Zoya Bubbly Collection Summer 2014 Swatches & Review. This is the shade Muse. via @stephlouiseatb

Zoya Muse – A brightened sea blue packed with iridescent glitter & golden/green shimmer. 2 coats.

First let me make excuses- these are so much more gorgeous in person. I found these hard to capture on film because of all the different shades & when they’re really flashing they almost look completely different. Each set of swatches are about 3 coats & I tried to do thin ones so they would be even. The texture on 5 out of 6 shades is kind of a jelly/sheer & each is packed with that iridescent glitter. I also used top coat as I always do.

Again….hard to pick a favorite! I think Stassi is my favorite of this bunch but then again I’ve been loving greens. I think these are all gorgeous to layer over other shades as well although Harper is more dense. I probably won’t layer Harper because I think it looks better opaque but the rest are stunning toppers. These shades are also wonderfully different from one another.

The Bubbly Collection is available on the Zoya website & each shade retails for $9. The Tickled Collection is also up on the blog here & I’ll have some nail art soon as well! What are your favorite shades from this collection?

Summer collections are always some of my favorites! While spring really ushers in the first sprigs of brighter shades summer shades are instantly happy & vibrant. The Zoya Tickled Collection for Summer 2014 is absolutely no exception- these colors are stunning! Keep reading for swatches & review! I’ll also have the Bubbly Collection from Zoya up soon!

Zoya Bubbly Collection Summer 2014 Swatches & Review Rocha via @stephlouiseatb
Zoya Rocha- A red toned orange cream with very faint hidden shimmer. 2 coats.
Zoya Bubbly Collection Summer 2014 Swatches & Review Kitridge via @stephlouiseatb
Zoya Kitridge- A bubblegum pink cream with a bit of brightness. 2 coats.

Zoya Ling- A medium blue cream. 2 coats.
Zoya Bubbly Collection Summer 2014 Swatches & Review Wendy via @stephlouiseatb

Zoya Tilda- A yellow toned granny smith green. 2 coats.
Zoya Bubbly Collection Summer 2014 Swatches & Review Rooney via @stephlouiseatb
Zoya Rooney- A very slight magenta toned pink cream. 2 coats.

I always have the hardest time playing favorites- especially with Zoya shades. All 6 shades in this collection is not only gorgeous but was perfect in 2 coats. Shade-wise I think Wendy might be my favorite of the moment because I am so digging the awesome melon shade! Tilda is likely what I’ll wear when I go see Wicked this week & Ling is an absolutely perfect blue. The pinks & Rocha are lovely too but I think I wore a lot of pink this spring so the other shades are shouting my name.

The Tickled Collection is available on the Zoya website & each shade retails for $9. The Bubbly Collection will be up on the blog next & I’ll have some nail art soon as well! What are your favorite shades?

Laura Geller Baked Stackable Macaroons Set for Face & Eyes Swatches + Reviews

I was really surprised when checking in on the ULTA site because I know I saw the Laura Geller Baked Stackable Macaroons Set come out sometime last year! I did a bit of searching & indeed- it looks like it came out for Holiday 2013 but is now on the ULTA site. I’m not sure if I missed it or if it made a comeback but I was keen to check them out for myself! Keep reading to see all nine shades- 3 for eyes, 3 for cheeks, & 3 highlight shades!

Laura Geller Baked Stackable Macaroons for Face & Eyes Review Swatches with Blush, Highlighter, & Eyeshadow via @stephlouiseatb

From ULTA: A delightful assortment of Baked confections awaits! Swirls of liquid pigments are baked on terracotta pans for 24 hours and finished by hand to create three complementary NEW shades each of blush, highlighter and eyeshadow in soft washes of silky, long-wearing color. Inspired by luxurious, light-as-air sweets, these gorgeous goodies are perfect for creating unlimited looks for the face and eyes.

I was honestly hesitant to buy this set because I didn’t see people leaning one way or another in the reviewer section. They seriously love or hate it which, although likely completely true, is confusing as a customer. I don’t know how long this set will be availible but I figured for everyone else out there considering purchasing this post would be helpful to decide if it for you or not. I’m personally pretty familiar with Laura Geller baked products- some contain glitter, some glow, & some are nearly metallic. You won’t find matte in this collection so I won’t even go there on this one!

Laura Geller Baked Stackable Macaroons for Face & Eyes Review Swatches with Blush, Highlighter, & Eyeshadow via @stephlouiseatb

I think the packaging is adorable- a sweet macaroon inspired gift box with a trio of boxes topped with a macaroon containing your shades. It is simple & clean so it isn’t too young or mature feeling but somewhere in-between. Each shade comes in a nice sized compact housing1.8 grams of products each- which will last you ages since it is baked. I have a few eyeshadows & these are the same- half the top is clear plastic & the other half is an interior mirror.

All swatches are foiled on bare skin. Applied dry they’re softer & not as pigmented but I wanted to show what you can get at full pigmentation. Possibilities are endless really because these are baked- your shades might lean a bit more one way or another. The only shade I really take issue with dry I’ll address below.

Laura Geller Baked Brulee Highlighters in Honey Lavender, Toasted Coconut, & Dulce de Leche.

Aren’t these swirled shades beautiful? Honey Lavender has the most gorgeous swirls of lavender throughout it. Toasted Coconut is an amazing beige, so easy to wear & the perfect highlighter for all over the face & eyes. Dulce de Leche is also beige but more brown toned & deeper. I have to have a careful hand with this one on the cheeks but I love it on the eyes!

Laura Geller Baked Brulee Blushes in Gingerbread, Lychee Rose, & Cassis Violet.

I think this is my favorite trio & the most expected! Gingerbread is a surprise hit- in the pan it was hard for me to see how it would look on my cheeks but the copper-y shade is lovely! Lychee Rose is an amazing coral pink- really stunning. Cassis Violet is a beautiful plummy violet with a sheen & smoothness that applies perfectly.

Laura Geller Baked Brulee Eyeshadows in Orange Blossom, Mocha Latte, & Chestnut.

I honestly think these could have been bronzers & been a trio of face products but since they can be used all over the face I think of them as multi-purpose. Orange Blossom is the messiest of the bunch- the gold flecks looked like this before I even touched it. I have a really hard time applying this dry though so I recommend using it wet to avoid lots of fallout. Mocha Latte is more of a red based brown & applies well wet or dry. Very even in texture. Chestnut could have been in the highlighter category for me actually & it’s a very light taupe-y beige. This one also applies well & is definitely a multi-tasker shade.

Swatches left to right: Laura Geller Baked Brulee Eyeshadows in Orange Blossom, Mocha Latte, & Chestnut.

I think this set of nine is an excellent value- this is set is also available online only for $49. Laura Geller baked products (& usually any baked products) take a nice, long time to get through. They also have the benefit of being used wet or dry. All of the shades are beautiful most have multiple uses as well. If you’re interested & know that these are all going to contain shimmer then I recommend checking it out for yourself while it is still available.

Which Laura Geller baked products are your favorite? Have you checked out this kit?

Glossybox USA for April 2014 featuring Ciate, LA Splash, & More!

I’m a bit late with my Glossybox this month but to be fair…so was Glossybox! But I think it was worth the wait! This month we have some makeup, nail polish, & body care- all things I really enjoy sampling. Some full sizes too! Keep reading for all the details!

Here’s the card for this month, again no theme inside but you do get basic information. Remember to click to enlarge if need be.

 photo GlossyboxApril2014SwatchesReview04_zpsfd7326d1.jpg

Inside the April 2014 Glossybox for USA-

Bellapierre Cosmetics Super Gloss in Vanilla Pink– This is a full sized gloss & has lots of moisturizing qualities like vitamin E, jojoba, avocado, & sunflower waxes. It also claimes to be infused with a natural plumper. I am honestly trying to decide on the scent & I’m thinking maybe something apple pie-ish? Sounds odd but I kind of like it, smells a bit warm. I don’t know about this shade all over the lip yet but I think in the center of my lip it will be lovely.

Caldrea No 2 Tea Olive Lime Body Wash- I tried this in the shower this morning & loved it! So naturally energizing- I’d love to check out more scents. It was a softer scent on my skin but bubbled up nicely!

Ciate Paint Pot in Kitten Heels- This is my first Ciate polish I believe because when they launched they burned some blogger bridges about their Caviar kits. Anyway, moving on, the shade is absolutely lovely & the bottle is sleek. I don’t love my bow though- I think it is crooked.

LA Splash Cosmetics Eyeshadow Sealer/Base- This is supposed to be used as a base for either glitter or eyeshadow but I don’t think it is tacky enough for dense glitter application. I don’t like how long the handle is either- it seems absolutely unnecessary since it is just a doe foot. Still excited to try it although I don’t know if I’d pay the $9 price tag yet.

Aqua Spa Relax Body Creme in Lavender & Chamomile- I’m in love! I used this right after a long bath yesterday when I was trying to make myself feel less sick. Could this have been the magical cure? Okay likely not but the scent is absolutely relaxing & this is made in the USA for a decent price as well!

 photo GlossyboxApril2014SwatchesReview05_zps97242b64.jpg
 photo GlossyboxApril2014SwatchesReview06_zps71c167cb.jpg

The two items I was most excited about were the Ciate Paint Pot in Kitten Heels & the Bellapierre gloss in Vanilla Pink because they’re both full-sized & they look perfect for summer. I love the orange base to the red in the Ciate shade & the golden shimmer is lovely. This gloss shade is unexpected- more of a peachy nude & might be something I use more in the center of my lip to make them appear fuller.

I’m really loving this box! It was full of products I actually enjoy & has a great value as well. If you’re interested in signing up for Glossybox USA it is a monthly subscription service for only $21 a month. I have posted lots of reviews so check them out for reference!

What did you think of this box? Have you signed up for Glossybox? If you got the April Box, did you get anything different?

Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks in Defiant Coral & Potent Review + Lip Swatches

May 14, 2014 By StephanieLouise 121Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2014%2F05%2Festee-lauder-pure-color-envy-sculpting.htmlEstee+Lauder+Pure+Color+Envy+Sculpting+Lipsticks+in+Defiant+Coral+%26+Potent+Review+%2B+Lip+Swatches2014-05-14+14%3A11%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2014%2F05%2Festee-lauder-pure-color-envy-sculpting-lipsticks-in-defiant-coral-potent-review-lip-swatches.html

I bought it. Affiliate links.

First off- I’m very sick today. So sick I almost didn’t get up to post. But I honestly love these lipsticks so much that it pushed me through. Guess that gives away if I think you should love them or leave them! I had seen a little buzz about the Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks but it was seeing them in person that totally converted me. I currently own two Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lipsticks in Defiant Coral & Potent which are absolutely becoming fast favorites in my large stash. What makes them stand out from the rest? Keep reading to find out!

Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks in Defiant Coral & Potent Review + Lip Swatches via @stephlouiseatb
Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks in Defiant Coral & Potent Review + Lip Swatches via @stephlouiseatb

The packaging on this collection is a deep navy with metallic gold touches. I love the magnetic closure- I want all lipsticks to do this lately because they feel more secure & have a nice balance weight-wise. The scent is a soft, sweet vanilla which I definitely wasn’t expecting since Estee Lauder doesn’t normally go that route.

So Estee Lauder’s promise behind this line is “A color-rich, high-intensity sculpting lip formula.” They also say that these shades are “statement-making shades feature a time-release complex that captures and seals in moisture, softening lips. They glide on effortlessly for smooth, luxurious wear that lasts for up to six hours.”

Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks in Defiant Coral & Potent Review + Lip Swatches via @stephlouiseatb

While I don’t think they quite last up to 6 hours they are worth reapplying. The shades are both very creamy & pigmented but not drying. Normally pigmentation doesn’t necessarily go hand in hand with moisturization so this is an excellent new find. They apply bold with very little effort & don’t feel heavy. They seem to hug my lips without drying them out or sliding around. These may just be the perfect formulation for a bold, comfortable lip color.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks in Defiant Coral & Potent Review + Lip Swatches via @stephlouiseatb (Bare Lips)

Here are my bare lips. You can see I don’t have much pigmentation. Also I was testing a new tinted moisturizer this day- obviously I needed some more moisture going on! Still maneuvering that one!

Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks in Defiant Coral & Potent Review + Lip Swatches via @stephlouiseatb

Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick in 310 Potent- A soft slightly peach/nude toned creamy pink.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks in Defiant Coral & Potent Review + Lip Swatches via @stephlouiseatb

Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick in 320 Defiant Coral- A bright medium coral leaning orange with quite warm undertones. (It looks a bit more reddened on me likely because I’m so fair.)

I would definitely like to get my hands on a few more shades- especially this fall/winter when my lips are ultra chapped. I currently have my eye on the Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipsticks in Tumultuous Pink & Vengeful Red. I’ll have to hold off at the moment though because these shades are a bit of a splurge at $30 each from Sephora, Nordstrom, & wherever Estee Lauder cosmetics are sold.

Have you tried this line yet? Definitely different from my older Estee Lauder lipsticks! What shades are calling your name?

Perlier Honey Miel Royal Elixir Facial Serum Review

Skincare is really on my mind lately, especially with the seasons changing quickly here. Humidity is here & the gross heat isn’t far behind! I may have dry skin but don’t think I don’t feel it start to get grossly hot & uncomfortable! The Perlier Honey Miel Royal Elixir Facial Serum was the perfect new product to adjust my skincare routine- it even adds a golden glow! keep reading to find out more!

From Perlier, the exclusive innovative Youth Elixir with fresh Royal Jelly, the precious secret of longevity of the Queen bee, which lives 50 times longer than the other bees thanks to this extraordinary nourishment. A natural, unique and imitable tonic, which is capable to give the look of new life into aged skin.

It is a true cosmetic prodigy, which mixes the extraordinary regenerating power of Royal Jelly, fresh as if recently collected, (never freeze dried or made into a powder) and the incredible vital energy of true Italian organic Honey for unprecedented age-defying effectiveness.

 photo PerlierHoneyMielRoyalElixirFacialSerumReview02_zps596a542e.jpg

Perlier suggests using this serum both day & night each day but I have only been using it during the day. I love the soft, barely there golden glow it gives my skin because it had ultra fine golden shimmer inside. If you’re currently ready to say this isn’t for you please believe that you don’t look glittery at all- just healthily glowy. I found that I could mix this a bit with a foundation for a tinted moisturizer that was creamy to the touch. I also love that it has a pump!

The serum itself blends in seamlessly with my skin. I find that it incorporates in easily & melts nicely but my dry skin definitely needs more moisture so I top it with some. This feels creamy & smells a bit floral. Perlier replaced water with rose distillate, which provides toning and moisturizing properties & leads to that lovely scent. This is a pricey serum so if I was going to change one thing it would be maybe some more natural ingredients & for me personally even more moisturization. I actually really enjoy using this down my neck & on my decolletage because of the light glow- really pretty!

You can purchase the Perlier Honey Miel Royal Elixir Facial Serum for $99 from HSN currently. What are your favorite serums? How about your favorite honey-based products? I have a whole post about my favorite Honey Obsessed products if you’re interested!

Marc Jacobs Daisy Delight Fragrance for Spring 2014 is Delightful!

Marc Jacobs is one of those brands I happen to collect fragrances from. Something about the notes works really well with my body chemistry which is key when you’re picking your own personal scents. Keep reading to see why Marc Jacobs Daisy Delight is fabulous for spring!
From Sephora:
Daisy Marc Jacobs Delight editions bloom with breezy, fun florals splashed in effervescent colors. Taking inspiration from the elegant feminine allure of Daisy classic, the new limited editions turn up the brightness with irresistibly vibrant hues.

A luminous bouquet, bursting with fresh-picked florals, Daisy Delight edition is a vibrant expression of Daisy signature. The fragrance blooms into a vibrant burst of quince flower and iris, brightened with crisp red apple. Sun-ripened woods and musks dry town to a warm, sensual embrace.

Notes:
Apple, Quince Flower, Feesia, Iris, Gardenia, Peony, Musks, Cedarwood, Sandalwood.
Style:
Playful. Surprising. Delightfully Fun.

First of all- I love the original Marc Jacobs Daisy & Daisy Eau So Fresh both anyway. I am always drawn to both the Daisy & Daisy Eau So Fresh from Marc Jacobs each year for limited edition scents since they draw from the original fragrances. Last year I bought the Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine which I reviewed & was one of my favorite fragrances of the year. When hubby & I smelled both versions this year we both agreed we preferred the Marc Jacobs Daisy Delight over the Daisy Delight Eau So Fresh. The Delight seems to be a bit more sensual spring with woods & apples along with bright notes while the other seemed to have less levels & dimension. Please keep in mind that fragrances don’t smell the same on everyone so what I love about this perfume might be more of a backstory on your own skin!

This is a smaller bottle size than the Marc Jacobs Daisy Delight Eau So Fresh which is 2.5 fl oz. for $89 while the Delight is 1.7 fl oz & $75. Although pricer per ounce the Delight also lasted significantly longer on my skin personally which is always something I consider.

You can purchase the Marc Jacobs Daisy Delight fragrance for $75 from Sephora, Macy’s, Nordstrom, Dillard’s, & wherever you can scoop up Marc Jacobs limited edition fragrances near you.

Butter London Nail Polish in Sozzled– a kelly green cream.

Butter London Nail Polish in Stroppy– a grape purple foil shimmer with pink, purple, & blue shimmers.

I really love all 3 of these shades! Stroppy is different from like everything I have & I have tons of purple! Because I’m a purple person! I thought I’d have something like Sozzled because I’m a collector of greens but the rest of my stash is somehow different. I absolutely love that formula as well, it was a really easy 2 coats. Chuffed is very summery & although a bit more sheer I think I’ll probably be wearing this on my toes because the light hitting that gold is really reflective & pretty.

Let me start with the cream shadows first! I’ve reviewed a few cream shadow options from Butter London before but these are more colorful. The pink shade is Butter London Wink Cream Eye Shadow in Pistol Pink which is a pastel rose-toned pink & the purple is Butter London Wink Cream Eye Shadow in Indigo Punk which is a soft lavender. Both contain kind of a soft nearly metallic pearl. I found that Pistol Pink had more pigmentation in one easy swipe but both shades are totally blendable & layer nicely- just let them dry in between coats. The formula on this line is lovely & doesn’t cream on me over primer after setting.

I am still totally in love with the Butter London Cheeky Cream Blushes (more reviewed here!) & this shade in Piccadilly Circus is exactly what I needed in my life! Kind of a poppy red this shade may look intimidating but it blends out beautifully & looks absolutely gorgeous on the skin. I really love this formulas SO much! That gorgeous yellow shade is Butter London Wink Eye Pencil in Cherrio which is a nice brightened medium true yellow with gold shimmer. I don’t find the gold to overtake this at all which is why I love it! If you’re into color then you are probably with me since I think these two shades are my favorites out of the entire collection. I love reds on the cheeks & I’ve been searching for an excellent yellow eyeliner for ages- this is it!

I also wanted to show you this spring-y but also summer appropriate eye look I created. I shared a teaser in Instagram & you guys seemed to love it! I blended Pistol Pink all over my lid with Indigo Punk on the outer edge. On my lower lashline is Butter London Wink Eye Pencil in Cherrio which really pops, am I right? Love!

Trind Treatments + Nail Color Swatches & Review for Spring/Summer 2014

Trind is a line completely new to me & I am digging these shades for spring/summer! I was also sent a few nail care products to try & I have some thoughts on those as well. New brand to me & completely different bottle shape from what I have in my stash too! Keep reading to check out my thoughts!

The Trind Caring Color Line offers a fascinating palette of fashionable shades for fabulous nails. Nail color that specially has been developed to maintain the health and vitality of your nails. The high-tech innovative formulation in Caring Colors contains active ingredients that strengthen and improve the overall condition of the nail, optimize adhesion of polish to prolong the life of your manicure, and creates a beautiful sheen.

First let’s talk about the treatment type products from Trind: Nailpolish Remover, Keratin Nail Restorer, & Keratin Nail Protector.  My favorite is the Trind remover because it reminds me an awful lot of a remover I absolutely love that comes in a purple shade from a well-known brand. Really moisturizing & great removal- my nails don’t look parched at all afterward! The Keratin Nail Restorer is used before the Protector. You apply it to your bare nails & run in the excess. Then you apply the Protector which acts as your basecoat & apply polish over top. It is meant for strengthening. I don’t find it helps harden my nails but it definitely helped with peeling!

I have 6 shades from their spring/summer collection to share with you today. All swatches are with topcoat. All of these shades were a bit more dense than most polishes but with careful application you only need about two coats. I could’ve used 3 on Trind Surf’s Up but my visible nail line wasn’t as apparent in real life. I did wear test these shades & found that without topcoat & with the provided base coat I got about 3 days of wear before chipping which is quite good for me!
