Stephanie Louise Telford & her guide on beauty, style, & glitter!

OFRA 3D Loose Shadow in Diamond Glitz + My December 2012 BB5 Box

January 8, 2013 By StephanieLouise 575Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F01%2Fofra-3d-loose-shadow-in-diamond-glitz.htmlOFRA+3D+Loose+Shadow+in+Diamond+Glitz+%2B+My+December+2012+BB5+Box2013-01-08+00%3A04%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F01%2Fofra-3d-loose-shadow-in-diamond-glitz-my-december-2012-bb5-box.html

Photobucket

So for some reason I got my Beauty Box 5 Box really late this month & because it is decently into January I decided to combine it with an eyeshadow look in case you have seen lots of these. Trying to keep things entertaining! This box was ah-ma-zing & absolutely worth the wait!

Photobucket

What I got in my December 2012 Beauty Box 5 Box:

Photobucket

Jean Pierre Cosmetics Exfoliating Facial Cleansing Pads (Full Size): These are $1.99 for 16 pads which is a great deal. I haven’t used these yet but they look like they will be great for travel!

Photobucket
Photobucket

Everyday Minerals Flat Top Kabuki Brush (Full Size): Absolutely amazing. I love Everyday Minerals & I never get tired of them popping up in my BB5 boxes. This brush retails for $12.99 & is worth every penny! I used it to apply my Maybelline Dream Lumi Foundation here & amazing coverage! It isn’t too dense or too much like a stippling brush…this is the perfect in between!

Photobucket

MaskerAide Hydrating Facial Sheet Mask (Full Size): At $4.99 this is a reasonably priced one-time mask & has about the cutest packaging ever. With the beer can curls (yes!) to the pink boa…this image is full of awesome! I like that this is called “Party Prep” which can be used before going out. I haven’t seen anything like that specifically!

Photobucket

OFRA Cosmetics 3D Eyeshadow in Diamond Glitz (Full Size): Whaaat! Hello gorgeous! First of all, 4 grams of products…that’s a lot! For $19.90 I’m willing to dish out the cash. For reference, Bare Minerals loose shadows contain .57 grams of product. Now this color is absolutely gorgeous & is a brown/green duochrome. Love. This is one of my favorite combos ever & pictures really can’t do it justice. Perfection.

Photobucket

Demeter Roll On Perfume Oil in Cherry Blossom (Full Size): Let me just say I would have never ever even picked this shade up. I very rarely go for Asian scents they just don’t appeal to me. I would have been missing out! This has the cleanest, juciest scent & although it is definitely a delicate floral the fruit shines through on my body chemistry & smells amazing! Um, I now need a full size. This rollerball is only $10.00 & I can see it lasting a very long time!

Photobucket
Photobucket

So for this eyeshadow look I used Too Faced Show Insurance, Covergirl Lashblast 24 Hour in Black, Jordana FabuLiner in Black, Milani Liquid Eye Pencil in Black, & of course OFRA Cosmetics 3D Eyeshadow in Diamond Glitz.Swoon swoon swoon!

Beauty Box 5 is a monthly beauty subscription service & man did it impress me! Check it out & snag your own! I can’t get over this eyeshadow, seriously, swoon.

**BB5 sends me their subscription monthly in hope of review. This in no way guarantees a review or a positive opinion. Affiliate links have been used.

NEW Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid Lipsticks Swatches & Review (Last 3 shades!)

So if you saw my first post then you knew to expect me to pick up the last 3 shades in the Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid line. I’m obsessed with “pop of color” lips (especially for spring & summer) so it isn’t a suprise I ended up buying all 10 shades to have the variety & pigmentation with the drugstore price tag! & without further babble…here are the last 3 shades! Nails: Revlon Heavenly Over Pure Ice Party Hard

January 7, 2013 By StephanieLouise 577Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F01%2Fnails-revlon-heavenly-over-pure-ice.htmlNails%3A+Revlon+Heavenly+Over+Pure+Ice+Party+Hard2013-01-07+15%3A32%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F01%2Fnails-revlon-heavenly-over-pure-ice-party-hard.html

Photobucket

So if I haven’t talked up Revlon enough on this blog then they come out with the most gorgeously affordable glitter ever. When I think of square glitter, I always refer back to my indie glitters. Square glitters at the drugstore? It was a dream. When I got word this was coming out…snapped it up quick along with Girly which I’ll swatch later on!

Photobucket
Photobucket
Revlon Heavenly: Medium iridescent hex & square glitter in a clear base. The squares lean pink/blue/teal/green while the hexes lean pink/orange/yellow. 2 coats. One coat of Out the Door topcoat.

I think you can see why I applied it over a dark base…go bold or go home! Obviously this is lovely over softer shades & I think it gives a really neat touch to your average nude manicure on an accent finger. Application is pretty good & coverage is nice for a glitter. Overall I’m really impressed! I highly recommend putting it over a deep navy like this one from  Pure Ice in Party Hard because the different colors really pop.

Photobucket

What do you think of Heavenly? Does Revlon have a hit? I found mine at Walgreens but by the numbering…I think this shade might become permanent so if you can’t find it cross you fingers!

NEW Fergie for Wet n Wild On Edge Waterproof Creme Liner First Impression Review & Swatches

January 6, 2013 By StephanieLouise 578Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F01%2Fnew-fergie-for-wet-n-wild-on-edge.htmlNEW+Fergie+for+Wet+n+Wild+On+Edge+Waterproof+Creme+Liner+First+Impression+Review+%26+Swatches2013-01-06+18%3A08%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F01%2Fnew-fergie-for-wet-n-wild-on-edge-waterproof-creme-liner-first-impression-review-swatches.html

Photobucket

Wet n Wild has come up with an all new line by Fergie including some eyeshadow palettes, a primer, lippies, & more. I picked up a couple of items & will be sharing them with you over the next few weeks. This creme liner definitely stood out to me the most though so I went right to work using it! I didn’t have a favorite gel/creme liner this year, nothing struck me enough. I think that has changed!

Photobucket
Photobucket
Photobucket

Let’s look at the packaging & the brush shall we? So you get 0.10 oz of product in a little glass jar. To compare, a MAC Fluidline contains the same amount of product.

Photobucket

This has a plastic lid that doesn’t feel as nice as the jar but not bad quality. It seems to close completely which is really important for cream products. I wanted to show you the base of the pot because this is something common with makeup, lots of excess glass which makes you think there is more product.

Photobucket

I had a bad experience with the brush. I’ve been watching & reading lots of reviews though & I guess I’m the only one. I was using the brush for the first time & really liking it. At the end of my makeup test I went to clean it as I would any brush…& when I looked down ALL the bristles were gone! They slide down in the brush handle! I shook them out & got the photo above. I wish this had worked for but I have to be able to clean a brush!

Photobucket

The product itself is nice! I did the swatches above left to right by doing a quick swatch, building up opacity then testing it by rubbing it with my finger pretty roughly. You can see a bit moved (I swiped up & down) but I think it was because it wasn’t completely dry. To the right is freshly swatched.

On the eye, this definitely stays. It moved on my waterline though but right now I have alergy eyes so i can’t really test the waterline as well. It faded a touch on my lashline by the end of the day though. Faded, didn’t travel or diasappear. I need to work with this some more obviously & hopefully when my eyes are back to normal I can do a waterline test.

Now some people are saying this seems the exact same as the Wet n Wild Mega Eyes Creme liner but I don’t agree. This seems blacker to me (I didn’t have a pot to compare right now!) & definitely more long wearing. I’m impressed with both liners, I think it is a matter of preference. I definitely prefer more long wearing & waterproof products so I love this new option!

Now obviously I haven’t this enough to know how the product will last overall in the pot. Creme products usually dry up before you have a chance to finish them unless they are uniquely great quality or you use them everyday. Only time will tell on that.

I picked up this liner at Walgreens & I’m guessing these are exclusive to Walgreens? I’m not sure. I recommend checking this out if you like long wearing makeup, black liner, & an afforadble price tag.

What do you guys think of the new Fergie for Wet n Wild line? How about this liner? I’d love to hear about if your brush was good quality as well because…mine was a sad story! I’ll probably get this in brown too so maybe that brush will be better!

Zoya Lovely Spring 2013 Collection Nail Polish Swatches & Review!

January 5, 2013 By StephanieLouise 579Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F01%2Fzoya-lovely-spring-2013-collection-nail.htmlZoya+Lovely+Spring+2013+Collection+Nail+Polish+Swatches+%26+Review%212013-01-05+15%3A00%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F01%2Fzoya-lovely-spring-2013-collection-nail-polish-swatches-review.html

Photobucket

For Spring 2013 Zoya has graced us with their Lovely Nail Polish Collection containing 6 new & very gorgeous nail polish shades! There isn’t one polish in this set that I feel doesn’t work with my skin tone…it is a spring miracle! Stay tuned for swatches, color rundowns, & my favorite shades!

Photobucket
This set contains 3 shimmering metallics & 3 luxurious creams.

Photobucket

Piaf: A soft shimmery metallic that is like a paled mustard yellow. It sounds gross, I know, but really it is lovely. I normally don’t do yellows & even less pastel yellows but this is so different & works so well with my fair skin! This has nice coverage, this is 3 thin coats.

Photobucket

Gie Gie: A soft cool shimmery metallic pink. This one had nice coverage & I applied 3 coats but I could have gotten away with 2. Lovely & so soft looking.

Photobucket

Julie: A soft shimmery metallic lavender. I love this shade so much…of course it is purple. This makes me think of those scenes in moves where girls in floral dresses dance through fields of lilacs…true story. 3 very thin coats.

Photobucket

Blu: A super light blue cream. This color honestly reminds me of adding a few drops of blue to a whole can of white paint & I love it. Gorg. This one was a bit streaky so I needs 3 thin, even coats.

Photobucket

Neely: A super pale green cream. This is definitely a springy green, it doesn’t lean blue or teal at all. 3 thin coats for perfect coverage.

Photobucket

Jacqueline: This is a super light creamy yellow toned nude with the faintest hint of sheen. This one applied a tad streaky & needed some coaxing to even out. 3 thin coats.

These are crazy gorgeous shades that have me lemming some springtime nail art & fresh air! Oh, & yes, there is still snow on the ground! I think these are essentially spring shades with either a beautiful creme formula or a really different shimmer. I am still shocked all of these shades work with my skin…are these my traveling pants for spring? I think so! My favorites from this collection are definitely although I definitely like them all!

These shades are available for $8 each from Zoya’s website.

What do you think of the Zoya Lovely collection? Do these shades whisper spring time bliss to you as well?

NEW Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Matte Lipsticks Review & Swatches Part 2

January 4, 2013 By StephanieLouise 580Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F01%2Fnew-rimmel-lasting-finish-by-kate-moss.htmlNEW+Rimmel+Lasting+Finish+by+Kate+Moss+Matte+Lipsticks+Review+%26+Swatches+Part+22013-01-04+21%3A52%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F01%2Fnew-rimmel-lasting-finish-by-kate-moss-matte-lipsticks-review-swatches-part-2.html

Photobucket

So I would like this time to say to you, I already love these. I reviewed the core shades in the black tubes & half of the new Kate Moss Matte Lipsticks for Rimmel. Although those were lovely, I finally found the other 5 & have given them a test drive. I know a lot of you also like these so I am excited to show you the richer half!

Photobucket

The first half of this new line had a whole lot of pinks. I love pink, really I do. However I wanted the shade she was wearing in the display (FYI it is shade # 107 I think but it looked a bit darker on the displays) & a bit more color. Got them. I really did. I won’t go over the packaging & such much because I covered all of that here but I did need to address something I somehow forgot in the 1st post. The scent of this line is very tropical tutti fruitti esque. If you don’t like scents, these might not be fore you. I don’t mind them & they actually smell quite nice to me but this has never been a concern for me.

Photobucket
Photobucket

102: A sweet medium true pink. Compared to the other pinks in this range this is pinker than 104, brighter than 101, & less rosy than 102.

105: A pink toned nude with a slight satin like sheen. If you like the Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Truffle, you’ll love this.

107: Super rich purple plum. This has great pigmentation, especially for a darker shade.

110: A hot red/orange coral shade. I love this & I think it makes me dream of summer. I can’t get this to look right except in the very first photo, sorry guys.

111 Kiss of Life: A warm medium red. So why the heck did this shade get a name when all the others are all pathetic & nameless? If someone knows…please enlighten me!

As always…I love this line. Fabulous, I urge you to check out past swatches & be prepared to see me wearing these…a lot. What do you think of this half? What shades would you like to see in this affordable matte drugstore line? You should be able to snag these shades at CVS & Walgreens. I think they have them other places but that is where I have spotted them here!

NEW Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliners in Black, Brown, & Sparkling Black Review & Swatches

January 4, 2013 By StephanieLouise 581Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F01%2Fnew-rimmel-scandal-eyes-waterproof-kohl.htmlNEW+Rimmel+Scandal+Eyes+Waterproof+Kohl+Kajal+Eyeliners+in+Black%2C+Brown%2C+%26+Sparkling+Black+Review+%26+Swatches2013-01-04+16%3A55%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F01%2Fnew-rimmel-scandal-eyes-waterproof-kohl-kajal-eyeliners-in-black-brown-sparkling-black-review-swatches.html

Photobucket

This may shock you guys (NOT!) but I find myself way impressed with Rimmel lately. I have been anticipating these new releases because I watch quite a few international youtubers & they tend to get things first! FleurDeForce, who is pretty much gorgeously amazing, has been recommending these handy liners & comparing them to NARS. I quickly jotted down their names & impatiently waiting…& now they’re here!

Photobucket

I found these on a display along with the eyeshadow jumbo sticks & snapped up all 3 available shades. Packaging wise these are pretty standard but I’m digging the clear caps that actually stay on. These have silver metallic writing on them so excuse the difficulty to photograph them! These will need to be sharpened.

Photobucket

Left to right Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliners in Black, Sparkling Black, & Brown

Guys I am SO impressed. First of all, let us talk about this black shade. So soft, so creamy so smudgeable, SO waterproof! This is also so black! I think this rivals some of my blackest blackest & I feel like maybe it is time to compare my blackest liners after this! Obviously when I think waterproof, I think waterline. & this actually works for me! I am so impressed! After about 4 hours it still looks nice & after 6 I could see wear. For me, that is wonderful & I do currently have allergy eyes so I’m excited to see how this works when my eyes are dryer! If I apply it to my eyes (not the waterline) it lasts all day.

Sparkling Black & Brown are both big hits for me as well! I personally don’t wear dark brown eyeliner because I feel like I prefer black but I do love a good medium brown shade! This is a gorgeous cool toned medium brown with some barely there bronze shimmer. I’ll have to see if this dupes any of my high end medium browns.

This Sparkling Black is a unique & lovely surprise. Normally, blacks with shimmer or glitter just look off to me. After I apply them I always think “That would look better just black.” While I still prefer black, this is a gorgeous shade of graphite PACKED with silver glitter.  want to call them flecks…but they are super fine but a tad larger. This is the first sparkling black where the glitter doesn’t irritate me, transfers well, &actually lasts! This has real pigment to me instead of just a skipping glitter liner. I think this will be amazing with a pretty smoky eye!

I felt the need to post about these ASAP because they’re new to the US Rimmel line & I honestly haven’t seen much coverage! Have you checked these out? What shades look good to you? Would you guys be interested in a post or video about my black eyeliner favs & fails?

Anticipating Sun: Coola Face SPF 30 Cucumber Mineral Sunscreen Review

January 4, 2013 By StephanieLouise 582Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F01%2Fanticipating-sun-coola-face-spf-30.htmlAnticipating+Sun%3A+Coola+Face+SPF+30+Cucumber+Mineral+Sunscreen+Review2013-01-04+00%3A38%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F01%2Fanticipating-sun-coola-face-spf-30-cucumber-mineral-sunscreen-review.html

Photobucket

So although there is still snow on the ground, I’m getting my beauty arsenal ready for spring & summer. I’m ready for the bright shades, poppin lips, & to gaze into the sunlight. Okay, I’m ready for sunlight period. In anticipation, I bring you a new must have moisturizer. Coola Face SPF 30 Cucumber Mineral Sunscreen is full of all kinds of awesome & definitely worth checking out!

Photobucket
From Coola:

Vitamin C rich organic Strawberry Extract soothes, tones and minimizes pores. Organic Acai Oil – high in Omegas-3/6/9, Vitamins B1/2/3 and Vitamins C and E – delivers powerful anti-aging benefits. Organic Evening Primrose and Linseed Oils reduce inflammation and balance moisture, as the phyto-protector Plankton Extract rejuvenates skin. Patented Oleosome Technology, derived from eco-certified organic Safflower and rich in moisturizing Vitamin E, enhances sun protection and helps time-release actives, resulting in 75% less actives! Crafted with 70% Certified Organic inactive ingredients.

  • Hypoallergenic
  • Paraben Free
  • Ultra Sheer
  • Anti-Aging
  • No nano-sized particles

When it comes to sunshine, I’m all about the SPF. I do fake tan (with lotion) during the spring & summer but naturally, I’m glow white. I am super fair indeed but I also have freckles. To avoid cancer which runs in my family & wrinkles I am a huge SPF fan. I only wish I had started earlier because man was I tan in high school in California! You could find me at the beach almost everyday for months.

Photobucket

I love that this is water resistant…really good sunscreens containing this detail always enthrall me. It is SO humid here so that is definitely a plus! gain with that theme…a matte finish! While I don’t recommend this for dry skinned gals, oily faces will rejoice. This comes in a pump tube as well which I really like although I do wish I could open it to get the bits & bobs in the bottom out. I made the mistake in the beginning of using a full pump…oh no. This goes a long way, just a 1/2 or even 1/3 of a pump will do & I bring it down my neck as well & in summer I’d pop it on my earlobes as well.

If you are looking for a chemical free, matte, organic, water resistant, SPF 30 sunscreen (who isn’t?!) then I highly suggest checking this out. I can’t wait to rock this during the spring time, I feel so prepared!

Forever Red Exclusively at Bath & Body Works Mini Review

January 3, 2013 By StephanieLouise 583Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F01%2Fforever-red-exclusively-at-bath-body.htmlForever+Red+Exclusively+at+Bath+%26+Body+Works+Mini+Review2013-01-03+16%3A20%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F01%2Fforever-red-exclusively-at-bath-body-works-mini-review.html

So before the season is over, I wanted to share with you my thoughts on the Forever Red fragrance from Bath & Body Works. I feel like this is a great fall/winter scent so I wanted to give it a shout out! I got this in my Cosmo Voxbox from Influenster & was pleasantly surprised.

Photobucket
Photo from my Instagram! Follow me StephanieLouiseATB

From Bath & Body Works: Bath & Body Works’ most luxurious longest lasting fragrance blends opulent notes of fiery red pomegranate and delicate peche de vigne, a rare and fleeting French peach. Soft petals of red osmanthus give way to notes of addictive velvety marshmallow and a surprising finale of rich vanilla rum that leaves an unforgettable impression.

I had actually passed this up in the store. Sometimes I get overwhelmed by scents in there & I don’t always get to smell everything. Forever Red has notes I love but it isn’t overwhelming at all. I absolutely love Twilight Woods BBW body mist & also the Midnight Pomegranate body mist. For fall & winter, I am totally obsessed with both of those. The notes in this almost combine those two & the blend is absolutely fabulous. I don’t think I’ve ever had a fragrance containing notes of marshmallow so it is definitely unique!

I think I need a full size! You can find this fragrance in Bath & Body Works stores & also on http://www.bathandbodyworks.com

**I received this item in hopes of review. I NEVER review items from Influenster that I don’t think you guys will like.

14 inch Pro Extensions 24/27 Full Head of Clip In Extensions Review

January 3, 2013 By StephanieLouise 584Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F01%2F14-inch-pro-extensions-2427-full-head.html14+inch+Pro+Extensions+24%2F27+Full+Head+of+Clip+In+Extensions+Review2013-01-03+03%3A16%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F01%2F14-inch-pro-extensions-2427-full-head-of-clip-in-extensions-review.html

Photobucket

So for the first time ever, I have a full head of extensions to tell you about today! I’m going to do a video eventually showing you how I apply my extensions but for now, I’m just going to review the extensions themselves. These are the 14 inch Pro Extensions 24/27 Full Head of Clip In Extensions.

Photobucket

If you aren’t familiar with clip in extensions, here are what the clips look like. They lay flat against your head when applied properly. I actually have pretty darn thick hair so I got these more for the blonde mix. My shade is quite darker currently, but I am a lot blonder in the summer. These give nice color definition to my hair & add a lot of hair. Unless I want just some cheapie color streaks, I always try to get human hair because being able to curl/straighten extensions into your hair makes all the difference.

In this set you get TONS of hair pieces & I rarely wear them all at once. I like adding in 2 of the larger sets in the back & then 2 on each side of my head if my hair is down. I CAN wear them all easily, I just choose not to. When I have my hair in an updo, I usually add them all to give myself tones of fullness.

Photobucket

What you receive in this set:
one (1) 8 inch wide weft with 3 clips
one (1) 7 inch wide weft with 3 clips each
two (2) 6 inch wide wefts with 3 clips each
six (6) 1 and 1/2 inch wide wefts with 1 clip each
two (2) 1 and 1/2 inch wide wefts (no clips) for testing/coloring

In case you can’t tell that’s a lot of hair! Because these are 100% human hair you can curl, wash, flat iron, & brush these without issue. These clips stay in well but I always tease at the base just to make sure. I am honestly not sure what to do with the wefts (the ones without clips) but maybe Ill use those & chalk or dye them then sew clips to them? I like the coloring on these quite a bit, they lean warm instead of too yellow or too red. It is a nice blend of shades.

You can get this whole head of human hair extensions for only $74.99 from Pro Extensions with FREE overnight shipping if you spend over $60…I’d say that is a pretty sweet deal. I wanted to really play with these but unfortunately I needed to get this review up so I didn’t have time to get the video tutorial up with the camera issues. Hold tight & I’ll have that up probably when I’m in California for IMATS 2013!

UPDATES: Use discount code “Stephanie” so you can get a 5% discount on your purchase!
