Nails By Laura (Joyful Noise) Winter Nail Polish Swatches& Review Part #1

December 18, 2012 By StephanieLouise 605Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fnails-by-laura-joyful-noise-winter-nail.htmlNails+By+Laura+%28Joyful+Noise%29+Winter+Nail+Polish+Swatches%26+Review+Part+%2312012-12-18+14%3A37%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fnails-by-laura-joyful-noise-winter-nail-polish-swatches-review-part-1.html

PhotobucketI’m SO excited to be bringing you this post today! Yes, these polishes are glorious. But another reason is the technical difficulties I’ve been experiencing lately have been ridiculous. One thing after another. I’m hoping everything is back in good working order! Now…let’s see these swatches! They’re bound to put you in the holiday spirit! Laura just makes the most gorgeous combos!

Let’s address the name change first shall we? Indeed! Nails by Laura will now be known as Joyful Noise Cosmetics! From now on, I’ll be reviewing & referring to items by this new name but I wanted to explain a bit before anyone got confused! If you haven’t seen my swatches from Laura of Joyful Noise just type “Nails by Laura” into the search bar at the top left of my blog! I’ll be tagging them as Joyful Noise later on so you will be able to search that way in the future.

What Laura said about her exciting name change:
What does this mean for you? Absolutely nothing! It’s no secret that I’ve felt limited by the name I chose when I first started almost 2 years ago, and feared I had established myself too well with that name to change it.

Then I realized… How can I be TOO established? You guys have been AWESOME, and I know you’ll stick with me through this transition! Only good things are to come!

I’m super excited! I know lots of bloggers who chose names specific to a topic then felt limited to expand later. I say go for it, more is better! Today I’m going to be showing you the first 3 polishes of her winter/holiday collection…& they’re pretty spectacular! I did use top coat below but that is a personal preference!

Dreidel, Dreidel, Dreidel: A very light baby blue base with a super fine blue shimmer packed with glitter. Glitter hex shades are medium sized vibrant blue, light purple, blurple, less frequent green, small holo & silver hexes. Seen here is 2 thin coats over white.
I really like this shade, totally different from anything else I have & it feels nice & wintery. If you don’t mind a little bit of a VNL you could definitely wear this on its own but I wanted to pop it against white.

Snow Bulb Fight: A milky white base packed with a hidden red/orange microshimmer. The glitters in this include extra large red hexes, medium green, yellow, lavender, blue, & super light green hexes. The most abundant glitters are small hex glitters in the shades orange & purple. 2 coats over a white base.

If you love shades like China Glaze It’s A Trap-Eze! you’ll definitely adore this! The name definitely describes the glitters which is impossibly cute. I love the edition of yellow glitter (which I’m not usually a big fan of), lavender, & that super faint green. Definitly super original & looks gret. This is 2 thin coats just to show the milky base. You could also wear this on its own or only in one coat over white. I love the large red hexes as well, they really draw the eye.

Nargles in the Mistletoe: A clear/light green base jam packed with glitter. Medium red & green hex & square glitter with very small light blue, red, green, & silver hexes. Seen here over ButterLONDON Pillar Box Red.

For those of you not geek-tastic like myself, this is an awesome Harry Potter reference! Although this is tons of glitter, this applied wonderfully smooth. I didn’t want to take this off. Not one bit. In fact, after this mani comes off…I’m rocking this combo again. You guys are lucky you got anymore swatches out of me after this. This was GLORIOUS. I’ve never had a combo of red/green that contained a super light blue. That addition is brilliant & causes this glitter to move to the top of my must-have list. It positively glows with holiday cheer. This is one medium coat. Love. Seriously.
Photobucket

There you have it, part one! Next you will see an awesome warm glitter, golden stars, & the polish I refused to take off that will bling in the new year! I think you’ll be impressed.

To purchase these polishes, head over to Joyful Noise Cosmetics on Etsy & remember to LIKE it on facebook to stay up to date on awesome deals, steals, & giveaways! I hope this has brought a bit of holiday cheer to your day!

5 Days of OCC Lip Tars: Vintage Review + Swatches

December 17, 2012 By StephanieLouise 606Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2F5-days-of-occ-lip-tars-vintage-review.html5+Days+of+OCC+Lip+Tars%3A+Vintage+Review+%2B+Swatches2012-12-17+21%3A52%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2F5-days-of-occ-lip-tars-vintage-review-swatches.html

Photobucket

I’m super excited about this week for 5 Days of! I currently own 5 Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC) Lip Tars so they fit in perfectly! Today I’m showing you Vintage, a sexpot red. Keep reading to see swatches, on my lips, & my thoughts!

Photobucket

How to Apply: I can’t imagine using anything other than a lip brush. Because you only need a pintpoint amount, you need something with lots of control. Even for the lip stain type look I recommend a brush for even distribution. This is one of the few lip colors I trust to apply in the corners without a lipliner because it doesn’t smudge around or travel. I first line my lip with the color then pull it to the center. The opposite works just as well.

Photobucket

Top is the small dot needed to swatch. Bottom is the swatch. Color was then applied to lips.
Photobucket

After pressing a small amount onto lips to “stain” them.

Photobucket

After 1-2 thin layers it is easily opaque.

Color & Wear: This is a deep red in the tube, almost scary. Once applied, it is much more wearable with a brightness not seen in the tube at all. OCC describes Vintage as a “Deep true burgandy” & although that is true, there is definitely some fire here.

Photobucket

The wear on this is superb. I have worn it both as a light “stain” & to full opacity. This is one of the few red shades I feel comfortable wearing while eating dinner in public after it sets up a bit. If your lips are dry, I recommend exfoliating then applying a balm. Let that sink into your lips & then blot it off. Apply your OCC Lip Tar a tiny bit at a time. Less is more & it is ultra-buildable. Perfect party lip.

Purchase: I bought mine from Sephora in a set but this shade is available on its own. OCC Lip Tars retail for $16.00 each. You can also purchase them from the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics website directly.

P&G Art of Shaving Deals & Steals!

December 17, 2012 By StephanieLouise 607Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fp-art-of-shaving-deals-steals.htmlP%26G+Art+of+Shaving+Deals+%26+Steals%212012-12-17+20%3A04%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fpg-art-of-shaving-deals-steals.html

Good morning! Today I have a collection of deals from Art of Shaving to share with you! When it comes to shopping for men I pretty much lose it. I feel like there is always one more makeup product, nail polish, purses, pair of heels…oh you get it? There’s always one more thing that someone can gift me. Why is this? Because I am not a man.

Photobucket
Seriously, my dad & husband just buy what they want when they want it. Video game? Bought it. Clothes? They either think they don’t need more or they’ve bought what they want. Food? Okay you can buy them food but I feed my husband nightly so that isn’t special. The trick to holiday shopping for someone like this is to buy them something outside the box. Although they might not think to buy themselves a nice shaving set, they’ll definitely like it!

I recommend a full size shaving kit for a nice gift! The Art of Shaving have many to choose from including options in the scents lemon, lavender, sandalwood, & the oh-so-giftable unscented. Unscented is just the easiest to go with for me…I’m so picky abotu scents that I assume everyone else is too!

Free Ground shipping and $15 off your purchase of any The Art of Shaving Full Size Kit, until 12/30/12 with Promo Code: 15offFSK at checkout

This Kit Comes with:
The 4 Elements of The Perfect Shave® combine The Art of Shaving’s high quality products, handcrafted accessories and expert shaving technique to provide optimal shaving results while helping against ingrown hairs, razor burn, and nicks & cuts. The Full Size Kit offers Pre-Shave Oil (2 fl. oz), Shaving Cream (5.0 oz), After-Shave Balm (4 fl. oz), and a Pure Badger Black Shaving Brush.

I love that there is no guess with this kit, you have everything you could possibly need for the perfect shave! This kit looks nice but not too frilly or fussy. My husband never takes that kind of stuff seriously.

Clarisonic MIA 2 One Month Check In + My Skin Now!

December 17, 2012 By StephanieLouise 6081 Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fclarisonic-mia-2-one-month-check-in-my.htmlClarisonic+MIA+2+One+Month+Check+In+%2B+My+Skin+Now%212012-12-17+15%3A15%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fclarisonic-mia-2-one-month-check-in-my-skin-now.html

Photobucket

Good morning! Today I have my one month check in with my Clarisonic MIA 2 & a look at my skin now! I’ve really loved using it every morning & evening & definitely see a difference. If you missed my prior Clarisonic posts, check out my Clarisonic MIA 2 First Impressions & my Clarisonic MIA 2  2 Week Check-In!

Here’s the photo with my 2 week check-in breakout & my skin this morning! BIG difference! I’d also like to note that I’m sick right now & normally my skin would be freaking out big time…& it isn’t! Seriously, check out how pale my lips are…not well.

Photobucket

I feel like my skin is cleaner now & that all the makeup residue is finally gone. When you wear heavy duty foundation, concealer, & cream products…you’ll know what I’m talking about. After getting through my breakout faze I definitely noticed my skin feeling softer, smoother, & more even. I’m also having a lot less breakouts, even my hormonal ones aren’t as bad. I still have a few issues ere & there but definitely not as bad as before. I love the exfoliation that the Clarisonic MIA 2 does, it really helps with my dry patches on my cheeks. Then I use a bit of toner & treat any necessary areas. Moisturizer is something I talk about a lot on my skincare blogs so obviously that is a must-have.

Photobucket

So, was the price worth it? Yes! I definitely feel the difference in my skin & I feel like it is definitely cleaner on a daily basis. I’m hooked! Do you have a Clarisonic? Is it on your holiday wishlist?

Birchbox for December 2012 featuring Model Co

December 16, 2012 By StephanieLouise 609Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fbirchbox-for-december-2012-featuring.htmlBirchbox+for+December+2012+featuring+Model+Co2012-12-16+20%3A28%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Fbirchbox-for-december-2012-featuring-model-co.html

This is my December Birchbox! I received a product that I actually got in my Beauty Box 5 box last month which is the Model Co gloss. Everything else is new to me though!Just click on the photos below to enlarge them!
Photobucket

Photobucket
Photobucket

This box was just okay. I’m not unhappy but I’m also not blown away.I was really excited to get the Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Repair CC Cream because apparently I’m a big time BB Cream fan. I’m been wearing this today & it has a nice finish. I don’t have enough to do a full review though, sorry. The Keratase Thermique packets aren’t getting used anytime soon…I just have loads of haircare to get through. This lipgloss isn’t my favorite but it is a pretty shade, a sheer berry. I am counting the lotion packet with the lotion sample. This is a good sized sample but the lotion is just okay. The scent just isn’t for me. I don’t usually go for energizing scents, more sultry or floral.
I just want to say that I consider the InStyle card a throwaway. I’m not into Rent the Runway type services. I’d rather just buy something I can keep. I don’t feel like it adds any value to the box either.
So that’s what I got! Not awful, not great. I count this box as being $5 & with the full sized gloss & decent size of the lotion I’m pleased. Why do I consider a $10 to be only $5? Because for every product you get in your & review, you get points. 10 per product. Then you can use them to purchase items in their store which I really like! They often have exclusive colors or products.
What do you think of this Birchbox? Are you subscribed? Any other boxes you like?
**I purchase Birchbox with my own funds. Affiliate links have been used. All opinions are my own.

5 Days of Revlon Lip Products: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains Review & Swatches

December 14, 2012 By StephanieLouise 610Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2F5-days-of-revlon-lip-products-revlon.html5+Days+of+Revlon+Lip+Products%3A+Revlon+Just+Bitten+Kissable+Balm+Stains+Review+%26+Swatches2012-12-14+17%3A44%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2F5-days-of-revlon-lip-products-revlon-just-bitten-kissable-balm-stains-review-swatches.html

Photobucket

This week was really fun, I loved showing off my Revlon lippies! Today is day 5 & to go out with a bang I’m reviewing the much requested Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. Can we just start with the name? Wouldn’t the alphabet have just been shorter? Seriously…it would have been. If you are new to stains though, you might not remember back to the original Revlon Just Bitten stains which were an actual liquid stain much like Benefit. I personally liked those & still own quite a few. This is their way of making a stain easier to wear, apply, & they definitely took some inspiration from Clinique & Tarte.

Left to right: Precious, Sweetheart, Adore, Smitten, Romantic, & Rendezvous.

Photobucket
Sunlight

Photobucket
Shade

Photobucket
After wiping off the swatches. I let them set for about 15 minutes. Here are the stains.

The Shades I Own Are:

Precious- A soft cool toned nude.

Sweetheart- Hot cool based pink.

Adore- The only shade that I feel doesn’t match the packaging color. This looks like a mix of berry & brown, not the berry red I thought it was going to be. This is the only shade I really note shimmer in but it doesn’t translate onto the lips.

Smitten- Bright purple toned fuchsia.

Romantic- This is a deeper red that leans a bit warm. The least opaque.

Rendezvous- Bright tangerine orange.

Photobucket

Packaging:
These are a jumbo lipstick form with 0.095 oz of product. This works as a retractable lipstick allowing you to turn up more product from the base & then roll it back down. It starts out as a pointed crayon shape. The packaging it all plastic & represents the shade inside which is great when I just want to grab a shade without sifting through labels. They include a matching plastic lid & I’ve had no issues with those coming undone even on the go. The very base is a silver plastic which is where you twist up from. On the very bottom is a coordinating colored sticker with  the shade name on it. These are very lightweight but durable.

Photobucket

Product:
I find these to be very easy to apply & wear throughtout the day & night. They don’t tug at my lips & leave them a bit moisturized in the beginning. The scent is very minty & I actually like that quite a bit. You might need a couple of swipes for full opacity but all of them can be built up to pretty opaque. These aren’t thick or gel like at all so they don’t feel like you’re wearing a heavy lip product.

None of the shades contain shimmer but they do leave your lips with a slightly glossy look on the lips which does fade with wear. At about the 2 hour mark, it is completely gone & these have set onto the lips. I don’t find them to last much longer than 4 hours but the tint does! These leave behind a pretty decent tint & I often find it lasts all day & into the night when I remove my makeup at the end of the day. I use these shades quite frequently & have barely made a dent to I anticipate them lasting quite a long time. One downside is the color selection needs some improvement, I’d like to see a range like the Revlon Lip Butters.

How I Wear Them:
I usually wear them at full opacity & apply like I would a lip liner or average jumbo lipstick pencil.Because these leave behind a pretty rich tint, be very careful about application. This isn’t a lip product I choose to apply without a mirror because of that. Another way to wear them is to apply as a stain by applying it lightly to your fingertip then lightly pressing it into your lips. I really like this application for Adore which gives that berry type stain. If I find they have set & my lips are a bit dry, you can apply gloss on top. I don’t recommend applying these over another product as it will mess with the staining process.

Dupes?:
These aren’t direct dupes of the Clinque Chubby Sticks or Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tints. If you are looking for a Clinque Chubby Stick dupe, these are a significantly more pigmented & less glossy than the ones I own & have tried. I feel like the new Covergirl option (very similar to all of these visually) is more like them. They appear more glossy & less like a lipstick itself. I haven’t tried those personally (yet!) but from what I’ve seen, definitely more comparable. I do, however, find these similar to the Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tints with their minty scent & color selection. I love my Tarte pencils but I feel like you have more bright options with the Revlon pencils. However, as far as wearable everyday type shades, I feel like Tarte has that market better covered. One interesting thing is that I feel that the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains actually tint my lips better.

Things to Note:
-Easy to use
-Stains lips for all day color
-Fades into the tint within 4-5 hours
– Not an overly wide color selection
– Lightweight but durable packaging
– Can be applied as opaque or light as you like
– Available at drugstores for around $8- $10. I recommend waiting for a sale so you can buy them B1G1 50% or with extra cash back. They are expensive at first but I think they last quite a long time.

There you have it! I really like these & find myself reaching for them quite often, especially when I’m not in the mood for lipstick. The shades I find myself reaching for most are Precious, Sweetheart, & Smitten. The shades I find most original are Rendezvous & Smitten.

& that ends my 5 Days of Revlon Lip Products! I’m going to continue to do my 5 Days of series & next week will be 5 Days of OCC Lip Tars! Which Revlon lip products are your favorites? Any particular shades I should get my hands on?

5 Days of Revlon Lip Products: Red & Neutral Lip Butters

December 13, 2012 By StephanieLouise 611Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2F5-days-of-revlon-lip-products-red.html5+Days+of+Revlon+Lip+Products%3A+Red+%26+Neutral+Lip+Butters2012-12-13+22%3A01%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2F5-days-of-revlon-lip-products-red-neutral-lip-butters.html

Photobucket

Wowie, the things I have had to do to get this post up & running! Sheesh! I definitely wanted to make sure to have this all ready for you guys to round out the end of my Lip Butters posts! To see the pink shades click here & the purples/orange shades here! To read my thoughts on the performance, texture, packaging, etc. read my first post here! Now onto the reds & nudes!

Photobucket
Photobucket

I find that these 2 shade famalies are some of the best lip butters. If you find nudes hard to wear, these are really easy to work with. Scared to rock a fierce red lip? Lip Bitters are moisturizing while still wearing really nicely so they are a great starting point. I find nudes kind of hard for everyone, it is so easy to go so wrong. Oddly enough, all 3 of the brown based shades I’ve picked up actually look great!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Red swatches:

Cherry Tart- This is my only red with shimmers in it & I love it! They don’t really translate onto the lip but you can see it in the tube shot above. This is a pop of a pinkish red. Love the “I’ve been eating strawberries” look it gives. Looks great in one layer or built up too!

Candy Apple- This name is perfect, a bright candy apple red! This pulls a bit orange on me but for a bright red lip that isn’t vampy it is perfect. This one can be built up as well.

Red Velvet- The darkest of the 3 but I haven’t heard one complaint about it! this is a sultry darker red & it is an effortlessly deeper lip. Love building this up to be opaque!

Photobucket
Photobucket

Neutral swatches:

Brown Sugar- This is exactly what I think of when I think of a nude. This is packed with shimmer but it translates to look moisturized instead, not frosted. I find this to be a great shade when I want a bit more than Creme Brulee but I still want to stay neutral. Can be built up to be opaque.

Fig Jam- This is a newer lip butter to my collection. This almost looks like a slightly berry nude. This reminds me of a clear jelly! This is a bit more brown toned than the others so I tend to wear it a bit more sheer.

Creme Brulee- This is the last of my throw it in my purse shade! A super easy to wear neutral, even on my fair skin. I describe this as a blended milk + caramel shade. It has kind of a hidden shimmer in there which doesn’t translate onto the lip. Effortlessly awesome shade for me.

Overall:
I love my Revlon Lip Butters don’t I? The reds are absolutely necessary to my collection, they make wearing reds so much easier when I’m out on the go. Creme Brulee is definitely my favorite of the nudes, looks perfect with pretty much any look. But during winter, Red Velvet reigns supreme. It has been in my bag quite a lot to give me a punch of color that is seasonal but not a lot of work.

Remember to refer back to my original post for the basic review including packaging, texture, wear, etc.

& that rounds it up! I hope you guys enjoyed seeing all of my Lip Butters swatched! Tomorrow is the most highly anticipated post…My review of the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains! Stay tuned, I have a lot to say on the matter!

Which Revlon Lip Butter shades were your favorite? Any that I don’t own but should look into?

Lips: Carmex Pomegranate & Carmex Everyday Lip Conditioner Review!

December 13, 2012 By StephanieLouise 612Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Flips-carmex-pomegranate-carmex-everyday.htmlLips%3A+Carmex+Pomegranate+%26+Carmex+Everyday+Lip+Conditioner+Review%212012-12-13+21%3A14%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F12%2Flips-carmex-pomegranate-carmex-everyday-lip-conditioner-review.html

Photobucket

Man…it is totally one of THOSE days! Hubby got a new internet router awhile back (even though there was nothing wrong with our other one) & said it would be a lot faster (I’ve noticed 0 difference). I’ve literally had in & out internet all morning which is totally killing me. I woke up early even…so much for that. It has thrown off my posts a bit so expect to see my Revlon Lipbutter wrap up (reds & neutrals!) later on & really awesome stuff coming up this evening! Stay tuned!

Photobucket
So now that all of that is out of the way, let’s talk about these new Carmex lippies I’ve been using! I got these awhile back but have been so swamped with work I’m just now getting to cover them! I have two varieties today, Carmex in Pomegranate & Carmex Everyday Lip Conditioner.

The Carmex Pomegranate lip balm is perfect for the winter season. This balm has an SPF of 15 but the best part is that it is water resistant! It says on the tube that it lasts for 80 minutes which is awesome! Rain, snow, water sports (Oh you get to winter in Jamaica? How nice!) this is a must-have. This has your standby classic Carmex scent mixed with Pomegranate which I find to be quite pleasant! I’m surprised it isn’t marked as medical because it really helps to help my chapped lips!

The Carmex Everyday Lip Conditioner comes in a handy squeeze tube, one of my favorite forms of balm. I’m pretty much in love, this smells/tastes like an orange dreamsicle! The texture is so different, unlike anything else I’ve tried. It feels almost like a primer you would use on your face but creamier. It blends right into your lips & they feel wonderfully soft & hydrated!

So there you have it! I didn’t grow up using lots of Carmex items but maybe I need to start! What do you think? Have you tried any of the new Carmex items?

I had been getting some questions about if I was reviewing these & now I have them for you guys! I’m super excited about these because they are just the best stocking stuffers ever! These would be great as a name tag on a gift too! Perfect & really nice looking! I adore the Softlips brand in general but holiday scented lippies have a special place in my heart.
From sugar cookies to peppermint to sugar plum…tis the season for Softlips! These all have an awesome & appreciated SPF 20 except the bonus Pearl which is SPF 15. You can snag these adorable packs for under $5 & give them to pretty much anyone!

The duo packs are available in the following varieties:

Softlips Vanilla with bonus Sugar & Spice: I adore the classic vanilla scent & Sugar & Spice is definitely different from any other balm I’ve ever tried! This definitely smells like a mix of holiday spices baking in something fabulous! I highly recommend it if you’re into holiday scents! This is one of the duos that comes with the handy Holiday Gift Tag option.

Softlips Raspberry with bonus Sugar Cookie: This is another one of the Holiday Gift Tag Pack. The raspberry smells like a tart raspberry green tea & the sugar cookie smells like… sugar cookies of course! I’m pretty obsessed with the sugar cookie scent!

Softlips Raspberry with bonus Sugar Plum Berry: This is probably one of my favorite duos! I scoop up as many plum themed items as I can & this is a welcomed addition! LOVE THEM! This is one of the Holiday Gift Tag Pack too. The raspberry smells like a tart raspberry green tea & the plum is a nice mellow with a dark note of berry.

Softlips Vanilla with bonus Winter Mint: I adore the classic combo of the vanilla & winter mint! This is one of the Holiday Gift Tag Packs. I love the vanilla, perfect for year round, the winter mint smells great & slightly sweet.

Softlips Peppermint Stick with bonus Pearl Tinted Lip Conditioner: This is their classic candy cane flavor & comes in a cute striped tube. You can find it at select target stores in the checkout lane. Love this festive limited edition find! This comes paired with the only tinted balm which is a super light pink named Pearl. Lovely!

Softlips Jack Frosting Duo Pack: I was SUPER excited to try this duo since this was the fan pick! The Softlips Facebook fans actually selected it & you can find this in the cough & cold aisle at Target stores nationwide. This smells just like buttercream frosting….obsessed! I see why the fans picked it!

So there you have it! Lots to choose from right? I think Softlips did a great job, definitely something for everyone! What scents/flavors appeal to you most/ Are you digging the cute git tag packaging?

Left to right we have:

Creamsicle- The palest creamiest orange in my collection! This is definitely a spot on name & almost looks like a nude on but with a bit of a pop. It is still subtle enough to be worn year round.

Tutti Frutti- This is the perfect orange! Because it isn’t a matte or a lipstick really this feels & looks way more wearable. I’m so glad this didn’t contain shimmer because I think that would have been too much but the brightness is perfect for spring & summer! This is the easiest orange for me to wear ever!

Gumdrop- I think this is one of the scariest looking shades in the whole collection. This is a super light lavender. Sounds weird right? This isn’t one of the shades that can be built up to be opaque but it more tints your lips. I love it because I have a purple addiction & this is way more wearable than say, bright purple.

Raspberry Pie- I don’t know where to start other than I absolutely adore this shade! It is a bright fuschia/plum & can be built up in a few swipes to be opaque! I have multiple tubes of this for my purses, desk, & in my collection. This is just the perfect all the time color. I wear it with done up eyes, neutrals, just mascara, everything. I love it.

Sugar Plum- This is a newer shade to my collection. I think this looks a bit like berry juice, like when it naturally tints your lips again? This is a super wearable plum & goes on quit a bit more sheer. It looks a bit like a jelly texture & doesn’t build up to be dark or super opaque. This is a super easy way to rock berry lips

Overall:
Raspberry Pie is one of my favorite shades ever & as far as non-neutrals go it is definitely my most worn shade. The brightness, coverage, & overall ease of wear of this shade earns top notches from me! Although Creamsicle & Tutti Frutti are some of my least worn shades, I also love them. They were so amazing for summer & gave me the fun of a bright lip but with the ease of a lip balm. Tutti Frutti is especially fun!. I have a deep love for purple shades in general so I will probably be on the lookout to try more!

Remember to refer back to my original post for the basic review including packaging, texture, wear, etc.

These are definitely some of the most fun shades right? Stay tuned for the rest of the shades tomorrow! Friday you’ll be seeing my Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains…highly requested!
