24HREyeshadowPencils02_zpsdd395e68.jpg

I can’t find much online about these so I figured I’d just quote what is on the actual packaging. It is nearly completely identical to my Milani Shadow Eyez claims on the packaging. Also like the Milani Shadow Eyez, you’ll need to sharpen these but it is super easy. The black plastic isn’t messy at all to grind down. On top of that, these come sealed which is totally fabulous & I really appreciate when brands do that!
Here you’ll see:
– Highly Pigmented Formula
– Shimmer or Matte Finish depending on the shade
– Long-Lasting Formula
– Water Resistant
– Close cap tightly after each use.

 photo Jordana24HREyeshadowPencils04_zps351085a9.jpg

I chose 4 shades to start out: 03 Tenacious Brown, 04 Continuous Almond, 06 Aqua Last, & 08 Endless Emerald. My Walgreens was almost out of all the shades so I’ll be picking up more when they stock up! I obviously wanted the two neutrals & then I snapped up the aqua & green because…I love my colors!

 photo Jordana24HREyeshadowPencils05_zps42fd7b5e.jpg
 photo Jordana24HREyeshadowPencils06_zps9ac016e2.jpg

Swatches left to right: Tenacious Brown (a rich matte brown), Continuous Almond ( a slightly peach toned matte nude), Aqua Last (a light shimmery aqua), & Endless Emerald (a deep turquoise toned emerald).

Beautiful pigmentation, easy to apply, & very creamy. These feel & look EXACTLY like my Milani Shadow Eyez…except with a lower price tag! I’ll be doing some comparisons as well so stay tuned for that, especially if you recognize any of these shades from other lines!

The Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Eyeshadow Pencils retail for $3.99 at my local Walgreens & I also got them for BOGO 1/2 off which is common with Jordana, keep an eye out!

Quick Hit: Sephora Outrageous Prisma Chrome Eyeshadows in Beige & Lilac

Affiliate links.

I had held off writing about these shades because 1) they’re limited edition 2) I got them on clearance & didn’t know if they would still be available & 3) I did write about my favorite shade which is the Sephora Outrageous Prisma Chrome in Metallic Taupe here. Clearly I changed my mind! See, they’re still on sale on the Sephora website here & I really want you to be able to snag them if you can. These are so worth the clearance price of $7 (even the full price which I paid for one!) & I desperately wish they were permanent. Keep reading to see the other 2 shades I snagged!

You can see lots more information on these eyeshadows from my first review but I wanted this to be quick! I love these shades both wet & dry which is always a bonus. I’ll show you in swatches below. The packaging is sturdy, I like the peek window, & the shadows themselves have amazing pigmentation & feel smooth. Honestly…the only negative I can find is that they are limited edition.

 photo SephoraChromesOutrageousBeigeampLilac04_zps8be97ede.jpg
 photo SephoraChromesOutrageousBeigeampLilac05_zpse500de72.jpg

Sephora Outrageous Prisma Chrome Eyeshadow in Beige has a touch of light bronze & rose gold depending on the lighting…& well…Beige! Love this shade, gorgeous.

 photo SephoraChromesOutrageousBeigeampLilac02_zps603eff39.jpg
 photo SephoraChromesOutrageousBeigeampLilac03_zpse64650e1.jpg

Sephora Outrageous Prisma Chrome Eyeshadow in Lilac is lovely & has some great purple & blue tones.Looks a bit duochrome on the eye which is cool, not a strong shift or anything but one of those ” in between shades” that I love for originality.

 photo SephoraChromesOutrageousBeigeampLilac06_zps3bbcc3c1.jpg

Left to right: Sephora Outrageous Prisma Chrome Eyeshadow in Lilac dry then foiled, Sephora Outrageous Prisma Chrome Eyeshadow in Beige dry then foiled.

I just love these eyeshadows. I really hope that if you’re making a Sephora order or happen to frequent Sephora in person you’ll check them out. On clearance for $7 is amazing. Have you managed to get your hands on them yet?

Zoya Fall 2013 Cashmere Collection Swatches & Review

August 3, 2013 By StephanieLouise 351Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F08%2Fzoya-fall-2013-cashmere-collection.htmlZoya+Fall+2013+Cashmere+Collection+Swatches+%26+Review2013-08-03+13%3A40%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F08%2Fzoya-fall-2013-cashmere-collection-swatches-review.html

PR Sample. Referral Links.

I used to really dislike fall but now I kind of adore it. Boots. Cute sweaters. Pumpkins. What’s not to love? I feel like fall shades get totally overlooked in most beauty communities but not Zoya! This is my third (Yes! 3 collections for fall specifically!) swatch & review post. The Zoya Fall Pixie Dusts were fabulous, seriously fantastic. & the Zoya Satin collection blends perfectly with this one as well. The Zoya Cashmere collection is a set of 6 creme shades. Keep reading to see swatches & my thoughts!

 photo ZoyaCashmereFall201302_zpscd715941.jpg
 photo ZoyaCashmeres01_zpsd97fc8f3.jpg

I used top coat in the photos below out of habit, I just love a shiny creme. These all had fabulous formula, I’m really impressed. As you read, keep an open mind for me will you? I want to do some comparison posts & maybe you’ll have some thoughts on similar shades. I went ahead & italicized the Zoya descriptions for each shade for reference & put my description below.

 photo ZoyaCashmereFall2013Swatches01_zps1cf1e1f1.jpg
 photo ZoyaCashmereFall2013Swatches02_zpsd52def0d.jpg
Zoya Flynn- a lush camel brown nude cream.

2 coats. To me, I think of caramel macchiatos. Coffee with tons of cream.  A nude that still has color to it. I was really afraid this wouldn’t look good on my fair skin but I actually really like this neutral!

 photo ZoyaCashmereFall2013Swatches07_zps482038a4.jpg
 photo ZoyaCashmereFall2013Swatches08_zps5725dedc.jpg
Zoya Louise- a rich chocolate brown cream.

2 coats. Louise is my middle name so you know I’ve been waiting for this shade! I claim Stevi as my namesake ( from the Zoya Summer Pixie Dust Collection here) because Stephanie is not my shade but this is a unique one as well! I don’t wear brown often on its own but this is rich & opaque. Great for nail art & accents I think! Perfect formula too. Feels warm & cozy…as a fall shade should.

 photo ZoyaCashmereFall2013Swatches03_zps1d03daa5.jpg
 photo ZoyaCashmereFall2013Swatches04_zps91fcd289.jpg
Zoya Hunter- a dark sea green cream.

2 coats. This shade is fabulous & screams fall! Fabulous hunter green & again, perfect formula. I love this shade, greens are so my thing during fall!

 photo ZoyaCashmereFall2013Swatches05_zps1810ad0e.jpg
 photo ZoyaCashmereFall2013Swatches06_zps8615c8e6.jpg
Zoya Sailor- a classic dark navy cream.

I love this shade! 2 coats of perfection. This is the perfect sailor shade of blue. It is a brisk blue that fits right into fall color categories. I can’t wait to compare this to other blues I own!

 photo ZoyaCashmereFall2013Swatches09_zpsdb12f5bd.jpg
 photo ZoyaCashmereFall2013Swatches010_zps10c96609.jpg
Zoya Pepper- a brick red cream.
(Originally designed for Peter Som/AW13)

2 coats. Sorry I had some problems getting this photographed! This is the perfect brick red for fall & I don’t have anything in this shade with this great of a formula. Very vintage fall.

 photo ZoyaCashmereFall2013Swatches011_zps920f6174.jpg
 photo ZoyaCashmereFall2013Swatches012_zps27e45514.jpg
Zoya Livingston- a lush autumn red.

2 coats. A gorgeous autumn classic but in a Crelly formula! Crelly= Creme + Jelly. The pigmentation & formula…omigarsh fabulous! My favorite red of all time ( Zoya Sooki!) just may have some serious competition! I can’t wait to compare. I probably should have done 3 coats since it is a crelly but it was just so darn perfect…

I don’t know how Zoya does it honestly. They keep putting together fabulous collections with no repeats that are exciting yet somewhat traditional in coloring. Freaking magic is what that is. If you love fall you need these cremes…is it fall yet? I’m having problems choosing my favorite shades but I think I have to go with Hunter, Sailor, & of course Livingston. I think these shades will look really nice across the board as well.

 photo ZoyaCashmeresMain01_zps908d6cb1.jpg

You can purchase these shades & other Zoya products from Zoya.com. I’d appreciate it if you use my share the love link!

What shades are you most excited about? Any colors you want to see compared? I already have some in mind but I’d love to hear what you come up with! I’d also love to hear of any fall nail art you’re interested in seeing!

Zoya Fall 2013 Satin Collection Swatches & Review

 photo ZoyaSatinFall2013Main_zpsca4f2510.jpg

PR Sample. Referral links.

Zoya made a big splash with their Zoya Fall 2013 Pixie Dusts (see them all here!) which I absolutely am in love with but their Satin & Cashmere (up now, check them out!) collections are fabulous as well. Today I’m showing you my review & swatches of the Satin collection which contains 5 metallics & a special edition gold glitter topper. You’re going to love them! Keep reading to see swatches & review!

 photo ZoyaSatinFall201302_zps9c851f1a.jpg
 photo ZoyaSatinCollectionMainSwatches_zps7ad19a0c.jpg

I used a topcoat for all of the shades…purely out of habit. I actually think these were stunning without. They all had nice formulas for me but I’ll dive into that more below. Please keep in mind anything you want to see compared, I’ll be doing a post comparing these shades & the Cashmere collection as well! I added Zoya’s shade descriptions in italics & my own below.

 photo ZoyaFallSatin2013Swatches010_zps1e2a4a0f.jpg
 photo ZoyaFallSatin2013Swatches09_zps2311efdb.jpg
Zoya Giovanna- a stunning emerald green metallic.
(Originally designed for Zang Toi/AW13)
2 coats. This is a glowy, metallic emerald green with slight turquoise tones. I love it. You need to be careful with application or else it will get streaky, go with 3 if you have any problems. I personally didn’t!

 photo ZoyaFallSatin2013Swatches01_zpsa86ac52b.jpg
 photo ZoyaFallSatin2013Swatches02_zps8b9f373d.jpg
Zoya Channing- a rusty or coppery red metallic.

2 coats. This is the perfect fall shade, a rusty orange metallic with hints of red in the base. Fabulously fall like metallic fall leaves. It is very metallic as well, a real light catcher.

 photo ZoyaFallSatin2013Swatches08_zpse4128bdb.jpg
 photo ZoyaFallSatin2013Swatches07_zpsdf9cb4c8.jpg
Zoya Neve- a sapphire blue metallic.
(Originally designed for Zang Toi/AW13)

2 coats. I think this shade is way more complex than described! I see a sapphire blue with an indigo tone so it looks slightly purple-y. The shimmer is fabulous as well with micro shimmer in lots of colors.

 photo ZoyaFallSatin2013Swatches012_zpsba039796.jpg
 photo ZoyaFallSatin2013Swatches011_zps0495677a.jpg
 photo ZoyaFallSatin2013Swatches013_zps06fdcbe8.jpg
 photo ZoyaFallSatin2013Swatches014_zps969008ce.jpg
Zoya Maria Luisa- a gold cellophane accent topper.
(Originally designed for Rafael Cennamo/AW13)
Seen above is 2 thin coats over Zoya Giovanna & a tip gradient over Hunter. I don’t have anything like this gold glitter at all, cellophane is the perfect explanation. These glitters lay completely flat so you won’t need a crazy topcoat. This would also be a brilliant sponging shade.

 photo ZoyaFallSatin2013Swatches03_zpscaee57c4.jpg
 photo ZoyaFallSatin2013Swatches04_zpscd3c2f1c.jpg
Zoya Claudine- a striking dark meteorite gray metallic.

This is the only shade I trusted with one coat! A beautiful gray metallic with olive undertones. Completely unique in my collection. I love grays, especially in fall, & with a green tone? Fab.

 photo ZoyaFallSatin2013Swatches05_zps092d851e.jpg
 photo ZoyaFallSatin2013Swatches06_zps5005efd4.jpg
Zoya Mason- an exciting red violet or “Fandango Pink” metallic.

If you’ve been following my blog then you know I’m a HUGE fan of purples but you don’t see many pinks. I absolutely love this shade! It is metallic, 2 coats opaque, & super sparkly. I see bits & pieces of purple in the sunlight which makes it look really ethereal. It is brighter than most plums/pinks I see during fall & looks like jewels.

A very strong fall collection for me, different but still feels crisp like fall. I love Mason & Claudine especially which I would have never guessed! My husband really likes Giovanna & refers it as “mermaid green” for reference haha. Each shade is really beautiful, perfect for solid manicures, tips, & nail art. Maria Luisa is also a wonderful addition, I don’t have a gold topper that looks similar! I’m quite happy with each shade individually & as a whole. When I review the Cashmere set I think you’ll find them cohesive together as well!

 photo ZoyaSatinCollectionMain_zpse3333f81.jpg

You can purchase these shades & other Zoya products from Zoya.com. I’d appreciate it if you use my share the love link!

What shades are you most excited about? Any colors you want to see compared? I already have some in mind but I’d love to hear what you come up with! I’d also love to hear of any fall nail art you’re interested in seeing!

When it comes to summer, I like it all. Neons & glitters aplenty but sometimes I want something a bit more tranquil. Butter London Poole is definitely a winner. Keep reading to find out why!

Butter London Poole- A tiffany blue with a touch of green murk. 2 coats.

Poole is part of the Butter London Summer Holiday 2013 Collection. One of my other favorite shades ever is Champers which I need to swatch & review on a nice sunny day still. Love that rose gold metallic! Anyway, back to Poole! In the summertime, I consider this a nice palette cleanser. A nice break from my in your face shades & nail art. Love.

I used Poole as a base in this post here as well. Man do I love this combo, black & white glitter just makes me so darn happy!

You can still purchase this shade from Nordstrom, Macys, Dillards, & select stores. This is a shade you need to snap up while you can!

Wet n Wild Summer 2013 Limited Edition Pop Art Craze Coloricon Eye Shadow Trio Collection Swatches & Review

July 31, 2013 By StephanieLouise 354Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F07%2Fwet-n-wild-summer-2013-limited-edition.htmlWet+n+Wild+Summer+2013+Limited+Edition+Pop+Art+Craze+Coloricon+Eye+Shadow+Trio+Collection+Swatches+%26+Review2013-07-31+21%3A45%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F07%2Fwet-n-wild-summer-2013-limited-edition-pop-art-craze-coloricon-eye-shadow-trio-collection-swatches-review.html

 photo WnWColorPopLECollection02_zps66d8227b.jpg

I always run out to buy the Wet n Wild trios. I own all of them from the permanent line & when I saw posts about this new limited edition one I knew I’d be stalking it down. I had to go to 2 different Walgreens to collect them all but for only $2.99 each I didn’t mind. There are 6 trios total, keep reading to see swatches & review of them all!

 photo WnWColorPopLECollection01_zpsd78a0d92.jpg

These trios have a white background & the originals are black. They each come with a sponge applicator & small brush. I used ELF eyelid primer for the swatches below. They’re numbered so I just went from low-high for reference. Check out each trio below, some are matte & some have shimmer. These photos were taken in natural sunlight.

 photo WnWColorPopLECollection08_zpsc3f22c24.jpg
 photo WnWColorPopLECollection09_zps3676c5a2.jpg
 photo WnWColorPopLECollection015_zpsb128ca74.jpg

Your 15 Minutes Aren’t Up!- I like this bright yellow, especially over a white base to make it pop. The purple doesn’t have a lot of pigmentation. It looks pretty matte on the eye though which is nice. The pink shade has mauve tones & is probably my favorite in this trip, nice pigmentation especially for a pink.

 photo WnWColorPopLECollection07_zpse0008f6f.jpg
 photo WnWColorPopLECollection010_zps64cc3313.jpg
 photo WnWColorPopLECollection016_zps410756d2.jpg

A Regular at the Factory- The pale shimmery yellow has some glitter in it. It is fine but there. I needed to do a few swipes to get it like the photo above. I like the turquoise, very pretty. The orange shade is a nice, true orange with light shimmer. I wouldn’t have put these 3 shades together but I really love this trio!

 photo WnWColorPopLECollection06_zps5bfcd173.jpg
 photo WnWColorPopLECollection011_zpsbf6096d8.jpg
 photo WnWColorPopLECollection017_zps28284d82.jpg

Hard Being the It Girl- These 3 shades are pretty much matte which is nice. The light pink is nice but the blue is my favorite, nice pigmentation. The creamy shade was powdery for me when I tried to layer it. I’ll probably only use this for highlighting.

 photo WnWColorPopLECollection05_zpseca5ca38.jpg
 photo WnWColorPopLECollection012_zpsaf193a0f.jpg
 photo WnWColorPopLECollection018_zps4d5c101e.jpg

Three’s A Party- I was super excited about this trio, great red! They may look slightly satin but they are pretty much matte in real life. All three shades have very nice pigmentation. The black isn’t the blackest in my collection but it is still quite nice. They are all soft & easy to use as well.

I’m Seeing Triples!- I think this is the most striking trio visually in the packaging. Love this lime so much, great shade. The blue is probably my least favorite, it isn’t all that spectacular. The purple is kind of a pinky grape, very nice! Pretty much a matte trio as well.

To Muse and Carouse- This was the reason i had to go to 2 stores, people snapped this trio up fast & I can see why. In this collection of 6 this is the only one containing more than one neutral. The brown shade is a satin & has really nice pigmentation. I think it is a great shade. The peach & baby blue are pretty & useable. Overall a nice trio with nice texture.

Overall, nice shade variety. I always love vibrant eyeshadows so I think they delivered that for a reasonable price. This is also mostly a matte collection which is quite a shock, usually Wet n Wild does a lot more shimmer/glitter. Nice change. Wet n Wild shadows are best worn over an eyeshadow primer & I apply them in layers using a patting motion. You have to be really careful not to overblend the matter shades especially. I’m quite happy with my purchase overall!

Which trio do you like the best? Have you found them yet? Which do you find the most unique?

My 2nd RocksBox (Hint: I Love It!)

If you read my review of my first RocksBox (you can see that post here) then you would know I wasn’t wowed. Nothing was quite my style & it just wasn’t a good fit. I gave my feedback, shipped it all back, & now I have my 2nd box! This is a jewelry rental/lease to buy service. For $19 a month, you get 3 pieces of jewelry from specialty designers. I like the idea because you get to try new pieces & buy them if you wish. They send you a return envelope so if you don’t like it…back they go! Keep reading to see what changed my mind about RocksBox!

 photo Rocksbox2Jewelry03_zps92172647.jpg

Like before, my RocksBox came in a nice hard white box with a pink bow. I don’t get too excited since I have to send it back anyway. Something different is that all 3 pieces came in little satchels. I think that’s really smart. They don’t cost much but they help with the presentation & keeping the items neat. The necklaces also had cardboard at the top like you’d hang up in a store. I do definitely wish the earrings came with rubber backs, I never wear earrings without a backing of some kind.

Let’s start with the one piece that I’m just not feeling & work our way to to the one I’m buying pronto.

Geometry Earrings in Rhodium designed by Lucas Jack
Retail Price: $73.00 Member Price: $58.40
Although these earrings are pretty, they feel overpriced. I see earrings similar often & at a more reasonable price. I wouldn’t be so judgey except that on my information sheet Lucas Jack describes themselves as “value-for-the-money” & “luxurious”. Pass for me.

Between the Lines Necklaces in Rhodium and Gold designed by Urban Gem
Retail Price: $56.00 Member Price: $44.80
If I hadn’t received the necklace below, I likely would have bought this one. It is trendy, seasonless, & modern. I like it a lot. I have something in a similar style in gold but this is much more versatile.

Double Crystal Layering Necklace in Emerald designed by Serefina
Retail Price: $85.00 Member Price: $68.00
Why hello beautiful, you’re going to live with me. Forever. It may look a bit pricey but this is 2 separate necklaces. This duo won my heart with the textured chains, high quality clasps, crystal detailing, & overall feel. The gold pieces themselves have a very nice weight to them. I love that the chains are different & different lengths. They are honestly just beautiful & I like wearing them together, separate, & layered with various other pieces.

So if you check out my first box then you know it just wasn’t me. This box was much better! I’d say 2 of of 3 pieces are something like I’d buy. Even the earrings were nice, just not my personal preference. If they had a little something more different about them probably would though! Overall…I think RocksBox redeemed themselves! I’m impressed & very excited to send this box back (they include a prepaid envelope so it is seamless!) for my new box! I’ll be buying one piece though & I’m so happy to do so!

Want to earn credits? Me too! This is important with any subscription service for me because freebies are just plain fun. You’ll receive $25 for every new member that you refer. NEW Butter London in Indigo Punk Swatches & Review

July 30, 2013 By StephanieLouise 356Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F07%2Fnew-butter-london-in-indigo-punk.htmlNEW+Butter+London+in+Indigo+Punk+Swatches+%26+Review2013-07-30+20%3A20%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F07%2Fnew-butter-london-in-indigo-punk-swatches-review.html

Butter London is launching new cosmetics including a few more shades of polish! I have my eye on Jaded Jack (opaque lime green cream) & Brown Sugar (opaque copper shimmer with gold glitter) but today I have Indigo Punk. You’ll be able to purchase these new items including colored mascaras, eyeliners, & lippies from Ulta & butterlondon.com on August 1st. I love this shade & I don’t have anything quite like it! Keep reading to check out swatches!

Butter London Indigo Punk- A combination of indigo extra fine hexes & extra small hexes. 2 coats.

 photo ButterLondonIndigoPunk01_zpsd9c1c229.jpg

I used Seche Vite to really make it shine but this glitter is so fine & small that it really isn’t all that gritty. I love indigo & I’d say this one leans a bit more purple than blue. I absolutely love it & was shocked when it only took 2 coats. Impressive.

Like I said before you’ll be able to snap this baby up August 1st. I think it is definitely a great topper or accent nail. A bit purple…a bit blue…& glittering.
What do you think? Are you an indigo fan as well? What new shades are you looking forward to?
