Products for this post were provided by Revlon. All opinions are my own.

Ready for a Revlon overhaul? Revlon & BlogHer were kind enough to send me some products to review & demo for your guys. I have some nail products, eye shadows, eye liners, and foundations. After putting them through the ringer, putting together a pretty fall look, and playing around I have some final thoughts & lots of pictures to share! Oh…and a sweepstakes at the bottom! Woohoo! Keep reading to see more and participate!

Revlon ® ColorStay™ Longwear Nail Enamel
“Gel-like shine, no light required.”
I am a big fan of the Revlon ColorStay Longwear line (check out my past review + nail art!) and was more than happy to add some new shades to my collection. When using the Revlon ColorStay Gel-Smooth Base Coat & Gel-Shine Top Coat you can get up to 11 days of color then use your regular nail polish remover effortlessly. Presto chango & you’re on to a new shade without any damage to the nail! I love the base & top coats & use them frequently. The aforementioned shades are Sequin, Bold Sangria, & Red Carpet. All 3 apply effortlessly ( I used 2 coats but can usually get away with one!) over the base coat & have a brilliant shine after the topcoat.

On my index finger & pinky is Sequin (metallic silver), on my middle finger is Red Carpet (raspberry toned red), & Bold Sangria (red toned wine) is on my ring finger.

Revlon ColorStay™ 16 Hour Eyeshadow
“All day luxurious color that doesn’t crease, fade or smudge.”
I received three quads in the shades Sun Swept, Harmonious, & Free Spirit. While there is varied pigmentation & formulas, I find these are nice for daytime use. They seem to be very buildable so I recommend using the applicator included for denser application & then blending or highlighting with a fluffy brush. My personal favorite is Harmonious, which totally screams fall! Tutorial at the end of this post!

Revlon ColorStay™ Eye Liner
“Beautiful color that lasts all day.”
I have used Revlon ColorStay eyeliners for years, especially on my waterline. The formula is a bit stiff compared to some but that is what makes it so perfect to seal in for a long wearing look. You can create a fine or thick line, comes with a sharpener, & (my favorite part!) it is an automatic pencil. This is a steal for an eye liner that glides effortlessly on the waterline & I always have the shade “Black Brown” on hand.

Shades swatched left to right: Revlon ColorStay™ Eyeliners in Charcoal, Black, Brown, & Black/Brown.

 photo RevlonBlogHerFall2013ReviewColorstayWhippedFoundation011_zps07ff25e2.jpg
Revlon ColorStay Whipped™ Crème Makeup
“Flawless finish, all day wear.”
This formula is whipped & buildable to full coverage. Promises all day comfort & 24 hour wear. If you know me then you know I absolutely love this foundation. I use this year-round for an easy full coverage look that doesn’t cake. Having combination/dry skin is really tough because most long wear type products cater to oily but this somehow keeps both spectrums of skin healthy! I can’t rave about this enough & I’ve bought 3 jars so far. Yes. Obsessed. This foundation also comes in a nice glass jar with a stopper (pictured above) to help keep everything in place.
 photo RevlonBlogHerFall2013ReviewColorstayUltimatSuedeLipstick011_zps3be119de.jpg

Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede™ Lipstick

“Instantly moisturizing; All day color.”

The Revlon Ultimate Suede Lipsticks promise to be instantly moisturizing, last all day, & contain nourishing ingredients like Shea butter, aloe and vitamin E. These are really lovely shades! Backstage is a pink toned cranberry, Muse is a vibrant pink, & Finale looks like kind of a mod orange-y red.

 photo RevlonColorstayQuadHarmoniousFallTutorial_zps24d99c76.jpg

I decided to come up with a look where I could share some of my fall beauty tips for easy wearable eye shadow looks. For this look I decided to go with a traditionally colored (& a bit creative of course!) daytime look for fall using the Revlon ColorStay 16 Hour Eye Shadow quad in Harmonious & my favorite Revlon ColorStay eyeliner in Black Brown. Switching to a brown or black/brown shade helps make this look less harsh in the daytime & a bit easier to get away with. It also blends out nicely using the darkest eye shadow shade which is a lovely brown.

To get the look start with the lovely green shade & pat along the lid. Take the peachy orange shade on your inner corner to brighten up. Apply a bit of the dark brown at the very edges. Repeat steps on your bottom lash line. Blend. Apply the lightest shade which is kind of oatmeal toned as your highlight. Apply your Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner in Black/Brown to the inner rims & 2/3rds of the way across top lash line lightly. Sweep a bit of the brown eye shadow over to smudge out. This makes the line look softer.

So what do you think? I’d love to hear what your beauty tips & tricks are! Which favorite beauty tip secret would you like to reveal? Leave it in the comments below and you could win a $50 Visa gift card!

PR Sample.

Have you ever used Ruby Wing nail polish? Color Club’s sister brand has created shades that change color in sunlight which is just too fun. I’ve always loved the idea of color shifts but sadly I haven’t had much luck. Ruby Wing blew my mind in comparison to all the others I’ve tried & I’m super excited to show you these fall perfect shades! I used Color club base coat & no top coat for thee swatches below.

 photo RubyWingCupcakeNailPolishColorChangingPolishReviewSwatchesDoux01_zps439cf105.jpg
Shade- Pink toned sheer beige with pink/purple shimmer.

 photo RubyWingCupcakeNailPolishColorChangingPolishReviewSwatchesDoux02_zps777a61f5.jpg photo RubyWingCupcakeNailPolishColorChangingPolishReviewSwatchesDoux03_zps8b0ce213.jpg
Sun- Greyed sheer purple with purple shimmer.

Ruby Wing Color Changing Polish in Doux- 3 coats. Sheer color. I really should have put this over white or maybe a lavender but I wanted to show it on its own so you can get a feel for the shade. It is really pretty in person but I’ll definitely layer it next time!

 photo RubyWingCupcakeNailPolishColorChangingPolishReviewSwatchesStrawberryShortcake01_zpsccbb85c7.jpg
 photo RubyWingCupcakeNailPolishColorChangingPolishReviewSwatchesStrawberryShortcake02_zpse311db11.jpg
Shade- Clear with gold, holo, & light pink micro hexes. A bit gritty but lays evenly.

 photo RubyWingCupcakeNailPolishColorChangingPolishReviewSwatchesStrawberryShortcake03_zps43b41e08.jpg
 photo RubyWingCupcakeNailPolishColorChangingPolishReviewSwatchesStrawberryShortcake04_zps635082a3.jpg
Sun- Pink/cranberry sheer base with gold, holo, & light pink micro hexes.

Ruby Wing Color Changing Polish in Strawberry Shortcake- 2 coats.I really absolutely love this shade. Nice glitter coverage & an even application, no balding which is often found in shades like this. I love it in the shade or sun & it definitely feel wonderfully fall! The holo beautifully pops!

 photo RubyWingCupcakeNailPolishColorChangingPolishReviewSwatchesMainShift_zps26cc0eec.jpg

These both smell SO good! To me, Strawberry Shortcake smells like my old school Strawberry Shortcake scented dolly & Doux smells like sweet fruit of some kind. I know that sounds a bit odd but I really like it! These are my first shades & I’m so happy with the shift, it is really fast once you hit the sunshine! The change is so fast which is completely different from the few other brands I’ve tried. Definitely impressive!

You can purchase Ruby Wing products online at RubyWing.com. You can also like Ruby Wing on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.

Beauty Box 5 for September 2013 featuring Bella Pierre, Skiin, & More!

I’m late, I know! My 5 year wedding anniversary was this past weekend so I had things scheduled & such. I still want to show you what I got in my September Beauty Box 5 though so here we go! This month was another seriously cool box with a fall-perfect eyeshadow color, hair product, skincare, lip care, & a really neat makeup remover tool!

 photo BeautyBox5September201302_zps921829ef.jpg

 photo BeautyBox5September201303_zpsd7a4b36e.jpg
Body Drench Lip Drench in Raspberry- This is a really nice chapstick! The moisturizers in it work really well without being greasy or too thick. The raspberry scent/flavor is also quite nice!
Fine Featherheads Fly Ties- I really like this kind of hair tie & these are great aquatic shades. I love them because you can wear them on your wrist & make them almost a bracelet type accessory- not a hair tie!
Skiin Shop Skin Smoothing & Soothing Eye Cream- I have a full review of this eye cream & a discount code located right here! I really enjoyed using it during the day & this is a very nice size sample since you really don’t need much.
Every Beauty Makeup Remover Pads w/ Argan Oil- These are SO cool! These are oober soft & all you need is water which is so handy. I think these would be excellent for travel! They are infused with argan oil so they smell great & leave my skin feeling moisturized!
 photo BeautyBox5September201304_zps76f10939.jpg
Bella Pierre Cosmetics Celebration Shimmer Powder- This is a really unique formula & I don’t have anything in my collection quite like it. This is almost some kind of glitter & pigment hybrid, a bit denser but also very reflective. This shade is a gorgeous golden bronze & I prefer applying it wet over primer. Lovely!

I’m really quite happy with my box this month! It seems like they hit lots of different categories & introduced some new brands I haven’t gotten to try before. I’m quite thrilled with the makeup remover wipes, I really need to get some more for travel! Beauty Box came through for me yet again & I’m really happy with the selection!
Beauty Box 5 is a monthly beauty subscription service. If you’re interested in signing up please use my link, I seriously appreciate it!: Use my BB5 link! <3

Garden of Silver Review & $100 Giveaway!

October 7, 2013 By StephanieLouise 297Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F10%2Fgarden-of-silver-review-100-giveaway.htmlGarden+of+Silver+Review+%26+%24100+Giveaway%212013-10-07+20%3A37%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F10%2Fgarden-of-silver-review-100-giveaway.html

PR Sample.

Love jewelry? Me too! Garden of Silver has a seriously fun perspective: combining nature with metal. I love natural looking jewelry year round, they’re both season-less & timeless. I chose a beautiful summer piece because I get pretty bad seasonal depression, what could be better than wearing something so “sunny” (pun majorly intended!) throughout the colder months! There are lots of pieces to choose from & if you happen to be the lucky $100 winner…then you’ll get to pick your own!

 photo GardenofSilverSunflowerNecklace01_zps0d8d209e.jpg

From the Garden of Silver site:
I design and create each piece in the Garden of Silver jewelry line in my art/jewelry studio on the north shore of Long Island, New York. My jewelry is created using both fine and sterling silver along with touches of gold and also the obscure Japanese alloy, shibuichi.

I have an extensive organic garden that is both serene and stimulating. I find it peaceful to work in the garden and can be found outside among the flowers, vegetables, herbs and weeds with my sketchbook throughout the growing season. My drawings and paintings have always had a botanical theme which has evolved into the Garden of Silver jewelry line.  Many of the jewelry pieces are created by hand carving into wax and then cast into sterling silver. I also etch and emboss the metals to create texture and relief and utilize traditional metalworking techniques as well.

 photo GardenofSilverSunflowerNecklace03_zps3263f711.jpg
 photo GardenofSilverSunflowerNecklace05_zps434a5b0d.jpg

My necklace (located on the Garden of Silver site here!) is beautiful, with a classic chain, nice latch, & beautiful workmanship. You can really see the details in her work! Really fabulous & even better in person! I love this design but I also really love this Lotus Pond Pendant Necklace, Glimmer Earrings, & these Cyprus Earrings! Honestly, I think you’ll have a really hard time choosing!

This giveaway is US only & good for $100 on the Garden of Silver website. Big thanks to Eileen of Garden of Silver for this gracious giveaway!

If you love winter-esque type shades then I think you will really dig this post! Although both of these shades are part of the Fall 2013 Color Club collection they remind me of cold weather. Love them both which is so nice! Keep reading to check them out!

Color Club Fall 2013 Silver Lake- An easy, very light grey cream. 2 coats + Color Club top coat.

 photo ColorClubWilliamsburgSwatchesReview02_zps31bf6998.jpg
 photo ColorClubWilliamsburgSwatchesReview01_zps2448e203.jpg

Color Club Fall 2013 Williamsburg- Dark navy base with blue glass flecks throughout. It looks almost black but the flecks are a nice bright blue. 2 coats + Color Club top coat.

Williamsburg is a new favorite, totally stunning. Absolutely glowing & classy. Silver Lake is so light I thought it was actually white when I first saw it! Nice shade to add to a collection. I really like the formula on both of these which is great, often lighter grey type shades aren’t my favorites!

You can purchase Color Club polishes online through shopcolorclub.com & in select Bed, Bath, & Beyond stores. You can follow Color Club on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, & Youtube. Enjoy!

Monster N-TUNE HD On-Ear Headphones in Candy Tangerine Review + Giveaway!

 photo NTuneMonsterHeadphonesReview04_zps6129f2eb.jpg

PR Sample. Sponsored post.

For awhile now I’ve been on the hunt for an awesome set of headphones to start editing with. For those that have been around for awhile, I do have a youtube channel. Sadly when I got really sick I was able to keep up the blogging but not the videos, my voice was just too sick. Ever since I promised to get that back on track & to do that I needed an amazing pair of headphones that would withstand my rough household & provide amazing sound quality since I’m partially deaf. Tall order.

 photo NTuneMonsterHeadphonesReview01_zps245154ff.jpg

Needless to say when BlogHer partnered with the king of audio Monster I was in. I’ve never paid a lot for headphones, usually I just use them to workout with or listen to my audio books. I think that’s what was stalling me: How do I pick an expensive pair when I don’t really know what I need? Luckily, Monster came out with their N-Tude “Headphones with Attitude” & now I know why they are absolutely worth the price.

 photo NTuneMonsterHeadphonesReview02_zps8127ab45.jpg

Obviously I could go into all the tech speak like techno noise isolation but that really isn’t my knowledge base. I don’t like to pretend I know all that jazz when you can just visit their site & read it for yourself. So what am I going to tell you about? Well, how about the things that make these headphones great for me personally using my own jargon?

1. First, the N-Tune Candy Collection colors are just fun. I am always drawn to color because it makes things so much easier for me to find. I have them in the shade Candy Tangerine but there are also shades like blue, green, purple, & red. Style!

2. They are incredibly durable. In fact, they claim to be virtually indestructible! You can even bend & twist the head band part (see I’m not technical!) without breakage! When you are clumsy, have lots of animals, a husband with very little attention to detail, & have a knack for misplacing items you’ll be psyched these are not only a bright orange metallic but pretty much unbreakable from a normal standpoint.

 photo NTuneMonsterHeadphonesReview05_zpsc39901c4.jpg

3. They fit! I have tiny ears, I mean pretty small. Normal in-ear headphones make my ears ache unless they are extremely small & even then I can’t stand them after awhile. I prefer headphones like this for extended use but often they are too big & engulf my ears awkwardly. These are secure but also extremely comfortable. Check out how cushy these ear pieces are, lush right? I wouldn’t wear them for hourse otherwise!

4. The sound quality is really great, even & easy to control. I always like headphones that drown out other noise because I’m partially deaf in one of my ears so that can be especially distracting. I also prefer that I’m not disturbing others & when wearing them people nearby don’t hear thing.

5. Let’s talk about the cord in general shall we? Not only is it tangle-free (rejoice!) but it includes a little button that lets me take calls when listening on my phone. Have a call? Push the button to answer. End call? Push button to hang up! So easy even I can do it!

So there you have it! I’m loving these headphones so much, my only complaint would be that I wish they came with a carrying case of some kind. They do come with a nice bag that is supposed to remove fingerprints & such though & since they’re “virtually indestructible” I guess they figured it works!

 photo NTuneMonsterHeadphonesReview03_zps50d378fa.jpg

To win your very own pair of N-Tune headphones (valued at $150),  read all about the Monster headphones here and let me know in the comments of this post which color you prefer. If you love to eat healthy but your family doesn’t always comply you have to get a bit more creative. I grew up eating lots of different types of fruits & veggies…hubby not so much! I’ve pretty much hidden them in our food since day one for added nutrition. I love having recipes on hand that I call “Pantry Recipes” where I can whip the ingredients straight from my stocked pantry. That’s where this recipe was born! Along with The Wisest Kid in the Whole World™, Campbell’s soup has compiled tons of tasty recipes that kids will love!: http://goo.gl/mT93RO

 photo CambellsTomatoBasilCornbreadRecipe01_zps565d3d5a.jpg

As long as you have a stocked pantry of Campbell’s soups you have an excellent base for so many recipes. Plus, if you have kids then you know what it is like to have to come up with something FAST! Sometimes this basil tomato cornbread recipe & a nice cup of soup are the perfect, comforting meal! Tomato soup is perfect for kids because you can put on any kind of kid-friendly toppings & find lots of fun dunkable treats to go with it!

 photo CambellsTomatoBasilCornbreadRecipe03_zpscd7a68cf.jpg

Basil Tomato Cornbread Recipe
1 cup white flour
1 cup coarse corn meal
1 can of condensed Campbell’s Tomato Soup
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup corn kernels
2 teaspoons baking powder
3 tablespoons butter, softened
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons dried basil
cooking spray
Optional- sun-dried tomatoes for garnish

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

2. Spray 9 inch baking pan with cooking spray. I personally use a longer pan for smaller/thinner bars with a divider so all of mine are the same size. You can also use a cast iron skillet.

3. Mix dry ingredients well then add milk, egg, & chop in butter. Add can of Campbell’s condensed soup. No need to add water, sugar or salt since it is all in this handy can! Combine all ingredients but do not over mix.

4. Pour batter into pan & place in over for about 15 minutes. Check bread with toothpick. Preferably serve warm or freeze for later use.

For the sun-dried tomato decoration, top each section before backing with a piece. It won’t affect the cooking process!

Some other options to add in are cheese, peppercorns, Tabasco, honey to sweeten, & just about anything else that appeals to you or your kids! Tasty & easy! Remember to check out more recipes from The Wisest Kid in the Whole World™ & Campbell’s!

Fall is here (at least in nail polish land!) & greens are just some of my favorites! You’ll notice I don’t always do reviews on single limited edition polishes but Essie Vested Interest deserved some details. Keep reading!

Essie in Vested Interest- A greyed cool toned green. 2 coats opaque. Color Club topcoat added.

I tried to take the photos at a variety of angles & lighting because this is kind of an awesomely strange tone. I love it. green is just amazing for me normally & this one has a great formula when not all Essie products do for me personally. I absolutely recommend this shade, it screams fall & I honestly think it will be pretty in spring too with some pastels.

What do you think? Have you checked out the limited edition Vested Interest from Essie?

I tend to really love the limited edition shades from Sally Hansen (I just recently reviewed Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Fall 2013 Nail Polishes in Malbec & Gold Roses!) so I guess it isn’t a surprise I already have two more to show you. These are 2 of the Fall 2013 Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Polishes in the shades Chop Chop Copper & Jet Set Jade. Keep reading to see what I thought!

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Polish in Jet Set Jade- An teal toned emerald with a blue leaning shimmer. 2 coats to opaque. Seche Vite topcoat.

Overall, I’m pretty happy with these shades! They were were thin & had me worried on the first coat but the 2nd fixed it! I didn’t see any other shades I HAD to have but if you dig fall metallics there were quite a few more availible! I’m a sucker for copper & emerald so these called my name! Plus, the both have a nice & somewhat unexpected shimmer! Divine!

What do you guys think? Love these shades or are they just not for you?

Orly Matte FX Nail Polishes in Pink + Green Flakie Swatches & Review

October 1, 2013 By StephanieLouise 303Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F10%2Forly-matte-fx-nail-polishes-in-pink.htmlOrly+Matte+FX+Nail+Polishes+in+Pink+%2B+Green+Flakie+Swatches+%26+Review2013-10-01+13%3A01%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2013%2F10%2Forly-matte-fx-nail-polishes-in-pink-green-flakie-swatches-review.html

I bought it.

When you say “FLAKIE!” I say “YES!” so obviously I had to snap up these two matte flakie toppers from Orly. I believe these are limited edition & yes, they do dry matte. If you love glitter, fairies, whimsy, or flakies then you really should keep reading 😉

Left to right: ORLY Matte FX Nail polish in Pink (1 coat), Green (1 coat), Pink (3 coats), & Green (3 coats).

When swatching flakies I think it is really important to show them over black so you can really see the shift as much as possible since that is what a lot of people prefer. On my pointer & middle finger I used 1 even coat then on my ring finger & pinky I used 3 coats over Color Club Where’s the Soiree.

Up close you can see these are really nice “shattered” type flakies which I like. You can see Pink has pretty much every color in there where Green to me should’ve been named blue since it leaned that way the majority of the time. 3 coats was a bit goopy but I think if I had been more precise they would have been more even.

I really love the look of these over black but I thought it would be nice to show them over some fall type shades as well & with top coat. Enjoy!

Orly Matte FX Nail Polishes in Pink Flakie Topcoat- A flakie topcoat that flashes shades of pink, tangerine, green, purple & dries matte. One medium coat over Essie Vested Interest.

Personally I prefer them with top coat because that makes them really flash but matte is fun too. Again I call that Green a BLUE but whatever man, whateves. Pretty shades of flakie glory, I’m a happy girl. These are limited edition & I found mine at Sallys.

What do you think? Are you a flakie fanatic? Will you be scoping these out?
