Fragrance Review: Sula Rollerball in Blackberry Blush

November 26, 2011 By StephanieLouise 8971 Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F11%2Ffragrance-review-sula-rollerball-in.htmlFragrance+Review%3A+Sula+Rollerball+in+Blackberry+Blush2011-11-26+14%3A40%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F11%2Ffragrance-review-sula-rollerball-in-blackberry-blush.html

$18 for a Rollerball.

So I picked this up at Ulta ages ago, took my picture, then have been in love with it ever sense. I always have at least one fragrance in my purse (usually more like a mini spray & a solid too) because I pet sit & frequently touch up. When its this bitter and cold, it normally throws off my routine! This was a very unexpected scent for me but its intoxicating.
Ulta’s Description:
Blackberry Blush: Simple and fresh, Blackberry Blush gives you a yummy, fruity aura. Stiletto Musk: Captivating and simple, Stiletto Musk exudes warmth and sexiness. Features notes of musk, amber and dusky florals.

Not your everyday citrus or too youthful smelling, its a new twist on the warmth of berries. They say you can layer it with other fragrances but eh…that’s not for me. Too complicated & I think its perfect as it is. Please keep in mind that fragrances will smell different on everyone due to our skin’s chemistry, but I definitely think this is a must try. If you’re unsure, definitely wait for a fragrance deal! Ulta has some great ones back to back usually. I added this to my basket when I was picking up another fragrance to add up to $50 for a freebie.

– 1 Avocado & Oatmeal Facial Clay Mask (Satchel Size)
– 1 Cucumber Peel-Off Facial Mask (Satchel Size)

– 1 Freeman Hand Towel
Mini Review of the Prize:

All in all, this is a perfect prize pack for this time of year! The bag is a great hanging organizer with lots of pockets and one very large (from top to bottom!) section in the back where the towel fits perfectly. Personally, I like bringing my own face towel and wash cloth when I travel so this is great! The Chocolate & Strawberry Clay Mask is definitely one of my favorites. I am a big fan of soothing my sweet cravings without the caloric guilt. This reminds me of those romantic chocolate dipped strawberries but in an effective mask. You’ll want to eat it.

I’ve been putting together a review for the Cucumber Peel-Off Mask (one of my favorites!) which I’ve been using as long as I can remember. The Avocado & Oatmeal Clay Mask smells earthy and natural but definitely draws out impurities! Lastly, the shower cap. This seriously arrived JUST as I needed a new one to travel with for the holidays! Coincidence? Check out my review for Pssssst Dry Shampoo as well, if you win you’ll recieve a coupon!

Review: Freeman Peppermint & Plum Soothing Liquid Foot Powder

November 21, 2011 By StephanieLouise 8991 Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F11%2Freview-freeman-peppermint-plum-soothing.htmlReview%3A+Freeman+Peppermint+%26+Plum+Soothing+Liquid+Foot+Powder2011-11-21+13%3A47%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F11%2Freview-freeman-peppermint-plum-soothing-liquid-foot-powder.html

Image from Freeman Beauty.
What Freeman Beauty Says: This unique formula starts as a lotion to soften your feet and transforms into a light silky powder to keep feet comfortable and refreshed.  Extracts of Plum and Peppermint energize.

My Impressions: Talk about a winter must-have! So this lotion moisturizes…while keeping my feet dry. Strange combo but definitely what my boots and slippers were calling for. See, in my house, we have heating wars. I run hot while he runs cold, so whoever attacks the thermostat without the other noticing wins. I’ve been wearing lots of boots which is great for outdoors, but eventually my internal thermometer meets all the extra winter gear. I either have dry feet or sweaty feet. Ew much?

Basically, you put it on like regular lotion. You rub it in and it soaks in nicely. Then it coats your foot in a superfine powder, like a high-end locker room secret. Scented with plum and peppermint, it isn’t your average athlete product. I can’t wait to use it in summer when the humidity here is ridiculous! Also, it doesn’t leave my socks all slimy like some of my lotions!

Where You Can Get It: You can get this off Freeman’s website HERE for only $3.79 but you can also search the site for stores near you carrying Freeman products!

*Item(s) sent to me for review are featured in this post. This in no way guarantees coverage. All of my reviews and reactions are honest, I would never recommend something that didn’t deserve it. For more information, please see my disclosure policy in the top bar.*

Mani of the Day: It’s All in the Cut from Wet n Wild

As I say goodbye to my Ice Baby Collection posts, I am going out with a bang. It’s All in the Cut is an expected combination for winter, but it works. This is a silver toned lavender micro glitter with pink-toned rose gold hex glitter mixed throughout. I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect rose gold polish & I wish I could extract each of these glitters on their own, they’re that gorgeous! This is 2 coats of perfection, expect to see this again in spring as well!

Mani of the Day: 24 Carrats from Wet n Wild

November 15, 2011 By StephanieLouise 9011 Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F11%2Fmani-of-day-24-carrats-from-wet-n-wild.htmlMani+of+the+Day%3A+24+Carrats+from+Wet+n+Wild2011-11-15+13%3A55%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F11%2Fmani-of-the-day-24-carrats-from-wet-n-wild.html

I know, I’m sorry, I haven’t finished up my Ice Baby Collections posts. Only one more after this though, promise! I’ve been having issues with getting my camera to hook up and blah blah blah,….ANYWAYS here’s 24 Carrats!
2 coats.
Oddly enough, I was super excited about this polish. See, I’m not a big fan of the tiny bar glitters. Why? I seriously can’t get over the fact that they remind me of tiny hairs on my nails. However, that might just be me. Plus you have  to move them about on your nail so it doesn’t stick out all wonky. So after hearing this why was I excited in the first place? Because 24 Carrats is a downright Fall color combo.
2 coats.
This was really hard to photograph, but hopefully the break down will help you ‘see’ it better. This is a clear suspended base with fine gold glitter and oh so thin and delicate bar glitter. The coloring is what struck me as it is warm leafy colors, an orange-toned bronze & a bronze-toned gold. Yes, that might sound weird to some, but trust me that’s what it is! I love that it flashes versions of all these colors and in order to get over my tiny bar glitter issues I just needed to admire the color. I ended up with 2 coats although it could’ve easily used 3-4. I liked it better in 2 for some reason, maybe because its warmer and more skin toned than the others?

Do you have this color? How do you like it? I think its definitely prettier in person although I tried forever to capture it.

Sunday Haul: Sally Hansen & Revlon Holiday!

November 13, 2011 By StephanieLouise 9023 Commentshttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F11%2Fsunday-haul-sally-hansen-revlon-holiday.htmlSunday+Haul%3A+Sally+Hansen+%26+Revlon+Holiday%212011-11-13+22%3A28%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F11%2Fsunday-haul-sally-hansen-revlon-holiday.html

So today I was at the BX (military version of a Walmart…but wayyyy smaller) and spotted these. I wasn’t wanting to go cosmetics shopping but these popped out at me. The main purchase was the Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in Decadent. A violet with blue shimmer? Need. So…do you think I could pick up just one thing with all the fantabulous Christmas packages? Oh no, stop being silly! Please do keep in mind its 4:30 and the color swatches won’t be as dead-on as they usually are. Don’t worry, I’ll be reviewing them soon!

I guess we’ll start with the releases from Revlon in the Spice It Up Collection. Here are the 2 Revlon Colorburst Lipglosses in Decadent (violet with blue shimmer) & Cocktail Dress (nude with champagne and light bronze shimmer, superfine rainbow shimmer, & possibly superfine champagne flakies? I might be crazy though we’ll see in the review with better lighting ). I had my pick of the entire Spice It Up Collection, but these were the 2 I deemed ‘Must-Haves’ obviously.
& the 2 nail polishes I picked up Mistletoe (a blackened green with olive shimmer and golden/olive tiny flakies) & Spice It Up (blackened maroon with a fine shimmer throughout ranging from golden to orange). Hello FALL!
So, here are the 2 Sally Hansen Holiday Sets I snagged. I already picked up the 10 Piece Set which I reviewed, but this was tougher. There are 4 sets of nail polish minis but this is the one I wanted the most. The HD collection is one of my favorites.
The other set was more of a random pick-up. This one has 2 plumping glosses and one nail polish in Night Lights. Night Lights is a super gorgeous gray jelly with silvery gunmetal and rainbow holo glitter. It was a must.

The glosses are new for me and actually not what I expected. I was thinking of my Lip Venoms but these are completely different, must more water based but still with a crazy shine. The all gold gloss is Sally Hansen Lip Inflation in ‘Extreme’ which is a clear gloss & the colored gloss is in ‘Sheer Bare’ which has spaced out micro rainbow sparkles in it. I kind of like that the shimmer has such a light touch, makes it a lot more wearable.

Are you hauling anything today? See anything you especially like?

Mani of the Day: Cost is No Issue by Wet n Wild

November 11, 2011 By StephanieLouise 9034 Commentshttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F11%2Fani-of-day-cost-is-no-issue-by-wet-n.htmlMani+of+the+Day%3A+Cost+is+No+Issue+by+Wet+n+Wild2011-11-11+16%3A54%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F11%2Fmani-of-the-day-cost-is-no-issue-by-wet-n-wild.html

3 Coats.
Man I love this collection. I love love LOVE teal. Gorgeous color on my nails and even better with this glitter. Cost is No Issue is a teal fine glitter suspended in a clear base with a medium, bright bluelarger glitter. Super flashy in 3 coats, but I think I like it best in one coat. A bit more subtle but its so vibrant that it’ll stand out atop any shade. I am most excited to see it over a plum for fall! Below in one coat, 2 coats, & the final 3. What do you think? Its not the most original of the shades but it definitely made my list as one of the top shades from the Ice Baby collection in terms of my frequency of wear. 2 more shades and this collection comes to an end!

Mani of the Day: Rockin Rubies from Wet n Wild

November 9, 2011 By StephanieLouise 905Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F11%2Fmani-of-day-rockin-rubies-from-wet-n.htmlMani+of+the+Day%3A+Rockin+Rubies+from+Wet+n+Wild2011-11-09+18%3A45%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F11%2Fmani-of-the-day-rockin-rubies-from-wet-n-wild.html

So although I’m really sick, I’m trudging on. I might not be wanting to show you my red nose or puffy eyes, but my nails are still kickin!
3 Coats.
So I thought this was the most obvious out of the collection in terms of winter. I liked that the additional glitter is pink instead of silver or gold which is awesome. This is a greyer base than the others with a fine red glitter throughout. The bigger round glitter is a light pink. I see tons of potential for the idea of this polish, but the gray base kind of overshadows the pink glitter. I think it would’ve stood out a lot better if it had been a pearly white or a HOT pink. Below is 1 coat, 2 coats, & the final 3 coats. I could ALMOST get away with 2, but for pictures 3 was necessary. What do you think of this shade?

Wet n Wild I Heart Matte Palette: The Neutral Eye

November 8, 2011 By StephanieLouise 9063 Commentshttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F11%2Fwet-n-wild-i-heart-matte-palette.htmlWet+n+Wild+I+Heart+Matte+Palette%3A+The+Neutral+Eye2011-11-08+17%3A19%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F11%2Fwet-n-wild-i-heart-matte-palette-the-neutral-eye.html

So I managed to snag the LAST palette. It was beat up like no ones business, but I got my grimy, manicured hands on it. Here’s my first look, the right side. The classic matte neutral eye with an inner eye highlight from Jane Iredale which brightens my oh so sickly eyes and skin right now. I love love love this look and got lots of compliments. Want to know how to create it? I seriously followed the directions printed on the eyeshadows! If you want to see a tutorial let me know! A full swatch of all the I Heart Matte Palette coming soon!

Have you had the chance to snag this palette? Have you passed on it?

Haul: Wet n Wild I Heart Matte & Baked Palettes!

November 8, 2011 By StephanieLouise 9071 Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F11%2Fhaul-wet-n-wild-i-heart-matte-baked.htmlHaul%3A+Wet+n+Wild+I+Heart+Matte+%26+Baked+Palettes%212011-11-08+16%3A24%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2011%2F11%2Fhaul-wet-n-wild-i-heart-matte-baked-palettes.html

This was an accomplishment, let me tell you! The I Heart Matte Palette is gorgeous but it was in a ridiculous place. The hair aisle? Seriously?Anyways, mine was chipped, scratched, and multiple eyeshadows were cracked. You know I didn’t think twice about buying it though! So here’s the shots, swatches to come later on. I’m pretty sick, don’t want to touch all my makeup at the moment honestly!

& the coveted back eyeshadows I knew I wanted. Lovely aren’t they? The containers are weird though, like canals almost. Some bloggers/gurus don’t like them but I think they’re great. My product will finally stay in the packaging! Which palette is your favorite? I can’t wait to play with these!
