Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat Textured Nail Polish Swatches & Review

Sally Hansen has knocked it out of the park with a nice collection of originals ( & dupes!) of the Nails Inc. Feathers collection. If you remember back to my birthday haul (with LOADS of polishes!) then you’ll know that I bought one! These are cheaper & for me…exactly the same! These don’t say texture to me but they are bar glitters in a clear base! I imagine they are supposed to look like feathers but I think they look more like knit sweaters 🙂 I personally love them & I hope you will too! Keep reading to see the 5 I chose!

Formula was consistent on all of these except for Peach Fuzz which seemed slightly thinner…maybe it was just my bottle? I did different coats which I’ll note below so you could see some more opaque looks here & there. I didn’t use a top coat but I would if I was going to wear them as a manicure, they have a bit of texture to them. I think you can get these more opaque on their own if you really wanted to but I think you’d want to thin it out a bit.

 photo SallyHansenFuzzyCoatSwatches06_zps703168b6.jpg

Sally Hansen Tweedy- Black & white bar glitter in a clear base. Seen here over Orly Hot Shot which is a neon so it didn’t photograph right. I love black, white, & neons! 2 coats on my pointer & ring then one coat on my middle & pinky.

 photo SallyHansenFuzzyCoatSwatches02_zps04a00d1c.jpg

Sally Hansen  Fuzz-Sea- Brightened blue & yellow bar glitter in a clear base. Seen here over Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Grape Race for a really springy look! 4 coats on my pointer & middle then one coat on my ring & pinky.

 photo SallyHansenFuzzyCoatSwatches05_zps03d50b20.jpg
Sally Hansen Fuzzy Fantasy- Light green & white bar glitter in a clear base. Seen here over Revlon Lagoon Afternoon which doesn’t look right at all! I’ll do swatches of this on its own because it is super gorgeous & bright & I’ll correct them for you! One coat on all my nails.

 photo SallyHansenFuzzyCoatSwatches03_zpsdb54e9a9.jpg

Sally Hansen  Peach Fuzz- Peach & & pale yellow bar glitter in a clear base. Seen here over Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in In Record Lime. One coat on all my nails.

 photo SallyHansenFuzzyCoatSwatches04_zps4dcedfa2.jpg

Sally Hansen Wool Knot- Brightened blue & white bar glitter in a clear base. Seen here over Covergirl My Papaya. 4 coats on my middle finger & one coat on the rest.

 photo SallyHansenFuzzyCoatSwatches08_zpsbb3ee5c2.jpg

I passed on a light pink shade but the rest of the line wasn’t at my target where I picked these up. I plan to pick up some of them when they are though because I’m loving this look! I think they were $5 & some change which wasn’t bad for a glitter that I have found myself reaching for. What do you think?

So for those of you who didn’t know, my birthday was in April! I did a birthday haul here which was pretty grand if I do say so myself! One of the best things about signing up for the Sephora Beauty Insiders program is the freebie you get every year! This year Sephora teamed up with Benefit & I’m loving this duo!

 photo Sephora-Birthday-Gift-2013-Benefit-02_zps7e8cba3a.jpg
 photo Sephora-Birthday-Gift-2013-Benefit-03_zpsa818b33f.jpg

You get a mini size of the Benefit They’re Real! Mascara & an adorable little Benefit Watt’s Up! Highlighter. I have been piling up samples of Benefit They’re Real & really do need to finally try it! I’ve pretty much only heard great things so I don’t know what I’m waiting for? The Benefit Watt’s Up! highlighter is such a cute mini! It comes in a little twist up size, perfect for my purse! If you’re a highlighter junkie like me then you’ll be thrilled!

 photo Sephora-Birthday-Gift-2013-Benefit-04_zpsda71362e.jpg
Here’s a swatch of the Benefit Watt’s Up! highlighter…& it is pretty much perfection! This is perfectly champagne, not too peach/white/pink/any other tones that often make a highlight look unnatural.

Thrilled. If you haven’t gotten your birthday gift yet I hope you enjoy it as much as I have! love a great freebie!

Glamour Doll Eyes Eyeshadows in Phyrra, Oddity, Downtown, Veteran, Flawless, & Strawberry Cupcake!

May 17, 2013 By StephanieLouise 436Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F05%2Fglamour-doll-eyes-eyeshadows-in-phyrra.htmlGlamour+Doll+Eyes+Eyeshadows+in+Phyrra%2C+Oddity%2C+Downtown%2C+Veteran%2C+Flawless%2C+%26+Strawberry+Cupcake%212013-05-17+22%3A14%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F05%2Fglamour-doll-eyes-eyeshadows-in-phyrra-oddity-downtown-veteran-flawless-strawberry-cupcake.html

PR Sample. Affiliate links.

Glamour Doll Eyes has been on my “I have to try this!” list for a long time now. Their shadows are gorgeous & unique..plus some of my very favorite bloggers do tutorials with them frequently! Notice the first shadow mentioned is Phyrra as in my friend Phyrra who I adore so much right over here? Indeed! I’ll be doing some tutorials with these shades soon so definitely stay tuned for those…but in the mean time enjoy the swatches & color breakdowns!

 photo GlamourDollEyesEyeshadows01_zps324b5904.jpg

Each eyeshadow comes housed in a plastic container with a lid. There isn’t a sifter which doesn’t bother me but I thought I would mention it just in case! You can get shadows with sifters but you get less product. On the back you’ll find the shade name, size, ingredients, if it is lip safe, & if it is vegan. I wish all containers came with this! When I’m doing more creative looks I always have to look up if I can use something as a lip color or liner. These also come sealed so no spilling while it ships! I’ve had some messy orders from other brands so this was excellent. You can also order samples of the shades & they have deals too.

From Glamour Doll Eyes: A sample baggie comes with .5 gram which is 1/8th of a teaspoon. A sample jar comes with 1 gram which is 1/4th of a teaspoon and a full jar comes with about 2 grams, which is a half of a teaspoon. I never level out the spoons, so most of the time, it is flowing over so you receive a bit more than what is stated. Please note, some shadows have different textures so the jars might not look as full as others, it doesn’t mean that there is less shadow.

 photo GlamourDollEyesEyeshadows02_zps3d0cab03.jpg

Row 1 left to right: Phyrra, Oddity, & Downtown.

Row 2 left to right: Veteran, Flawless, & Strawberry Cupcake.

Italics are the shade descriptions from Glamour Doll Eyes site & then my notes are below! These can also be foiled. If you want to see them on my eye foiled or any color combinations just let me know! The first photo is natural light while the second is with flash to make some of the shimmer pop. Swatches are at the end.

 photo GlamourDollEyesEyeshadowsPhyrra_zps278165c9.jpg

Phyrra- is hot pink with aqua sparkles.
Of course this is stunning! This is a cool pink that leans purple in some lights. I love the aqua sparkles! They look electric! (Lip Safe/Not Vegan)

 photo GlamourDollEyesEyeshadowsOddity_zps718ef78f.jpg

Oddity- is a very unique blend of shimmer and matte. This is a lime green but almost looks duochrome as well!
Definitely a different shade of green! I am digging this shade so much & it walks that line between apple &  olive drab green that appeals to me year round. (Not Lip Safe/Vegan)

 photo GlamourDollEyesEyeshadowsDowntown_zps1f5276b2.jpg

Downtown- is a medium tone brown with aqua sparkle.
This is so much better in person than it was online! The sparkles in this are insane, they flash beautiful making this an edgy neutral I’ll be reaching for a ton! This definitely has a taupe-ness that is amazing as well! (Lip Safe/Vegan)

 photo GlamourDollEyesEyeshadowsVeteran_zpsd4ccdf11.jpg

Veteran- N/A because it is out of stock.
This is a dark navy with red/bronze shimmer. I love it. I plan to use it on 4th of July & it holds a special place since my husband is in the Air Force. Love this shade, so pretty. (Not Lip Safe/Vegan)

 photo GlamourDollEyesEyeshadowsFlawless_zpsca6bf253.jpg

Flawless- is a light beige/pink with subtle turquoise and gold shimmers.
I wanted a ice neutral to use as a highlight/base & flawless was an awesome choice. Beautiful, easy to blend, & I can sheer it out or layer it depending on what I’m looking for. (Lip Safe/Not Vegan)

 photo GlamourDollEyesEyeshadowsStrawberryCupcake_zps85c84e45.jpg

Strawberry Cupcake- is a pretty pink color, not too bright and not too light!
This was the only shade I wasn’t sure about when I was looking online…but it is awesome. This is a cross between a softened hot pink & tangerine. Holy moly! This is gorgeous & I can totally see myself using it on my cheeks, lips, & of course my eyes! (Lip Safe/Vegan)

 photo Glamour-Doll-Eyes-Swatches-03_zps0d262255.jpg

 photo Glamour-Doll-Eyes-Swatches-01_zps4dd49c4b.jpg
 photo Glamour-Doll-Eyes-Swatches-02_zps2ac2d483.jpg

Swatches are over primer & were done with a dry fingertip.

Row 1 left to right: Phyrra, Oddity, & Downtown.
Row 2 left to right: Veteran, Flawless, & Strawberry Cupcake.

Each of these shades retails for only $6 & because they’re so pigmented it will take a long time to get through these! Each shade is love so I definitely need more. I’m working on putting together some eyeshadow loos/tutorials so if you have any requests, just let me know! I definitely need to show some of thee foiled. Each shade is completely unique to my collection…& I have a lot of eyeshadows. They come out with a lot of specialty collections as well.

There are seriously so many more shades I want! Check out Bruised, Immature, Stellar & Tattooed are definitely all on my list! Do you have any shades from Glamour Doll Eyes? Anything you think I need to get my hands on next time?

Claire’s Splatter Black and White Nail Polish Over Butter London’s Poole Swatches & Review

*BL Poole is a PR Sample. Affiliate links.

When it comes to black & white glitter nail polishes…I must collect them all! I didn’t have super high hopes from his one from Claire’s but it turned out lovely. I don’t know why I wasn’t expecting it to, I’ve been impressed with pretty much every Claire’s polish in my collection. I swatched this over Butter London Poole which is pretty much a perfect combo of love for me. Keep reading to see swatches!

Claire’s Splatter Nail Polish: Micro hexes, medium hexes, large hexes, & jumbo hexes in both black & white & then black bar glitter suspended in a clear base. This is “placed a bit (although you can apply in coats I just like an overall even look!) over Butter London Poole.

I’m really loving this shade!  It applied nicely & had the decency to lay flat even without a top coat. I was thinking about how much I loved this combo with Butter London Poole…when I realized this was very similar to a combo I did with Zoya Wednesday last year for IMATs! I guess I like what I like huh?

Butter London Poole is part of the summer collection ( I have 3 polishes to swatch!) so if you like this shade, snap it up while you can! Claire’s doesn’t have an online store so you’ll have to go inside for this baby! They were having a deal that I think was like 2 for something or other but I know it was under $10!

Ipsy (MyGlam) Bag for May 2013 featuring Zoya, Pacifica, & More!

May 16, 2013 By StephanieLouise 438Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F05%2Fipsy-myglam-bag-for-may-2013-featuring.htmlIpsy+%28MyGlam%29+Bag+for+May+2013+featuring+Zoya%2C+Pacifica%2C+%26+More%212013-05-16+23%3A20%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F05%2Fipsy-myglam-bag-for-may-2013-featuring-zoya-pacifica-more.html

 photo Ipsy-May-2013-MyGlam-01_zpsc0461885.jpg

I bought it. Referral links.

So I’ve had issues with Ipsy lately…mostly with the fact that I haven’t received last months bag…still. I guess they put the wrong zip code on it & it just bounced around New Jersey (I’m in Nebraska fyi) then said it was delivered…well…not to me. I’ve had to talk to them multiple times without much luck but it finally seems to have been worked out & I actually just got an official shipping notification. For my April Bag. Finally.

With that out of the way, I’m going to try to remain calm while I tell you all about the May Ipsy Bag! I liked some of the bags I saw from others so much that I actually bought a 2nd subscription which is on its way now with a product I was planning to buy anyway. Score. Because I’ll do a 2nd post/video on that one I’ll get back to this one!

The bag this month is turquoise/orange Miami colored zig zags which doesn’t blow me away but I do like that it feels waterproof-ish. Perfect for summer. You also get an info card & a Nu-Me certificate for $110 off…even though I didn’t get anything from Nu-Me. Whateves.

 photo Ipsy-May-2013-MyGlam-04_zps9daf7fc8.jpg

Pacifica Coconut Crushed Pearl Bronzing Body Butter 2 oz : This is an excellent travel size & I adore Pacfica so I was thrilled to see it in my bag. Love their fragrances & body lotions but I’ve never tried any bronzing products from them. This didn’t really make me look darker (I would have noticed…I’m ghostly) but it did provide a nice shimmer that looks beachy. The scent is divine, love it.

Zoya Nail Polish in Jacqueline: This shade is from the Spring 2013 Zoya line called Lovely which I reviewed here. Considering these sell for $8 – $9 this pretty much pays for the bag. I’ll either give this one away or put it with my neutral bases for swatching. I loved this shade then & I still do.

Yaby Concealer in Buff: This concealer is very small but not bad for travel if you have a mini Z- Palette or something. Like I said in my video…Nice concealer but too dark. I hate filling out a profile then not getting a shade that matches. Boo.

Juice Beauty Gloss in Pink: Pretty, nicely pigmented, full sized, & the natural type scent doesn’t bother me. It is a bit gloopy so I found it hard to make it opaque so this will either be worn sheer or over lipstick. Nice packaging, reminds me of Buxum glosses.

 photo Ipsy-May-2013-MyGlam-02_zpsf51423de.jpg
Mirabella Sheer Lipstick in Bellarina: This lipstick kills me. It is the most gorgeous shade in the tube, an apricot pink with gold shimmer. Sadly…I don’t really see myself using it. It is ultra sheer & I didn’t find it buildable on the lips really either. It doesn’t even look good over a lipstick shade : / The picture was in sunshine, isn’t is lovely?

 photo Ipsy-May-2013-MyGlam-03_zps3ab18eda.jpg

Left to right: Yaby Concealer in Buff, Mirabella Sheer Lipstick in Bellarina, & Juice Beauty Gloss in Pink.

If all of this sounds like a great deal for only $10 a month, I agree. This bag was a great value with lots of full sized products. You can use my referral link (I’d appreciate it!) to sign up & cancel whenever you decide you don’t want it anymore. What did you think of this bag? Worth the $10 or would you pass? I’ll show you the next bag (& my Birchbox!) soon!

Onyx Slate Beaded Scrabble Tile Charm Bracelet from WiReD Boutique

With my many posts about nails art, eyeshadow tutorials, & hair care… I might not imply enough how much I love jewelry. Because, wow, I love it so much. I’m going to be trying to share of it more on the blog so let’s start with this beautiful bracelet from WiReD Boutique featuring some unique elements! I’ve been wearing it tons since it arrived & have found it to be very versatile.
All of the materials I use are high-quality and the workmanship is extremely detailed. We will return glamour to altered jewelry! Most of the materials are recycled or reclaimed. Your family and friends will be tremendously surprised that your beautiful work-of-art jewelry began as a domino or scrabble tile!

I’m a big time admirer of people who can take something simple (like the scrabble tiles on my bracelet!) & turn it into something way fashion forward.

 photo C-_Users_StephanieLouise_Pictures_Stephanie-Louise-ATB_May-2013_Slate-Bracelet_edit-use_DSCN8323_zps4ae4f1f2.jpg

These beads are beautiful & have a nice weight to them. They have the cool cracked glass appearance which makes them look even more original.

 photo C-_Users_StephanieLouise_Pictures_Stephanie-Louise-ATB_May-2013_Slate-Bracelet_edit-use_DSCN8327_zps23f98c60.jpg
I was such a dunce that I didn’t even notice the beads spelled out “Slate” until I had worn it for days! Dur! She was so detailed & I didn’t even notice! I was pretty excited because it got me thinking, “Hey you guys can spell things on your bracelets!”

 photo C-_Users_StephanieLouise_Pictures_Stephanie-Louise-ATB_May-2013_Slate-Bracelet_edit-use_DSCN8328_zps14cf4265.jpg

Indeed I contacted Pam who created this beauty & this is what she said:
I’ve had tiles spell out “TRUTH,” “LOVE,” and “HOPE” for example. I’ve also designed bracelets with the person’s name or initials on them. And they do not cost extra but it does take about one week for production. It takes about one day for the jewelry glue to set and about three days for the resin or acrylic coating to dry and set.

How cool is that? She also works with dominoes which is really different! I love that she takes things & completely transforms them too. I mean, look how beautiful the slate look on my tiles is! She also has different shades, glitters, etc. so all of her designs are different. I really love this personalized photo charm bracelet where she uses  actual photos of loved ones & of course this USA themed domino necklace would be perfect for some of the military events I attend!

You can purchase this bracelet (if you don’t see it on the site it is just sold out so send her a request!), necklaces, & other items from Pam’s WiReD Boutique Etsy shop & her new website www.wiredboutique.indiemade.com  Along with these two sites, she has Facebook and Pinterest.

PR sample. Affiliate linking goes through to Kathy Millard. All opinions are my own.

Avon has come out with some new lipsticks with a new shape! Avon Color Precise Lipsticks come with a diamond shaped tip to keep the “feather-proof color in line” & to top your lips with “moisturizing stay-put shades”. These shades are created to make a more defined application of color to the lips. If you like a more defined lip then these could be for you! Keep reading to see lip swatches & the 3 shades I chose!

 photo Avon-Color-Precise-Lipsticks-05_zps4a018e1b.jpg
 photo Avon-Color-Precise-Lipsticks-06_zps502cb512.jpg
These shadescome packaged with a plastic wrapping that contains most of the information. After peeling that off you’re left with only the sticker on the bottom for reference. I hate that they stamped a number over the basic information because it makes it harder to read the name. I do appreciate that the stickers coincide with the shades inside of the tube.

Here are the swatches, you can see the diamond shape definitely comes through! Left to right we have Avon Color Precise Lipstick in Definite Peach, Really Red, & Fuchsia Finish.

Here are my bare lips for preference, you can see they aren’t very pigmented currently!

 photo Avon-Color-Precise-Lipsticks-04_zpsbccb373a.jpg

Avon Color Precise Lipstick in Definite Peach

 photo Avon-Color-Precise-Lipsticks-03_zpsbd77b56e.jpg

This shade has more of a frosty finish than I’m used to but it is still a pretty shade. The shimmer in it makes it reflective so you can skip a gloss if you’d like! This is also a truer soft peach, it doesn’t really lean pink or coral.

Avon Color Precise Lipstick in Really Red

 photo Avon-Color-Precise-Lipsticks-02_zpsd8506636.jpg

This pulls a bit brighter on me but I think it would pull a tad more pink on less fair tones. It has red shimmer in it which gives some nice dimension. This almost a slight jelly appearance to it.

Avon Color Precise Lipstick in Fuchsia Finish

 photo Avon-Color-Precise-Lipsticks-01_zps3acb294a.jpg

The pink in this really pulls on me & I love it. This is also the only one of the three shades that doesn’t have shimmer & has the best pigmentation. I wore this for about 5 hours & it was very comfortable. I think it looks a bit more watermelon in the photo on my lips but it is a tad more on the medium fuchsia side.

Overall I see where Avon was going with this new collection. I like the varying finishes, moisturizing formula, & the packaging is nice & lightweight. I’m not sure if I’m sold on the diamond shaped lipsticks though… But I also prefer rounded lips on myself because more defined looks just don’t look right on me. More than anything I had to get used to the shape because I had to maneuver the smaller areas of my lips without completely coloring outside the natural lip line. Not saying these lipsticks are bad by any means but they also aren’t my perfect fit. I’ll definitely be reached for them (especially Fuchsia Finish) because the formula is really nice & wears evenly on me. I think you’d like these most if 1) You like defined lips 2) you find it difficult to create tips on your upper lip or 3) you fall in love with one of the shades like I did.

This giveaway was made possible by Avon representative Kathy Millard & you can purchase from her site here!: www.youravon.com/kmillard Kathy is graciously giving away one lipstick to two winners & you can choose your own shade! This giveaway is open to US residents only. Good luck everyone!

Simple Luxuries Pink Sugar & Very Vanilla Lotion Bars

May 15, 2013 By StephanieLouise 441Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F05%2Fsimple-luxuries-pink-sugar-very-vanilla.htmlSimple+Luxuries+Pink+Sugar+%26+Very+Vanilla+Lotion+Bars2013-05-15+20%3A37%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F05%2Fsimple-luxuries-pink-sugar-very-vanilla-lotion-bars.html

PR Sample.

If you’ve ever hung out with me in person than you know I have at least one lotion & one hand sanitizer on me at all times. Sure, they serve a purpose which is well & good but I definitely use them as a scent pick-me-up as well! I love to smell good & layer scents throughout the day so the fact that I’m showing you two scents that’ll do just that shouldn’t be a surprise! Simple Luxuries Very Vanilla & Pink Sugar Lotion Bars were definitely a hit for me!
Our lotion bars have made people think about lotion in a new and unique way!  They are made with 4 simple ingredients – Grapeseed Oil, Beeswax, Shea Butter, and Vitamin E, so they are amazing for your skin.  They come in roll up tubes so there is no mess. Try them once and you may never go back to liquid lotion again!

 photo Simple-Luxuries-Pink-Sugar-Vanilla-Lotion-Bars-Review-02_zps4874a84e.jpg

Very Vanilla is for those who are in love with vanilla scents! This scent begins with top notes of French vanilla and whipped cream butter; followed by middle notes of cotton candy, chestnuts, and maple sugar; all sitting on a dry down of vanilla beans.

If you love Pink Sugar, Aquolina’s runaway hit perfume, then this one is for you! Top notes of smooth Jamaican vanilla and caramel are chased by Bergamot, Sicilian Orange, Raspberry, Fig leaves, Licorice, Strawberry Candy, Barbe-a-Papa, and musk with a dry down of Lily of the Valley, rich woods, and delicate powder. This is a very complex fragrance, at once childlike, playful, and mischievous…. with a touch of irresistible romance

I’ve had these up on my desk for about 2 weeks now & man are they great! These come in little twist up tubes & for only $2.99 & for how often I’ve been using them they have been really handy. I’ve also been keeping one in my purse because, well, it certainly won’t be spilling all over will it! The Pink Sugar scent definitely smells like my perfume & works wonderfully layered with it for extra staying power in the heat. The Very Vanilla is divine because WOW does it smell like fresh, strong pure vanilla & sugary goodness. I honestly can’t begin to describe how awesome it is.

I am so incredibly happy with the scents I chose & they layer beautifully with everything from Dior to Marc Jacobs to the new body sprays I’ve been loving for summer! I definitely smell them on my hands throughout the day which I also enjoy. I tend to apply them most frequently to the backs of my hands & elbows since I’ve been exfoliating a lot & these areas tend to be my dry spots. I even applied them to some eczema on my arm & it worked great! Vitamin E tends to really help so this was handy!

What do you think? Would you be willing to try a lotion bar instead of a cream or oil for moisturizing? You can pick these up from Simple Luxuries along with other natural items like candles, lip balms, shampoos, & more!

Sinful Shine with Gel Tech in Mardi Gras & Alfresco Review + Swatches

I used to cover Sinful Colors all the time but after their big blogger drama I tapered off a bit. Since it appears they have fixed things with those bloggers (at least to me knowledge!) I have been branching back into the brand. I got some new shades from target recently & then picked up these two shades from Walgreens for $2.99 each. I’m glad I did!
Application on these was the same so I’ll just cover it here! Each polish is 2 coats, not base or top coat. These definitely have a different formula & tons more shine. I wore Alfresco for about 4 days with minimal chipping so I was way impressed! That’s when I went out & bought Mardi Gras & did my swatches! These also both have superfine hidden shimmer but I think it more brightens the shade rather than making it look like a shimmer. They are definitely creams. Note that the handles are also different: instead of black they are a metallic.

Sinful Shine in Alfresco- This shade is a lovely, soft cornflower blue with maybe a touch of Carolina blue. In some lights, you almost see a touch of periwinkle. I love this shade & it is definitely flattering.

Sinful Shine in Mardi Gras- This honestly doesn’t say Mardi Gras to me at all but whatever. I love this shade, it is a nice melon. I think it is slightly more muted than in my photos.

I’m definitely surprised with the quality of these shades & I’ll be investing in more! The finish was lovely & the wear time better than average. Have you tried anything from the Sinful Shine line from Sinful Colors yet? Any shades I need to get my hands on?

Pure Natural Diva Fragrances in Pure, Natural, Diva, & Elixir

PR Sample.

I had someone say to me the other day, “Wow, you sure are writing more about fragrances!” Truth avid reader, pure truth. I love fragrance & am more likely to be found without foundation on than without a scent of some kind. They make me happy, life my spirits instantly, & let me show my personality since each one reacts to create a one of a kind combo with my skin. What’s not to love? Well for the folks looking for a more natural approach to fragrance I introduce you to the 4 scents I have to sample from Pure Natural Diva: Pure, Natural, Diva, & Elixir.
From Pure Natural Diva:
Having spent years in the natural space, It was remarkable to me that there wasn’t a perfume option on the market for people like me… or those with perfume allergies, and importantly parents of children who suffer from allergies or asthma.   I mean, we all like to smell good, right? Was it too much to ask for a true botanical product, that was sophisticated, elegant and didn’t make me feel like I was sacrificing style for choosing a synthetic free option?

What was a Diva to do?  The answer was clear and Pure Natural Diva Botanical Perfumes was born.  My work was cut out for me, but once you experience our Botanical Perfumes I’m sure you’ll agree – it was worth the effort. We have created a REAL botanical perfume that will allow women everywhere feel GOOD about smelling GREAT.

Pure is sensually uplifting, like sunny day in a mixed field of lemongrass and Lavender. Notes include uplifting cassie, soothing chamomile, lemon, lime and an Egyptian neroli.

Natural is fresh and inviting: Imagine a picnic in a rose-bordered citrus grove. Notes include a hint of clary sage, exalting pink grapefruit, Moroccan rose, and soothing ylang ylang.

Diva is full of soul—sultry and mysterious. Notes include natural musk derived from Ambrette, sinfully smooth New Caledonian Sandalwood, blended together in a lusciously robust Vanilla.

Elixir wakens the senses, like a lingering morning with an ocean view. Notes include aphrodisiacal vanilla, a hint of oakmoss, exquisite osmanthus, married with rejuvenating pink grapefruit and red mandarin.

I actually ended up liking all 4 of these scents but because I have so many I tend to group scents by when I’d use them. I hope that makes sense? My favorite was Elixir because it has a nice hit of vanilla which I think of as a year round note but the grapefruit pulled on me so it made it very wearable. This is one of those scents that can go from day to night seamlessly. I think Diva is more of a date night scent because it has a strong hit of vanilla mixed with the woods notes. Pure is very springy to me & smells really green on me as well. Natural was probably the only scent I don’t see myself really wearing because it just doesn’t smell as good on me. It pulls more like a cleanser & I like something a bit more feminine.

You can purchase this sampler from Pure natural Diva on her site here. I recommend doing that since the full sizes, although lovely, are a bit on the pricey side. You’ll definitely want to try them on your skin before jumping right in & the samples let you wear them 3-5 times each which is usually long enough for me to decide!
