When it comes to facial masks, I happen to be addicted. Masks help cure all of my skin ailments…from dry to oily & dull to acne prone! There is always something promising me that my skin could be just a bit better!

From Reviva Labs: An excellent deep cleansing, normalizing mask for all skin types. Helps skin achieve proper oil/moisture balance.

The Hawaiian Seaweed Mask from Reviva Labs is the perfect mask to keep your skin on the right track. While I need something a bit deeper when my skin is more acne prone or more moisturizing when it is ultra-dry, this is the perfect balancing act. Not too moisturizing or too drying this mask leaves me skin feeling just a notch or two better than before. I love masks like this because it makes your skin feel just a bit cleaner & freer! This is the first clay mask I’ve ever recommended for normal skin!

To pick up this great maintaining mask, visit the Reviva Labs website here.  Clearly I really like it! What do you guys think? Do you use masks frequently or only when problems arise?

Jurlique Hand Care Essentials Holiday Set Open Box & Review!

December 12, 2012 By StephanieLouise 616Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fjurlique-hand-care-essentials-holiday.htmlJurlique+Hand+Care+Essentials+Holiday+Set+Open+Box+%26+Review%212012-12-12+00%3A29%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fjurlique-hand-care-essentials-holiday-set-open-box-review.html

Jurlique has rolled out a few holiday centered gift ideas perfect for the beauty lover on your list. Jurlique was nice enough to send one my way so I can show it off to you guys! If you love hand creams (why yes I do!) then you’ll adore this set!
From Jurlique:

The Set Contents:

  • Rose Hand Cream, 40ml
  • Lavender Hand Cream, 40ml
  • Jasmine Hand Cream, 40ml
  • Citrus Hand Cream, 40ml

Key Ingredients:

  • Enriched with Jurlique’s Proprietary Biodynamic Blend of herbs and flowers includes Rose, Marshmallow, Chamomile, Calendula, Viola, Daisy, Pansy, Sweet Violet and Echinacea and is traditionally used for its hydrating and soothing effects.

I find packaging (especially holiday packaging!) to be super important. I mean, if I am buying a nice pre-wrapped gift…I definitely want to see what they’re getting! I love not having to wrap it myself but I still want to see what the finished product looks like on the inside!

Photobucket

There’s an outside sleeve with pretty red & holly background. This also has a green ribbon in the corner.

Photobucket
Photobucket

Beneath that is an engraved golden box which is just too lovely & definitely reuseable. This will also stay open on its own with a little ribbon. Great packaging.

Photobucket

The products themselves come in their usual boxes inside & then you can see the tubes. These are those handy metal-type tubes. I paint so I tend to prefer these, you can squeeze every little bit of product out! These tubes also all come sealed & have a handy little tool on the cap to prick it open as well. I really love the lavender one for night time use & it keeps my cuticles nice & soft too! I’m not big on citrus scents in general but this one is pleasing as well!

Photobucket

I love these hand creams & this set is a great value if you do too! This set is valued at $100 but you only pay $62. These are full-sized hand lotions & because you get 4 you could break them up or give them as one big gift! My personal favorites are the Jasmine & Rose…but I am biased since I’m a bit obsessive about both those scents!

What do you think of this set set from Jurlique? Are your parched winter hands looking for a new hand cream this season? What are some of your favorite scents?

Prestiche Body Products Review…You’ll Love Them!

December 11, 2012 By StephanieLouise 617Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fprestiche-body-products-reviewyoull.htmlPrestiche+Body+Products+Review...You%27ll+Love+Them%212012-12-11+20%3A11%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fprestiche-body-products-review-youll-love-them.html

Photobucket

So I was recently given the opportunity to try out some body products from a brand that is new to me called Prestiche. I was excited as it seems much like LUSH…another shop I adore! They actually have more products from Prestiche that are right up my alley though & some great scents I was dying to check out! I went ahead & grabbed 5 different products in 5 different scents! I also have an awesome discount code so check that out below!

So when I opened the box full of goodies, my house instantly smelled good. So good. In fact, as I started opening containers, the scents wafted up the stairs to my husband! He came downstairs & asked what the wonderful smell was! Now THAT is impressive right? I mean, he certainly doesn’t ask about many of my beauty items! On top of that, Prestiche is natural & the scents are some of  the most intoxicating I’ve ever had the pleasure to try!

Photobucket

Prestiche Wonder Polish in Green Apple: This was hubby’s favorite so I figured I would talk about it first! This is probably my favorite green apple scented item I’ve ever had…incredible! The ultra fine sea salt makes the perfect body polisher & the scent…oh my gosh! This apple scent is intoxicating: tart but sweet & fills your whole bathroom! Excellent exfoliator for my skin & you don’t have to use too much!

Photobucket

Prestiche Creme de la Creme in Jasmine: If you are a long time follower than you won’t be surprised to see one of the fragrances I chose as being Jasmine. I have an addiction. The texture of this lotion is divine & feels like whipped silk. The scent stays & stays while moisturizing without feeling greasy!

Photobucket

Prestiche Mineral Treat in Rose: If you follow me on YouTube, you would have seen these in my monthly favorites! I was only breaking into these new products & fell head over heels! These dead sea salts are mixed with the most intoxicating rose oil & totally enveloped my bathroom in scent. There have been a lot of rose scents I didn’t care for but this smells just like real roses but amplified. Awesome!

Photobucket

Prestiche Butter Brulee in Passionfruit: This definitely has a texture all its own! At first, I was really confused… It feels hard in the container & I scraped it out with my finger. It smells wonderfully tropical & I can detect a touch of pineapple in this Passionfruit scent. As I was reading the back of the container I noticed something strange about the texture…it almost started melting? Indeed. The warmth from my hands melted this down into the softest of textures, almost a mix of dense butter & oil. It felt heavenly & you don’t need a lot. Melts right into your skin & smells incredible! My skin was left incredibly smooth & it melts in to keep it that way!

Photobucket

Prestiche Soap Bar in Gâteau au Chocolat: This smells heavenly…Ryan actually thought they sent me chocolates! This soap bar has a line of vanilla through it which gives it a lovely marble effect. It almost smells like a vanilla pound cake mixed with fudge…I could have easily wrapped this in foil & hubby would have tried to eat it! This is packed with shea butter & essential oils which leaves your body feeling super moisturized.

Here are some shots so you can see what the granules look like & the textures! On the left is the Butter Brulee so after about a minute & you can see it has started to melt down into the skin!

Photobucket

Left to right: Prestiche products in Passionfruit Butter Brulee, Jasmine Creme de la Creme, Green Apple Wonder Polish, & Rose Mineral Treat!

I am totally in love & these scents last & last. In love! Prestiche was kind enough to pass along a MEGA discount code too! If you enter stephL60 you’ll receive a whopping 60% OFF YOUR ORDER! Wowie! I’m not making any money off this or anything, just a nice bonus they passed along for you guys! I think these would be perfect for the gifting season & year round, I’m totally addicted! Check out their many natural products & variety of scents at http://www.prestiche.com!

5 Days of Revlon Lip Products: Pink Colorburst Lip Butters

December 11, 2012 By StephanieLouise 618Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2F5-days-of-revlon-lip-products-pink.html5+Days+of+Revlon+Lip+Products%3A+Pink+Colorburst+Lip+Butters2012-12-11+14%3A30%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2F5-days-of-revlon-lip-products-pink-colorburst-lip-butters.html

Photobucket

I had to break up my Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter collection into 3 parts & today I will be bringing you the pinks! Since this is the first post I’ll also delve into the texture & packaging. Pinks are normally the colors I am asked most about when it comes to the Lip Butter range so it was a natural place to start!

Photobucket
Photobucket

Packaging:
These come in a more cheery version of the Revlon Colorburst Lipsticks which have black quilted packaging. These have a window on top to see the shade, cute names with coordinating colored stickers on the base, & coordinating tubes these are wonderfully easy to differentiate. I can easily grab whichever shade I’m looking on without having to dig around reading names or opening up lots of tubes.  These have silver packaging around the product itself & twist up easily for use. They are an average square shape overall & aren’t awkward to store. Plus, they’re just plain cute.

You can see in the swatches that these have a lovely pigment & in the other photo you can see the moisture from the light hitting them. This translates onto the lips to make them look fuller & more moisture rich. You’ll see I say below a few shades are more opaque but this is with a few swipes. It just means you can build up a nice opaque shade.

Photobucket
Photobucket
Left to right we have:

Sugar Frosting- This is the sheerest of the pinks & you can barely see the pink as a base. What you DO see is an awesome ultra-fine super light pink shimmer. I like this alone & also over another shade to punch it up or rehydrate my lips.

Strawberry Shortcake- The perfect light, wearable pink. This is very cool & doesn’t have the brightness that the Sweet Tart shade has.

Sweet Tart- A bright light pink. Lovely & not so bright that it isn’t an easy to wear pink.

Pink Truffle- This is an awesome blend of pink & nude…it is almost an even mix! No shimmer, gorgeous. I love this as a neutral shade & if it didn’t have “Pink” in the name, I likely would have put this in with my nudes! One of the more opaque shades.

Lollipop- A bright medium fuschia with blue/purple shimmer. I love this shade & wear it often year round. One of the more opaque shades. I get lots of compliments on this color. The shimmer isn’t really visible on the lips but you can see it under the lighted swatches.

Overall:
I am definitely a Lip Butter fanatic. Although some feel they are over hyped or just don’t work well, these are definitely must have products for me. The texture, wear, color selection, packaging, & wide availability come together to make this product easily one of my favorites. I have 1-3 of these on me at any given time. They go on soft & work well on my sometimes dry lips. I find them to be just moisturizing enough to be a bit more than a moisture rich lipstick. These also last nicely on me & don’t wear off unevenly.

The pink shades especially are top notch & I feel like they are all different enough to own. Clearly, there are more options in the store but I find any of these 5 work well in any “I need a pink!” instance. The Lip Butters themselves are usually pigmented enough to wear alone but the variety of shades is what makes these unique. For instance, Sugar Frosting is super sheer & just leaves a hint of pink sheen/shimmer which looks great alone or over any shade I might be wearing. Lollipop I often wear on its own. I have a nice variety of neutral to light to bright pinks here.

These feel like balms, look like a balm/lipstick hybrid, & just look great. I love them. What are some of your favorite pink Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter shades?

Stay tuned for the rest of the shades tomorrow & Thursday! Friday you’ll be seeing my Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains…highly requested!

China Glaze Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away Swatches

December 10, 2012 By StephanieLouise 619Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fchina-glaze-cirque-du-soleil-worlds.htmlChina+Glaze+Cirque+du+Soleil%3A+Worlds+Away+Swatches2012-12-10+23%3A50%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fchina-glaze-cirque-du-soleil-worlds-away-swatches.html

Photobucket

So I ended up only picking up 3 polishes from the Cirque Collection from China Glaze. I wanted some of the cremes but I just couldn’t decide & ended up passing. I was most excited for the black & white glitter because that is so crazy rare in the mainstream nail world. The other 2 also happen to be glitters.

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket
China Glaze Whirled Away: A clear base with extra large white hex glitter, medium black hex glitter, & black long bar glitter. Seen here over China Glaze Four Leaf Clover. I kind of hate this. I was SO excited about this shade because I love black & white combos but man…total fail. For one thing, the huge white hexes are REALLY hard to fish out of the bottle. So tough. The rest of the glitter is uncooperative as well. I applied this multiple times because I kept getting bubbling. Too much base, not enough glitter. The glitters also didn’t lay flat 🙁

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket

China Glaze Water You Waiting For: Blurple, blue, & teal micro & small glitter mix in a slightly blue base. 3 coats.

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket

China Glaze It’s A Trap-Eze!: A lilac toned white milky base with small & medium rainbow hexes. This is two coats. Application is easy as is color disbursement. Glitter finish. It will need a dense top coat (probably multiple coats) if you want a smooth finish.

Out of the 3 polishes I snagged, It’s A Trap-Eze! is clearly & overwhelmingly my favorite. I adore it. Water You Waiting For just wasn’t as exciting to wear as I had hoped. I thought it would be pretty for winter like a water glitter…but it kind of felt meh. Whilred Away? Man let’s not even get into that, I think I said my peace above. Although…BUMMED!

So there are my 3 shades! I urge you to pick up It’s A Trap-Eze! if you dig shades like this, it is so full of win. I adored wearing it & see myself wearing it a lot all year long! Now to snag some backups…

What shades did you pick up from the China Glaze Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away collection? Any of these strike your fancy?

5 Days of Revlon Lip Reviews: Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipsticks in Socialite & Couture

December 10, 2012 By StephanieLouise 6201 Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2F5-days-of-revlon-lip-reviews-revlon.html5+Days+of+Revlon+Lip+Reviews%3A+Revlon+Colorstay+Ultimate+Suede+Lipsticks+in+Socialite+%26+Couture2012-12-10+15%3A13%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2F5-days-of-revlon-lip-reviews-revlon-colorstay-ultimate-suede-lipsticks-in-socialite-couture.html

Photobucket

So I’m starting a new series called “5 Days of” & I’m planning to start it every week! This will be 5 days of something similar but different. This week, the theme is Revlon Lip Products…a topic I get lots of requests for! Now that I think I have finally bought the majority of the shades I wanted in the various lines, I’m ready to bring you swatches! Throughout the week you’ll be seeing shades from the Lip Butters & the Kissable Balm Stains. Not today! Today i have my official review of the Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipsticks. & boy do I have a lot to say.

Looking back I really liked the prior formula of the Revlon Colorstay Lipsticks. They were a bit drying, but they lasted great & some of the shades were perfection on me! I bought some backups recently at Big Lots because I like them so much. When I heard they were redoing this line I was excited, Revlon hasn’t had a lip product misstep in ages. I think they hit their end mark.

I picked up 2 of these at my local CVS because they pricey. I believe around $10-$12 a piece? The colors were attractive & I picked up the 2 shades I thought I’d wear most.

Photobucket
Photobucket

Left Swatch: Couture is a red tinged medium pink with a bit of a purple/blue tinged sheen. It isn’t dramatic but noticeable when swatched.

Right Swatch: Socialite is a nice light pink that looks ultra moisturizing when swatched. I thought this would be a nice base for the Barbie pink lips.

Photobucket

Let’s talk about these shades straight out of the tube. These swatches were about 3 swipes so you could see the color accurately, these don’t apply all that pigmented. When swatched, they feel really smooth, like suede should I suppose. They even feel a bit moisturizing. They dry suede which is more of a nail polish term. Kind of a semi-matte appearance & almost like a silicone type appearance.

Photobucket

The packaging is pretty average for Revlon…especially since it is almost identical to the original Colostay lipsticks. Here it is next to my Revlon Photo Ready Concealer…again a repeat. The packaging is just okay. As far as Revlon goes, this is a bit disappointing. I so love the packaging of their other lip products that I wish they had shown us something we haven’t seen multiple times before.

Okay…time for the feel. I was prepared to need nice smooth lips for application which is necessary with any long wear lip products. These feel nice on the lips at the beginning of application. The color feels even a bit moisturizing on & looks nice like the swatches. The smell is unpleasant & pretty plastic/chemically but that doesn’t kill me. Then they begin to set.

Photobucket

As they set, they do some of the normal things long wearing lip products do. They become drying, settle into lines, etc. But they take things to a whole new awful level. First of all, they become really tacky. REALLY tacky. This happens sometimes when products need to “set” but this is extreme. It felt like a thin layer of some kind of quick dry glue. Ouch. Next…the color morphed. It turned into a whole new shade…muddy & not pretty anymore. DISLIKE! I bought these shades for a reason ya know?

So then…it actually began peeling off. Physically peeling. It looked disgusting. Felt disgusting. Somehow, they managed to withdraw every drop of moisture I’ve ever had on my lips. They shriveled guys…I’ve never seen anything like it. My lips actually kind of hurt from it peeling & being so dry. Can’t do it guys, can’t. These are NOT an improvement on the original Colorstays & if you want something like this, head to Big Lots now & scoop up some of those.

I honestly tried to make these work. Glosses, balms, other lipsticks, I tried. No go. I just don’t like them. The color shift is probably the worst for me since I thought these shades were quite pretty. Obviously, I’m noting these are a FAIL.

There you have it! Have you tried these products? Like them? Any tips for me since I’d like to?
Stay tuned this week for more lip products from Revlon…that I think you’ll love!

IT Factor Simply It Quick Blowdry Smoothing Lotion Review

December 7, 2012 By StephanieLouise 621Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fit-factor-simply-it-quick-blowdry.htmlIT+Factor+Simply+It+Quick+Blowdry+Smoothing+Lotion+Review2012-12-07+19%3A47%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fit-factor-simply-it-quick-blowdry-smoothing-lotion-review.html

I’ve been using this product for a long time & I am so excited to have the opportunity to share my thoughts with you! Being sick, this has been super helpful in cutting down my wet hair time…yay!

Photobucket

What IT Factor Says: It Factor’s proprietary VaporBoost system reduces drying time by up to 50%. With the help of Sunflower Seed Oil & Green Tea Extract, Simply It shields against free radicals, while providing UV and heat protection. The healthy formula features soy protein to smooth and soften hair, wheat and silk amino acids to replenish moisture to damaged and dull hair and to impart shine, and bottlebrush extract to add body and bounce with all-day soft hold.
All It Factor products are free of harsh sulfates and alcohols, parabens and sodium chloride–making them 100% safe for color treated and chemically straightened hair.

How to use: Apply 1-3 pumps of Simply It into your palms, rub together and smooth through wet or dry hair.

Why I Love It: I’ve been using the IT Factor Quick Blowdry Smoothing Lotion almost every time after washing my hair. I love that it doesn’t feel like I’ve added product to my hair! I mean, you can tell it dries faster, softer, & that it is smoother…but I don’t feel product! This is awesome because I never know what else I will add to my hair whether it is heat protectant the next day (this has it inside if you use it that day!), curl activator, hair oils, or what have you. Zero product build up & my hair feels just as clean! I already love the IT Factor Quick Blowdry Shampoo & Conditioner & this was an awesome addition! I can’t wait to see what else they come out with, I’d love to see more!To learn more, check out the IT Factor website.

Glossybox for November 2012 featuring Illamasqua, Kryolan, & More!

December 7, 2012 By StephanieLouise 622Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fglossybox-for-november-2012-featuring.htmlGlossybox+for+November+2012+featuring+Illamasqua%2C+Kryolan%2C+%26+More%212012-12-07+14%3A18%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fglossybox-for-november-2012-featuring-illamasqua-kryolan-more.html

So normally I love to do a video open box for my GLOSSYBOX supscription but that just isn’t happening. I am so sick guys. Seriously. No one wants to see this. I’m still working hard to bring you the best in beauty but there is no way you want to see me on camera. A blog post only will simply have to do!

Photobucket

I know some people weren’t thrilled with this GLOSSYBOX & while I don’t think it was the best I certainly didn’t think it was a bad box. With 2 makeup items, one nail item, one hair item, & one skin product I thought it was decently rounded out. One of the products alone nearly paid for the box.

Photobucket
Here’s the Glossybox Magazine that comes with every box. Always in color, beautiful, & a nice read.

Photobucket
Photobucket

Illamasqua Lip & Eye Medium Pencil in Honour: This pencil is a not too soft not too hard medium-dark brown. I realize this isn’t something I will be rocking on my lips but I HIGHLY appreciate them letting me know I can. When looking through my stash for Halloween tutorials & dramatic looks it was hard to find a liner that was super dramatic yet still lip safe.  This is a full size & retails for $20 so it nearly paid for the $21 box itself. This is creamy & blendable but doesn’t blend away. Looks nice on my eyes!

INCOCO Nail Polish Applique Strips in Sinderella: I love nail strips & these are a welcomed addition to my stash. These are meant to be used on bare nails & contain both a base & top coat. This is kind of a cranberry red looking shade but nice & bright. I might bring these with me on vacation!

Kryolan for Glossybox Blusher in Gloss Rosewood: I know I read & saw some complaints about this blush but I personally like it. It is supposed to apply lightly & indeed it does. It looks healthy & it is easy to apply. It says cream powder formulation but I’m really not feeling that.

Nume Style Arganics by NuMe Argan Oil: This really doesn’t feel or smell like argan oil, great for those looking for an oil without the strong smell or the oil feel. This feels almost sticky or stringy at first which had me super hesitant to put it on my hair. It smells like a shampoo kind of? Not that strong Argan scent I was expecting at all. Once applied, it soaked into my hair, nothing stick about it.

Skin & Co Roma Truffle Serum: This is a Hydro-Toning Daytime Face Serum which is meant to “slow down the signs of aging” & contains lots of good-for-your-skin ingredients. This is clear & sinks in. It is like a gel but definitely soaks in to the point where I can’t even see I have applied it. I definitely detect a scent…but sadly being sick I can’t tell you what that scent is. Sorry 🙁

Here are swatches of the Illamasqua Lip & Eye Pencil & the Kryolan  for Glossybox Blusher in Glossy Rosewood.

Photobucket

Overall, I liked this box. This didn’t blow my mind but these are products I was happy to try. The blush is a nice size, I think it is an easy shade to wear too. Perfect for travel. I really like the Illamasqua Lip & Eye pencil too. Nail Polish Strips always make me happy!

To get your own GLOSSYBOX, check out their website! You can also earn GlossyDots which go towards a free box. If you have any questions, just let me know! You can also search for GLOSSYBOX in the top left of my blog to see what past boxes have contained. What do you think?

**This box was provided in hopes of review. I also buy my own each month. All opinions are my own. This is not sponsored. Affiliate links have been used.

Wet n Wild Shimmer the Night Away 8 Pan Eyeshadow Palette Review, Swatches, + Eye Look!

December 7, 2012 By StephanieLouise 623Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fwet-n-wild-shimmer-night-away-8-pan.htmlWet+n+Wild+Shimmer+the+Night+Away+8+Pan+Eyeshadow+Palette+Review%2C+Swatches%2C+%2B+Eye+Look%212012-12-07+00%3A47%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fwet-n-wild-shimmer-the-night-away-8-pan-eyeshadow-palette-review-swatches-eye-look.html

Photobucket

So Tuesday I reviewed the Wet n Wild Sparkle ‘Til Morning 8 Pan Eyeshadow Palette & did a tutorial.I liked the flow so I thought I’d do the same with the Shimmer the Night Away Palette. I did all of these swatches without primer.

I did film wearing this eye look so you can see my monthly favorites video with it below!

Photobucket

Left Side Swatches are from top to bottom in the palette: shimmery icy white, metallic medium silver, dark grey with silver shimmer, & matte black with silver glitter. All of these are lovely & apply nicely to the eye.

Photobucket

Right Side Swatches are from top to bottom in the palette: pink based lavender with golden shimmer, fuchsia with a purple/blue sheen, medium purple with silver shimmer, & a bright blue shimmer. The pigmentation on this side was just okay swatched but it looked much better on the eye!

Photobucket

On my eyes is the right side of the Shimmer the Night Away Palette. Blush is Heather Silk & lipstick is Within These Adobe Walls Mega Shield which are both from Wet n Wild. I love this bright look! I also where Within These Adobe Walls so often. Love it. I really liked this palette but I feel like the pigmentation wasn’t as good as Sparkle ‘Till Morning.

What do you think of this palette? I like both sides quite a lot. I’ll also have a look coming up that was requested using the left side of the Sparkle ‘Till Morning Palette which I reviewed & such a few days ago. I love when you guys request things, it lets me know what you want to see!

Nails: Revlon Ruby Ribbons Swatches + Review

December 6, 2012 By StephanieLouise 624Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fnails-revlon-ruby-ribbons-swatches.htmlNails%3A+Revlon+Ruby+Ribbons+Swatches+%2B+Review2012-12-06+21%3A42%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fnails-revlon-ruby-ribbons-swatches-review.html

Photobucket

This is my hands down favorite of the 3 I have shown you today. Ruby Ribbons looks so incredible in person that I could take hundreds of pictures & it STILL wouldn’t look quite as cool. I heart this SO much. Bar glitter, holo, sparkle, opacity. The density is amazing & so is the shade combination. I’ve NEVER seen Revlon come out with something at this level.

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket

Revlon Ruby Ribbons: Red extremely fine micro glitter, purple bar glitter (or wispies as I call them for being so long & thin), & holo bar glitter packed into a clear base.

This has an indie feel to it & I’m totally digging it. How gorgeous is this right? It looks like fire on my nails, a mix of Christmas lights, fireworks, & a bundle of glitter so fabulous. I am in love. I put the layer of black base down on my ring finger after trying Brilliant Bordeaux because that was so thin. Seriously… can you even tell other than at the edges? It is that opaque!

I used 2 coats on my ring finger & 3 on the rest for full opacity. This covers nicely, it just layers perfectly to cover up any bald spots. The downside to this polish is the clean up… Because this is made of micro glitters (much like my beloved Sally Hansen Lava) the cleanup is kind of irritating. For some polishes, this might nearly be a dealbreaker… But Ruby Ribbons kills it so I’ll deal.

Love? Is this your favorite of the 3 or did you prefer Brilliant Bordeaux or Midnight Sparkle?
