Glossybox has quickly become one of my favorite subscriptions & I definitely look forward to unwrapping it every month! While a bit more expensive- Glossybox tends to offer larger sizes, high end brands, & often many full sizes as well. It is a hit.

The Smashbox Master Class 3 Palette is my Favorite! + Eyeshadow Look!

I’ve made a major error & I need to apologize. I’m so sorry I’ve fallen in love with a palette that has already sold out online except for Amazon. The Smashbox Master Class 3 Palette is limited edition & the first in the series I’ve picked up. The other palettes were pretty but just not what I was looking for. They weren’t as pretty as this one from what I can remember & something about the packaging just wasn’t right. They weren’t as travel-friendly which is important to me for when I actually travel. The Maybelline Master Hi-Light Powdered products fall into either the blush or bronzer category. I believe there have been a few limited edition releases but there are 6 total in the permanent range. Shall we talk about my love of glitter & glitz? I think we should! Nothing screams holidays to me quite like an abundance of shimmer & glitters. Lorac Lustre Drops are nothing new to me- I pick them up whenever possible. I actually reviewed a similar limited edition set last year around this time which you can see here. My Favorite Lipstick for Over 5 Years & Other Favorites

Today I wanted to take a break from holiday posts just for a moment to bring in a post I’ve had waiting in the wings since before I even cut my hair. I took these photos when I realized I was using some of my favorite products in my collection & realized this would probably be helpful to share. My collection is pretty vast so the go-to items are really important to me. & some have been around for ages. I just love favorites don’t you?

Have you ever picked up a lipstick & thought “I could wear this with everything…”? It is rare for me. I really do switch out lip colors seasonally & quite often so it is a pretty big deal. If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile now then you likely know I grew up raiding my mother’s Lancome stash. It was a pretty big deal. Although I know for a fact I’ve been using this lipstick for 5 years at a minimum…it is likely more like 10. I think it was 3-5 years ago that my mom & I randomly started a conversation talking about our favorite purse lipstick…& it was the same one. The one I’m wearing above is Lancome Color Design Lipstick in Love It! which is probably the best thing ever. I mean- that name? Was it not meant to be a favorite? Butter London Lippy Moisture Matte Lipsticks Swatches & Review

Has anything hit harder in the lip arena lately than the matte trend? Matte lipsticks are so hard to get right. For my dry lips I have to pay attention to moisture content & something that glides on beautifully. I need something that is beautiful, easy to apply, & won’t make my lips look like the Sahara. Is that too much to ask? Is it really?

This morning I woke up to the heater being off. I left my slippers downstairs so I had to walk barefoot on the tile. I then proceeded to freeze my hands when washing them. Winter is definitely here. VOLOOM Means the End of Flat Hair!

Hair is such a touchy subject for me- rarely are products targeted towards me. Most people fall into a normal category of haircare but yours truly has fine & thick hair. Rarely is there a product aimed at me because I am all alone in my hair universe sobbing over flat hair that is moisturized or crazy hair that holds a style. Choices are hard.

Because I chopped off my once very long locks I’m still re-learning my hair basics. How do I deal with hair tickling my neck again? How do I handle hair short enough to get into lipgloss? & finally how do I make my short hair less flat? When my hair was long I just went with it because hey- that’s a lot of hair. I figured if it got weighed down it wasn’t a big deal. Now that it is so much shorter & thicker I’m finding excuses more difficult to come by.
