NEW St. Ives Revitalizing Pear & Soy Body Wash

March 14, 2013 By StephanieLouise 504Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Fnew-st-ives-revitalizing-pear-soy-body.htmlNEW+St.+Ives+Revitalizing+Pear+%26+Soy+Body+Wash2013-03-14+14%3A32%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Fnew-st-ives-revitalizing-pear-soy-body-wash.html

Let’s talk about body wash! I love body wash so much & it is just one of those strange things I find myself hoarding. Every season I pick up multiple new body washes, end up using maybe half the bottle, then switching to a new scent. I like going by seasons so right now I’m transitioning out of winter/musky scents & am so ready for some floral & fruity scents! I pretty much combine spring/summer because I love bright scents so much. So I had made a promise to myself that I would finally use up 3 body washes before buying some more. It was rough seeing all the new stuff coming out! Now that I have (yippee!) I went out & bought 3 new ones. Today I am excited to bring you my thoughts on the St. Ives Revitalizing Pear & Soy Body Wash!

First off, I love fruity scents & I just don’t see pear very often. Normally I am hoarding Philosophy scents (I’m so glad it is summer so I can bust out the watermelon one!) & drugstore options. I’m not a snob price wise, I’m all about the scent & how it makes my skin feel! This pear scent is divine & isn’t too heavy. It smells luxe & expensive to me while coming in a giant 1.5 pint bottle ( 24 fl oz ) that makes it quite affordable.

I first spotted this on  Nouveau Cheap’s review & knew it had to be mine. I wish I got more press releases & such of easy to find & seasonal body washes since they seem to be a bit far & few. I love seasonal products but only when I know about them! This smells like actual pears (that tartness & sweetness) not like chemically created ones. It isn’t a super feminine scent with perfumes & such added to it. Instead, it is pure pear. I would normally place pear scents in the fall/winter category but this is perfect for year round use.

If the scent doesn’t convince you to check it out, check out the ingredients. This contains real pear extract & real soy milk! It is also paraben free! What a welcome change in the drugstore/chain store ingredients. Plus, I just love it! This has a very nice lather & I don’t find myself using too much so it will last a long time. Also, it is moisturizing without leaving behind a residue. Wonderful!

For under $5 for this giant bottle, I am quite happy. I picked mine up in Walmart but I’ve heard of sightings at drugstores & other chains as well. This has me interested in trying many more St. Ives products since I don’t feel like it has been on my radar much. Cheers to a new discovery!

NEW Victoria’s Secret Fabulous Fragrance Review

March 13, 2013 By StephanieLouise 5052 Commentshttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Fnew-victorias-secret-fabulous-fragrance.htmlNEW+Victoria%27s+Secret+Fabulous+Fragrance+Review2013-03-13+15%3A01%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Fnew-victorias-secret-fabulous-fragrance-review.html

photo DSCN5150_zps4264c8a0.jpgVictoria’s Secret has been making some of my very favorite (& my husband’s favorite) fragrances for ages. I love their body products & cosmetics as well but when you see me dashing out in the evening on the way to VS it is usually to give a new fragrance the sniff. The new Fabulous by Victoria’s Secret Eau de Parfum was absolutely not an exception!

Forever sexy. Forever Fabulous. Go glam in this thrilling blend of juicy currant, osmanthus blossom and pink freesia from our Victoria’s Secret Fabulous collection. Spray on eau de parfum for irresistibly fresh Fabulous scent that lingers.

Let’s look at the composition shall we? Because this is always important to me!

Top
Juicy Currant, Violet Leaves, Apricot Nectar, Mandarin Natural

Middle
Osmanthus Blossom, Muguet, Jasmine Sambac, Pink Freesia

Dry-Down
Australian Sandalwood, Captive Musks, Bensoin, Whipped Vanilla

So why do I always try to post all of that? Because fragrances are original to each person’s personal chemistry. If you’re anything like me certain fragrance ingredients tend to “pull” on you. Ever notice that? For my friend, if there is a musk…you’ll smell it on her above pretty much everything else. For me? Everything tends to lean jasmine or more fruity. Just how each of us are unique!

On me I can really smell the currant, violet, & apricot/mandarin. Fruity, light, & very fresh. Perfect for spring. Next I definitely smell the jasmine (ah my wonderful chemistry, good thing I love jasmine huh?) & the sandalwood. This smells quite sparkling & fresh, the perfect day time scent. It is truly lovely & innocently sexy.It smells youthful & vibrant so it feels a lot more modern & easy to wear than heavier scents.
I love it & it is perfect for spring time! Now…if only the snow would melt!

You can purchase this fragrance form Victoria’s Secret stores & from Victoria‘s Secret online.

Urban Decay Theodora Oz the Great & Powerful Palette Set Review & Swatches

March 12, 2013 By StephanieLouise 506Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Furban-decay-theodora-oz-great-powerful.htmlUrban+Decay+Theodora+Oz+the+Great+%26+Powerful+Palette+Set+Review+%26+Swatches2013-03-12+22%3A03%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Furban-decay-theodora-oz-the-great-powerful-palette-set-review-swatches.html

 photo mainTheodoraUDPalette_zpsb3dba517.jpg

I realize this has taken forever to get up, but here is my Urban Decay Theodora Oz the Great & Powerful Palette Set Review & Swatches. Definitely more neutral than the Urban Decay Glinda Palette I reviewed here this is an easy palette for day or night wear. With lots of browns, a black, & gold the only colors we really have are greens. Everything feels very natural & I think this is a palette that will look good on pretty much everyone. If you’ve been one of the people reminding me to review the Urban Decay Theodora palette, I thank you. Sometimes I need reminding!

 photo UrbanDecayTheodora1_zps6876c579.jpg
 photo UrbanDecayTheodora2_zps532abd13.jpg

Just like Glinda this is one of the special palettes where you can rearrange eyeshadows & buy singles to put in. All of these shades are limited edition though so if you want them, this palette is a requirement. There are also 2 new kinds of eyeshadows in this palette which are duos. Love them. Need more of these. Check out the Urban Decay Glinda Palette to see my favorite duo & have me explain why I like them so darn much.

 photo UrbanDecayTheodora3_zps89c9d69a.jpg
 photo UrbanDecayTheodora4_zps22b6dded.jpg

Again, like Glinda, this palette is gorgeous. Sturdy metal tin packaging with a big mirror (although it doesn’t stand up on its own…rats!) but I actually prefer this one. I love the mystical & bewitching shades on the cover. Kind of like a subtly evil Aurora Borealis? Love it. Also, all the shadows are moveable so if you want to add some from the permanent line, Glinda palette, or just place them differently you can with ease.

I have to preface this with for some reason, while I was swatching, I didn’t notice how odd the lighting was. We‘ve had lots & lots of snow & it just warped everything in my lighting world. I prefer natural light but didn’t really have a choice. So that’s that. I’ll note any discrepancies bellow.

 photo UrbanDecayTheodoraBroken_zps583a564a.jpg

Broken- Creamy light beige with a bit of a satin finish. Great highlight shade & inner corner shade. It is warm enough that it works with all of the shades in the palette.

 photo UrbanDecayTheodoraBeware_zpsf07ec2a6.jpg
Beware- Warm caramel brown matte. This has impeccable pigmentation! This is warmer & darker in person

 photo UrbanDecayTheodoraBewitch_zps8d07d481.jpg

Bewitch- Cooler neutral brown with a satin finish. This didn’t photograph as true to color unfortunately. It has a lot more brown to it.

 photo UrbanDecayTheodoraWest_zps8969a835.jpg

West- Deep brown that lays somewhere between a shimmer & a metallic because it is so pigmented. I absolutely love this shade & so do my blue eyes! This is darker in person.

 photo UrbanDecayTheodoraSpell_zps292e9cf1.jpg

Spell- On side is a black satin with green shimmer & lime-y golden shimmer. The gold side is a very yellow toned gold with gold glitter. Unfortunately you’ll note some fallout there.

 photo UrbanDecayTheodoraJealous_zps03c1a2b0.jpg

Jealous- One side is a pale iridescent green it has some pearl to it so it can be applied over other shades to give them lots of depth. The darker shade is a medium green with a bit of yellow with a lighter green satin finish.

 photo UrbanDecayTheodoraSwatches_zpscd8d420b.jpg

Left to right: Broken, Beware, Bewitch, & West. Bewitch looks more taupe in the swatch than in real life.

 photo UrbanDecayTheodoraSwatches2_zpsbeadd69c.jpg

Left to right: Jealous, Spell, Pencil in Zero. The base is Theodora Lip Color.

24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero- This is a matte black eyeliner but I wish it had come with Urban Decay Perversion…I love that shade much more!

Urban Decay Theodora Super-Saturated High-Gloss Lip Color-  This is a bright glossy red. i love these pencils & although I am a bit surprised it is so bright & not a bit darker to go with the Theodora theme I still like it quite a bit!

In the end, out of the Theodora & the Glinda, this definitely has the day to day feel with a tad of sultry. For only $49 you get 6 full sized, unique shadows, the Build Your Own Palette, eyeliner, & lip color. A steal in comparison to buying things on their own even though everything but the eyeliner is limited edition. I personally prefer Glinda because it looks quite lovely on my blue eyes & fair skin but I’ve heard from a lot of ladies that it is harder for them. I can’t imagine this palette looking bad on anyone or evern being too hard to work with. Great for a full makeup look or a simple day time eye.

You can purchase the Urban Decay Glinda Oz the Great & Powerful Palette Set from both Sephora & Ulta for $49.

Have you tried this palette? Are you a Glinda or Theodora? What are your favorite shades?  Which palette do you prefer?

It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Pointed Precision Luminizer Brush & It Cosmetics Hello Light Anti-Aging Radiance Creme Review & Why You Need Them

March 12, 2013 By StephanieLouise 507Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Fit-cosmetics-heavenly-luxe-pointed.htmlIt+Cosmetics+Heavenly+Luxe+Pointed+Precision+Luminizer+Brush+%26+It+Cosmetics+Hello+Light+Anti-Aging+Radiance+Creme+Review+%26+Why+You+Need+Them2013-03-12+15%3A25%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Fit-cosmetics-heavenly-luxe-pointed-precision-luminizer-brush-it-cosmetics-hello-light-anti-aging-radiance-creme-review-why-you-need-them.html

 photo 2d7786ac-e932-47ba-a4e0-84c27e78f4e1_zpsb53cdb86.jpg

Say hello to the highlighter to end all highlighters. I love highlighters so much so when I got this gorgeous little baby from It Cosmetics in the mail I was quite excited. A highlighter! Right up my alley! The It Cosmetics Hello Light Anti-Aging Radiance Creme is pretty much the only highlighter I’ve reached for in weeks & I’m going to tell you why. Plus, get ready to need yet another brush because there simply isn’t another like it!

 photo DSCN5348_zpsc4214ccb.jpg

When it comes to a true highlight (I love shimmer powders but they don’t look as natural on me) I want something that I can wear just over moisturizer or with a full face of makeup. It needs to look real & like I was somehow born with the ability to glow on command. Ah if I only had that kind of superpower! Well, I guess, now I kind of do.

 photo DSCN5360_zps15bb91fd.jpg
Take note of the brush first. This is an excellent multi-tasking brush. This is the It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Pointed Precision Luminizer Brush & it is brilliant. This feels luxurious & is super softer but definitely the correct density for liquid or cream products to apply perfectly. This brush contains 100% cruelty free bristles & they absolutely do not tug when I’m applying. This is super important because sometimes I use it to apply concealer under my eyes as well. It is pointed so I can reach into tiny parts of my face such as my cupid’s bow & under eyes. For larger areas I can pat it with the point & angle it to the side as well. You’re going to love it.

 photo DSCN5357_zpsbc0e9704.jpg
 photo DSCN5368_zps5817cf02.jpg

Now onto the shining star of this post, the It Cosmetics Hello Light Anti-Aging Radiance Creme. This specific products was designed to blur away fine lines, provide skin with the look of vitality without glitter or shimmer, & to nourish your skin while warding off free-radicals all day long. It automatically lifts & brightens your skin but you won’t even feel it. This is the thinnest veil of creme ever.

 photo DSCN5351_zpsce872926.jpg

Use the back of the box to note what parts of your face you most want to bring forward, add light, & brighten. Again, you can use this on bare skin or foundation & it looks so naturally radiant…it is now considered a must have. This is now entered into my Holy Grail products which is a rarity.

 photo DSCN5374_zps55cbaa94.jpg
 photo DSCN5377_zps8bf105b1.jpg

You can see it blended in on the left & pre-blending on the right. Fabulous.

The It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe Pointed Precision Luminizer Brush & It Cosmetics Hello Light Anti-Aging Radiance Creme are available from QVC, QVC.com, ItCosmetics.com, & internationally at The Shopping Channel & theshoppingchannel.com in Canada.

Why I Love Batiste Dry Shampoos in Original, Tropical, & Blush

March 11, 2013 By StephanieLouise 5082 Commentshttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Fwhy-i-love-batiste-dry-shampoos-in.htmlWhy+I+Love+Batiste+Dry+Shampoos+in+Original%2C+Tropical%2C+%26+Blush2013-03-11+15%3A10%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Fwhy-i-love-batiste-dry-shampoos-in-original-tropical-blush.html

 photo DSCN5077_zpsc7667127.jpg

So I’ve been trying out Batiste Dry Shampoo (3 different varieties) for awhile now & it is finally time to tell you guys what I think! I spotted them at my local Walgreens (which means they’re likely everywhere else since my Walgreens is always the absolute last to know) so you can pick them up locally. I’ve also spotted them at ULTA. I know there are some other varieties & I definitely want to try them out to but for now I get to show you the Batiste Original, Blush, & Tropical varieties.

How I Use It:
I have pretty normal hair with ends that are a bit on the dry side. My hair looks so much better on day 2-3 & also holds a style tons better. My hair is very thick but it is also very fine. I use the dry shampoo by shaking the can a bit, aim for my roots, & spritz where needed. I then take clean hands & fluff up my hair a bit to work it into my roots. Pretty much automatically my hair gets nice & big. Sexy volume hair. No more residue of any kind. Sometimes I use it in the afternoon to re-volume up my hair for the evening. Works like a charm.

Batiste Original- This has that clean original scent that is perfect to start with if you aren’t big on scents in general. It smells clean but also very light & fades nicely. I love the striped can too, looks so classic.

Batiste Tropical- My personal favorite, this smells like drinking coconut drinks on a sandy beach. It smells divine to me & I reach for it the most. This can is bright & cheery, like a vacation in a can should be.

Batiste Blush- I like this one a lot for daytime use because it is a flirty floral. It isn’t too heavy though so don’t think old lady perfume, it has a nice feminine balance.

I am now officially dying to try a few of the other scents I haven’t had the opportunity to try yet! Wild, Cherry, & Lace are especially intriguing…I really want them! Because Batiste originated in the UK I’m not sure how hard it will be to get my hands on them but I’m up to the challenge!

Have you tried Batiste Dry Shampoo? Do you like dry shampoos? What kind of scent do you looks for?

China Glaze Glitz Swatches & Review

March 8, 2013 By StephanieLouise 509Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Fchina-glaze-glitz-swatches-review.htmlChina+Glaze+Glitz+Swatches+%26+Review2013-03-08+23%3A33%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Fchina-glaze-glitz-swatches-review.html

 photo ChinaGlazeCollageGlitz_zps8c8706f2.jpg
This has taken me forever to get up & I do apologize. These are absolutely me glitters because they are a bit wild & have black pieces in them. I had some issues picking which colors I needed (because I could have easily bought them all) & ended up with 3 shades. I really wish there had been a black & white one offered to make up for the disaster from the China Glaze Cirque collection.
Each glitter is comprised of black & one other color. The black pieces are micro hexes, small hexes, medium hexes, large, hexes, & extra large hexes along with longer bar glitter that is thin which I usually call wispies. For the color pieces we have micro hexes, small hexes, & medium hexes. All are suspended in a clear base.

 photo DSCN4238_zps9150b197.jpg

China Glaze Graffiti Glitter- The emerald shade totally drew me to this shade & it said “buy me now!” so of course I listened like the total psycho I am. Seen here over China Glaze Def Defying.

 photo DSCN4293_zps85e5122b.jpg
 photo DSCN4298_zps35531afb.jpg

China Glaze Bling It On- The color in this particular shade is what I usually call washed jeans. It is a mix between blue & purple. Seen here over Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Raspberry Race.

 photo DSCN4263_zps9a59daad.jpg
 photo DSCN4270_zpscdb1ed75.jpg

China Glaze Glitz ‘N Pieces- I felt like this was the awesome basic shade I needed & I’ll probably use most because the main shade is silver. Seen here over China Glaze Hanging in the Balance.

These are still floating around some of my local Sally stores but I know you can pick these up online as well. What do you think of these shades? What are your favorites?

Physicians Formula Sexy Glow Blushes & Bronzer Review & Swatches

March 8, 2013 By StephanieLouise 510Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Fphysicians-formula-sexy-glow-blushes.htmlPhysicians+Formula+Sexy+Glow+Blushes+%26+Bronzer+Review+%26+Swatches2013-03-08+14%3A07%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Fphysicians-formula-sexy-glow-blushes-bronzer-review-swatches.html

photo DSCN4720_zpsccf2917d.jpgWhen it comes to drugstore blushes & bronzers, I’m a big fan of Physician’s Formula especially. They are always coming up with something innovative, beautifully packaged, & in lovely shades. The newest releases are super sexy & definitely unlike anything I’ve ever seen. The packaging itself is so sexy you might even blush!

 photo DSCN4725_zps801b6dc8.jpg

Sexy Booster™ Sexy Glow Blush Information
Irresistibly Sexy Blushing Glow: Wear this perfect blend of shimmery blushing tones like lingerie for your face for an instant sexy boost with an alluring blushing glow.Hypoallergenic. Paraben-Free. Gluten Free.Dermatologist Approved. Non-Comedogenic.

 photo DSCN4740_zps079d95f6.jpg
 photo DSCN4742_zps567cc55c.jpg

Packaging-  The packaging on these products is totally different from anything else I own & they are just so fun to look at. With a plastic clear window, you can see what the product looks like. The outside is red with black fishnet wrapped around it. There is also a little black bow with a silver high heel charm.

 photo DSCN4730_zps3533a0c0.jpg
 photo DSCN4732_zpsf0b42efd.jpg

Turn it over & you’ll see it is similar. With a peeking window, you’ll see a brush then behind that inside you’ll see a mirror. Each side is magnetic.

Scent-  Infused with the scent of warm vanilla, “afterglow” illumination and pheromone-mimicking ingredients including clinically tested Androstadienone, Cocoa Extract (aka “the Love Chemical”) and ancient aphrodisiac Horny Goatweed to enhance your sexy side. This smells like sexy vanilla. I honestly have no idea how else to describe it. You can really smell it too! Even when you use such a small amount. I am in love with this scent for sure.

 photo DSCN4758_zps635372e6.jpg

PF Sexy Booster Sexy Glow Blush in Natural (left to right are the shoe, the background, & then both together) This definitely has a bit of coral to it which makes it absolutely gorgeous. Just a touch, not too much.

 photo DSCN4747_zps0dc17746.jpg
 photo DSCN4763_zps81c21b04.jpg

PF Sexy Booster Sexy Glow Blush in Rose (left to right are the shoe, the background, & then both together) This is more of a true pink & it looks really natural on my fair skin.

Product & Swatches- The idea of a sexy stiletto on my blush had honestly never occurred to me. But it is gorgeous. You can see the shoes have dense, larger shimmers. It isn’t an overspray either. From what I can tell, the heel goes straight through to the pan. If not, do let me know! I’m not sure about the thin stiletto though, it might not go all the way through. You can see these blushes are a bit lighter but they are definitely buildable. I wouldn’t want to use too much anyway because these are more glowy.

Overall- Easy pigmentation, glowy finish, smelling like a crazy sexy lady. I’m seriously digging this from packaging to scent to just about everything about it.

Packaging- Same as the blushes with the red background, same back, & black fishnet. & the same cute little charm!

Again this smells devastatingly good. I like this even more I think…because I can wear it all over. I really like it atop my shoulders a bit too.

 photo DSCN4735_zps5e3120bc.jpg
 photo DSCN4739_zps337e1930.jpg
 photo DSCN4753_zps3468cfb2.jpg

PF Sexy Booster Sexy Glow Bronzer in Light (left to right are the bustier, the background, & then both together)

Product & Swatches-  Its so pretty I had trouble digging into it.Instead of a shoe, we have a seriously cute bustier of another shade. The bustier is a light golden beige type shade again with that more apparent shimmer like the shoes above. The main shade is a very light shimmering bronze-y shade with a hint of champagne. This is quite a cool toned bronzer but the gold warms it up enough to give me some oomph.

Overall- Again, in love. This bronzer is light enough that I can highlight with it or bronze. I can use it on my face & also my neck & chest. Plus, this scent. I can’t even keep going because, yesssss love!

My Take- Make me more! In fact, make me some highlighters! I want to bathe in this scent! The colors are pretty, especially if you like glow-y shades. The bronzer is perfect (consider this one is in light as well so I think there is something darker) as an all over glowy touch. If you’re looking for something to amp up date night, this is it. My hubby definitely smelled it on me & questioned what it was. I’d planned to ask professionally if he could smell something different but he beat me to it. He even recognized I had it on my cheeks. Plus, I just look so darn pretty in it!

You can purchase Physician’s Formula products at lots of locations like drugstores, ULTA, Walmart, etc. You can actually find a store near you on their site. Prices vary from store to store & I urge you to look for a good deal!

What do you think, have you tried these out? Are you digging the new-ish scented powders theme going through the high end & now drugstores? Which shade most interests you?

Throwback Thursday- Charlotte Russe Eyeshadow Stacks + Swatches

March 7, 2013 By StephanieLouise 511Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Fthrowback-thursday-charlotte-russe.htmlThrowback+Thursday-+Charlotte+Russe+Eyeshadow+Stacks+%2B+Swatches2013-03-07+23%3A11%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F03%2Fthrowback-thursday-charlotte-russe-eyeshadow-stacks-swatches.html

So when I asked you guys on twitter/facebook if you’d be interested in seeing some old school posts about makeup I used back in the day, you seemed genuinely interested. Good thing, because I’m a hoarder. You know on tv when they tell people “You need to get rid of this. I know it is a good memory but you have to let it go” or something like that? Well I held onto quite a few makeup products from back in the day & I’m excited to show you how I used them, what they looked like, & all that jazz. If you’re not interested in see my old makeup (as hip, & cool, & with it as I was back then) then feel free to check out any of my other hundreds of posts. I’ll be featuring products every Thursday for awhile so sit back & enjoy!

 photo DSCN5460_zps0c59e38a.jpg
So I have to say, it was hard choosing what I’d feature first. Would I feature something from a brand you all would recognize? A product we could bond over? Nah instead I’m goign to show you 2 loose eyeshadow trios I was completely obsessed with in 6th & 7th grade. They are from Charlotte Russe which was also a seriously big deal & way different back then. It was super trendy & actually pretty new-ish to our mall so I felt pretty cool about the whole thing.

 photo DSCN5461_zps79528dcd.jpg

White Stack-

 photo DSCN5466_zpsd2fe2b10.jpg

 photo DSCN5477_zps30125572.jpg

This glitter was definitely a favorite. I rocked this silver holo glitter on my eyes & hair at many a cheesy school dance. The other shades landed on my eyes so often & that was long before shading or contouring. One while is a pale white gold & the other is a pure frosted white.

Pink Stack-

 photo DSCN5470_zps2078bbb6.jpg
 photo DSCN5482_zpsd1eca421.jpg
 photo DSCN5481_zpsef97711e.jpg

The glitter is a mix of hot pink & white iridescent glitter which was just so freaking hot. I mean, it was multi-colored mixed with hot pink.Gosh I was cool. The other two shades were on my eyes constantly. One is the palest of pinks with pink shimmer while the other is a dusty rose-y pink that kind of looks fire-y on the eye. I also had a shade from Caboodles way back in the day similar to the darker shade I was obsessed with. Even with my teenage makeup ADD I went through like 3 containers of it.

Here I’ve foiled all four of the eyeshadows. Aren’t they pretty? Wish I’d known back then!

I’m honestly not sure which of these trios I used more, the whites or the pinks. White eyeshadow was way cool at my middle school & shimmer was always in. Plus, each of the trios has a loose glitter. Glitter was the bomb ya’ll. I never foiled them back then (I wouldn’t have even known what that was) but man are they pretty right? These are powdered mineral shadows without any smell, have been sanitized, & the colors haven’t shifted a bit. The containers are dirty, cracked here & there, & I don’t think they ever quite closed right. I never cared & looking at them now I’m impressed by the quality. Its too bad Charlotte Russe stopped making these because wow they’re lovely.

They’re pretty great right? Did you use loose eyeshadows back in the day? What were your favorite colors to wear?

When it comes to skincare, I’m constantly looking for the latest & greatest. Currently my skin is really dry, needs significant exfoliation, & isn’t up to par. Boo. I’m also acne prone (thank you stress) so right now I’m in a world of hurt. Or at least, that was last week before the Pond’s Luminous line hit my radar.

Sephora Collection Outrageous Prisma Chrome Metallic Eyeshadow in Taupe #6 Review, Swatches, & Eyeshadow Look

Have you ever fallen in love with an eyeshadow? I’ve been there. & they so rarely break your heart (unless it is limited edition, breaks, or gets a formulation change…gasp!) I’m in love & it is limited edition so I’m informing you that you need to go get the Sephora Collection Outrageous Prisma Chrome Metallic Eyeshadow in Taupe #6. This is apparently limited edition (I didn’t know that when I bought it) but when I saw it on Pink Sith’s blog post here was just too fabulous to pass up. She loves taupe too so we’re eyeshadow sisters.

You can see this doesn’t lean as brown in the pan but it comes out in the swatches. This comes in plastic packaging but it doesn’t feel cheap. I always like the clear window on top so I know what I’m looking for. The eyeshadow itself is quilted & it was a bit heartbreaking to ruin it. Pretty. I know this is $16 which I normally don’t pay for a single eyeshadow from a brand I haven’t played with in person but you also get 0.12 oz of product. For reference, that’s 0.05 oz in your common MAC shadow. Now $16 seems like a bargain eh? Especially because this is so pigmented that I barely need to use much.

Let’s talk about taupe. There is a lot of different kinds of taupe. This is glorious. This particular taupe is metallic & lays somewhere between cool brown & cool silver-y lilac-y grey. Its taupe, it isn’t hard to explain okay? What you DO need to know is how amazingly pigmented this is. I’ve swatched so you can see it both wet & dry.Top is foiled bottom is a light finger swatch.

I did this eyeshadow look before filming my February 2013 Favorites video & my Glossybox February 2013 box video. You can check out how it looks on film there! & don’t forget to subscribe! I used it dry on my lid & dampened (or foiled if you prefer) on my crease. If it looks patchy at all it is because it is metallic & caught the light not because I go out lookin a hot mess.

Here it is…& yes the smile is real. Because I’m wearing taupe. A fabulous taupe. A taupe I wasn’t able to compare to any of my other taupes. TAUPE. It makes me happy.

So there you have it, a whole bunch of talking about this fabulous Sephora Collection Outrageous Prisma Chrome Metallic Eyeshadow in Taupe #6 so hopefully you’ll appreciate it. The name is a bit ridiculously long, but I’ll allow it. After all, its taupe.

**I bought this shadow with my own money. Affiliate links have been used. I also linked to Pink Sith. She’s not giving me anything but she can if she wants to I suppose.
