“Orange Grove” Eye Look

July 12, 2011 By StephanieLouise 9781 Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F07%2Forange-grove-eye-look.html%22Orange+Grove%22+Eye+Look2011-07-12+23%3A09%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F07%2Forange-grove-eye-look.html

I created this look using LA Colors Aquatic Paradise palette and their LA Colors Baked Eyeshadow Quad in Asteroid. I used one shade form each. The baked eyeshadow, I used it wet.

Mani of the Day 7/10/2011

July 11, 2011 By StephanieLouise 979Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F07%2Fmani-of-day-7102011.htmlMani+of+the+Day+7%2F10%2F20112011-07-11+01%3A20%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F07%2Fmani-of-the-day-7102011.html

Hey guys! So this was from OPI’s Alice in Wonderland Collection awhile back, but I adore it. When it comes to reds, I think there are too many duplicates out there. I guess its a tad hard to tell in the picture, but this has an orange undertone thats very visible which makes it unlike my others. I also love that it only takes 2 coats until perfection. I AM wearing a top coat over it though: Beauty Secrets Fast Dry Top Coat. So here is “Off With Her Red!” what do you think?

Beautisol Haul/Review Part 1: Need I Glow More Face Tanner

July 10, 2011 By StephanieLouise 9801 Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F07%2Fbeautisol-haulreview-part-1-need-i-glow.htmlBeautisol+Haul%2FReview+Part+1%3A+Need+I+Glow+More+Face+Tanner2011-07-10+22%3A55%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F07%2Fbeautisol-haulreview-part-1-need-i-glow-more-face-tanner.html

FYI: Originally, I was planning doing these as one large post….but then it would be a REALLY large post, so now I’ve broken it down into 2 separate posts!

Ok so if you watched my June Favorites video, then you saw this was in my favorites and I was looking a few shades darker! If you missed it, go HERE tanner, self tanner, self-tanner, . Beautisol was kind enough to send me this face tanner, and I am in love! I normally have a ton of problems finding a good face tanner because of where I live, sensitive/oily skin, and the fact that I’m so incredibly light naturally because I’m an SPF lover. This has changed all of that!

So here is a card that came with it, I just wanted to make sure you guys saw you would get all the details about BOTH face tanner options.
Obviously you can’t read it, but here’s the low-down:

Need I Glow More?™ is the first ever skin-type-specific face self-tanning lotion. Our Normal-Dry-Sensitive formulation is for those with dry or sensitive skin.

What’s included:
•1.5 fl. oz. Face Self-Tanning Lotion For Normal-Dry-Sensitive Skin Types •FREE Application Guide

What it does:
•Moisturizes, hydrates, and revives the skin
•Delivers a natural-looking, golden-brown tan within hours
•Provides instant color so you look bronzed and picture-perfect immediately, all while your long-lasting tan processes underneath

Features & benefits:
•Created specifically for normal to dry or sensitive skin types
•Infused with soothing ingredients to hydrate the skin
•Formulated with ChroNOline (Caprooyl Tetrapeptide-3), an anti-aging peptide, to help minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
•Lightweight formula prevents the skin from feeling heavy or greasy
•Pure Scent odor-eliminating technology reduces processing odor
•Guide color allows you to see exactly where you have applied the product and where you may have missed, reducing streaking and application mishaps
•Paraben-free, propylene gycol-free, sodium laurel/laureth sulfate-free, and cruelty-free (PETA certified)

They also have a dry/sensitive skin version which I think is awesome. I’ve never had a specific choice of face tanners before, its genius! Another amazing thing about this product? Absolutely no weird self-tanner smell! AT ALL!!!! It actually reminds me of a lightly scented lotion!

Here’s the coloring of the product inside the tube:

I love that its dark so you instantly see results AND you can see how well you have rubbed it in to make sure it is all even. They even include a pair of gloves which I really appreciate because normally I go out an buy my own.

Also included is this extremely helpful how-to card for the face tanner. This will be AMAZING for first-time users and frequent users! These steps are essential so its great they are included! There is also information or picture on the back of each of these cards. On the back of the Face Self-Tanner Guide card, you learn how to prep and maintain your tan! I’ve never gotten a product with so much information or advice!

My Results: This product delivered in every way, even some I wasn’t sure about. I never thought I’d find a tanner that smelled GOOD! I will never have to smell that self-tanner scent again, its a dead giveaway! This color didn’t turn me orange and I immediately saw color which I loved. It lasted longer than I thought it would as well as I only applied it once. I applied it to my face once so I could test both the last power and if it faded evenly. It faded very naturally which is a must-have in a face tanner for me. I have been using and the color is also very buildable. In the end, this product works great and I know I will be buying more! Review: ELF Studio Eye Transformer

July 10, 2011 By StephanieLouise 9811 Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F07%2Freview-elf-studio-eye-transformer.htmlReview%3A+ELF+Studio+Eye+Transformer2011-07-10+18%3A46%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F07%2Freview-elf-studio-eye-transformer.html

Morning guys! So I’ve had this product from ELF for awhile now, but I bought it in a huge haul so it didn’t get the attention it deserves. Now, it will!

What ELF says about this product:
Description: Convert your shadows into brand new shades with these four opalescent shadows. Wear alone, under, over or in combination with your other makeup. The opal tones transform your dark color into a new shimmering hue.

How to:

  • Wear alone or in combination with your favorite eyeshadow or liner color to transform the shade.
  • Simply blend in with other color to create your unique hue.

Direct swatches. From Top to Bottom: green, yellow/golden, pink, and blue.

Overall,  think this is a really need idea for a product. Its a little bit chalky at first, but they blend out. I have tried them over both eyeshadow and eyeliner, and I think its a really need effect. Gives your shade more dimension! I used it over gel liner and it really stuck and stayed put. I would really like to see this product in jewel tones, I would die for a sapphire blue or deep emerald green!

So here I put the three shades over a bronzy-brown Almay shade so you could see the difference!

Top shade is the original eyeshadow on its own. Next are the Eye Transformer colors in order from green, yellow/gold, pink, then blue.

So what do you guys think of this product and its concept? Have you tried it yet?

Spoil Yourself Saturday: Earth Therapeutics Pillow Mist

Spoil Yourself Saturday- Products you don’t need, but you should reward yourself with.
Earth Therapeutics Elixir of Dreams Pillow Mist

I purchased this from Kohls on a whim when my husband was deployed and I was having sleeping issues. Ever since that first bottle, I have repurchased this whenever I ran out. Does it help me sleep better? Honestly, I don’t know. What I DO know is that  comforting scent for me to snuggle into when I go to bed. I spray this on my pillow and sometimes lightly mist it over our bedding. Kohls has a lot of sales, but I still have the tag on it so I can see I paid $9.00 for this. I also love it when I travel, reminds me of being in my own bed. This beats laundry detergent scent without a doubt.

Review: The Body Needs Eye Candy Eyeshadow Collection

July 8, 2011 By StephanieLouise 9842 Commentshttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F07%2Freview-body-needs-eyeshadows-bright.htmlReview%3A+The+Body+Needs+Eye+Candy+Eyeshadow+Collection2011-07-08+04%3A02%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F07%2Freview-the-body-needs-eye-candy-eyeshadow-collection.html

Ok so when I was surfing the web last week I stumbled onto The Body Needs website. I’m always a little wary of new companies, but I decided to pick up some of their eyeshadows anyway. These were on clearance, but they have similar stuff that comes in  and out. If you’re interested in buying some of these products, they usually have sale codes and stuff so watch out for them! I also have another set I’m super excited to show you guys! Anyway, along with these two sets, I got a jar for only 1 penny! They call it their penny sample sale? The colors change often I guess because I’ve seen them have 3 different colors since I ordered. These are all without primer! They’re awesomely pigmented over my ELF eyelid primer! The penny sample is the eyeshadow labeled “Purple Pop” and yes it is the same size as the others!

I am not affiliated with them in any way, I bought these on a whim haha.

Review: Amuse 24 Color Shimmer Powder

July 7, 2011 By StephanieLouise 9852 Commentshttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F07%2Freview-amuse-24-color-shimmer-powder.htmlReview%3A+Amuse+24+Color+Shimmer+Powder2011-07-07+21%3A42%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F07%2Freview-amuse-24-color-shimmer-powder.html

So I bought this off Cherry Culture awhile back, but wanted to use it a bit more before review. I actually rather like it! I am not affiliated with them, so the above link is to the exact product I purchased. If you’re into shimmers, this is a really cool design! All of these photos are WITHOUT primer, so they get even better with it! I have also used these with a wet brush with some pretty impressive results. The colors are in order from outer circle to mid and then finally the 4 center colors. Enjoy!

So here is my quickie water marbling! I mostly was just testing these colors for future marbling. Stay tuned for more!
FYI: I use the tape method to get rid of some of the mess pre-marbling 🙂

Left to Right: Sinful Colors in Pink Forever, NYC in Times Square Tangerine Creme, Icing Nail Polish from Claire’s in Butta.

So what do you guys think? Any color combos you’d like to see? Any of you use this method?

You didn’t think I could pass up a holiday did you? Oh no, I’m a military wife! I’ve got to show some red, white, and blue! I figured I would try something different from everyone else though, a little more artsy.

I know we’re checking out fireworks tomorrow, how about you guys? I’m currently battling youtube for my June Favorites Video so stay tuned for that!
