Travel: Showoffs Travel Bags (similar to Tili bags!)

June 10, 2012 By StephanieLouise 7874 Commentshttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F06%2Ftavel-showoffs-travel-bags-similar-to.htmlTravel%3A+Showoffs+Travel+Bags+%28similar+to+Tili+bags%21%292012-06-10+12%3A45%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F06%2Ftravel-showoffs-travel-bags-similar-to-tili-bags.html

So since Birchbox has included Tili bags in all of the videos/posts I’ve seen so far (I won’t get mine till I get back, BOO!) I thought I better show you what bags I’m using my for my trip! In comparison, I can only go with what I’ve seen of the Tili bags, but these look MUCH more durable, reusable, & have the great flat bottom so your items can actually stand straight up!

I was sent a variety, here they are!
Wait, a whole bag devoted to shiny things & purple? Well you know I’m in!

I honestly like all of these, even the brown ones because my husband could use them & not feel “girly” which is rare when packing since I do most of it. I’ve had bags leak not only onto my clothing, but EXPENSIVE products as well. Such a waste! These have many uses in them as far as gifting goes too since I’m usually gifting makeup/beauty items to family & friends across the US.

Are plastic bags cheaper? Yes, but I’ve also never had one NOT rip on me! Plus, these just look cuter. & they have free shipping on their site which you can find here: www.showoffstravelbags.com. I’ll probably use these to go camping with as well since I am consistently losing my keys, bobby pins, toothpaste…ok everything. Nature steals my stuff. Great to separate a wet bathing suit too!

These come with a set of bottles but you can also squeeze some of your own minis in there too!

*A sample of this product was sent for review. All opinions are my own.

NEW L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadow Shades in Endless Sea, Bottomless Java, Golden Emerald, & Glistening Garnet Swatches (PIC HEAVY!)

June 9, 2012 By StephanieLouise 78819 Commentshttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F06%2Fnew-loreal-infallible-eyeshadow-shades.htmlNEW+L%27Oreal+Infallible+Eyeshadow+Shades+in+Endless+Sea%2C+Bottomless+Java%2C+Golden+Emerald%2C+%26+Glistening+Garnet+Swatches+%28PIC+HEAVY%21%292012-06-09+14%3A57%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F06%2Fnew-loreal-infallible-eyeshadow-shades-in-endless-sea-bottomless-java-golden-emerald-glistening-garnet-swatches-pic-heavy.html

Ready for a serious case of the “I Wants”? Ever since other people have started getting their hands on the 6 new shades L’Oreal released for summer from the Infallible Eyeshadow line I’ve been cursing to be without them. In person, I passed on 2/6 which were the shades Liquid Diamond & Smoldering Plum. I passed up a purple? I know I know hold your sighs & shock until the end though! The Liquid Diamond shade was a silver-y lilac type shade & I liked it but didn’t NEED it. Smoldering Plum was DARK & because I already have Perpetual Purple which is absolutely stunning, this one didn’t blow me away.

This left me with Bottomless Java, Golden Emerald, Endless Sea, & Glistening Garnet. All of these are MUST-HAVES & absolutely, incredibly, undoubtedly stunning. These have been spotted at many locations but I personally found mine on a wall display (NOT a shelf display!) at Walgreens for $7.99 each.

So, somehow beyond me, I’ve only featured Perpetual Purple from the L’Oreal Infallible line on my blog as a main post! & I did it TWICE! Once was for my Birthday Smoky Eye & the 2nd was the actual test for my husband’s military ceremony. SHAME on me! So I will go into more detail about these for those unfamiliar & do a FULL collection review when I get back. How’s that sound? Fair?

Enough Talking Already, let’s do this!

These have wonderful packaging for me personally. Although I like the normal square or circle packaging, these have a very stable base & lid. I also REALLY like being able to see the shade on both the top label & the window on the bottom. Makes finding these 110% easier. These come with a little push-down things (shown in first picture in post) that you keep inside that re-condenses the products after it becomes loose. Brilliant.

Here is the product itself in each color. First picture is in natural shade, second is with flash to bring out tones you can’t really see otherwise in the packaging.

ENDLESS SEA: An aqua shade that leans turquoise when heavily applied & in darker areas. Glimpses of blue, gold, green, & even lavender can be seen. Perfect name for this shade as it reminds me of the Greek Isles or the Caribbean.

BOTTOMLESS JAVA: A deep brown laden with bronzey shimmer. The second picture is actually way more accurate to the swatch than the first which looks creamier. This looks RICH. When swatched, I actually catch some purple/pink tones up close. Greens too. VERY complex.

GOLDEN EMERALD: A kelly green with heavy doses of gold. Gorgeous! Ultra rich & looks like the gold is glitter its so pigmented. When it catches the light, you can catch all the different shades of green that make up the shade & the gold is breathtaking.

GLISTENING GARNET:  A very red based pink with a lilac flash in sunlight. This has been described as everything from a pink to a burgundy to a red in some case. People aren’t making up their minds! Check out the difference here & how gorgeous & different that purple sheen is!

For reference: NONE of the swatches have been color corrected or such edited at all other than cropping. They really are this fantabulous.

Can you tell I love them? That they’re gorgeous? That these shades are instant favorites? What do you think? Will you be searching for them? I’m NOT sure if they are Limited Edition or if they will be added to the core shades..but as soon as I find out I will let you know! Any favorites?

Travel: Where To Get Travel Sized Items

June 9, 2012 By StephanieLouise 789Leave a Commenthttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F06%2Ftravel-you-must-check-out-minimusbiz.htmlTravel%3A+Where+To+Get+Travel+Sized+Items2012-06-09+13%3A11%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F06%2Ftravel-where-to-get-travel-sized-items.html

Has anyone else noticed the ridiculous prices on travel items lately? I mean seriously, minis are like 1/2 the price of a full size lately! When did that happen?

I stumbled onto a site called Minimus.biz recently & was blown away. Here’s a few reasons why:
#1 They actually had travel items I needed, not things I would settle for.
#2 They even had some brilliant things I wouldn’t have thought of & want on me at all times.
#3 the minimum for free shipping is only $20 which is like, unheard of.

I feel like I was thrust into a brilliant travel world full of things I didn’t even know I needed. Packable toilet set covers for airport bathrooms that always seem to be out? Mini nail files? Tiny slip on tooth-cleaners? In, in, & IN.

Here’s what I picked up, all for $20 + some change.

1. Puffs Ultra Soft + Strong Tissues
2. Charmin To Go Toilet Seat Covers
3. Deep Cleaning Finger Dental Wipe in Mint (I got 6! I want to have them on me all the time now!)
4. Round Mirror + Collapsible Brush (much better quality than the one I got for a few bucks at Walmart!)
5. Ms. Manicure Strike to Smooth 12 Mini Emery Boards (They’re packaged like matchbooks!)
6. TUMS Peppermint Antacids
7. Q-Tips Travel purse Pack (I have a few of these & I use them for bobby pins too!)
8.  Charmin Basic To Go Bathroom Tissue (I ALWAYS have one in my glove box for camping just in case!)
9. Downy Wrinkle Releaser (I’ve heard amazing things about this!)
10. Neutrogena Make-Up Remover Cleansing Towelettes (Travel Size)
11. Badger Organic Stress Soother Balm (Tangerine & Rosemary)

I HIGHLY advise you check them out before your next trip! There’s so much more I could have gotten if I didn’t already have minis in my stash. They also have loads of mini food (& mini sauces like the classic mini glass ketchup bottles!), games, & camping items. They also have some pre-made kits like the “Public Restroom Survival Kit” which I picked a few items from since I didn’t need everything. I love the idea of this & the simplicity. They even hand pack it & sign the card which is a nice touch. On top of that, the stores around here are pretty slim pickings since everyone is going on vacation…something else to keep in mind!

What do you think? Any minis you especially thought were cool? What are YOUR favorite minis to take with you on a trip? I leave Monday! Also, if you have any questions about these products just let me know!

*I was given a discount on items so I could blog about them. I would have gladly put up my own money for everything though!

My Current Favorite Mint Nail Polishes for Spring

June 4, 2012 By StephanieLouise 7902 Commentshttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F06%2Fjune-2012-my-favorite-mint-nail.htmlMy+Current+Favorite+Mint+Nail+Polishes+for+Spring2012-06-04+18%3A15%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F06%2Fjune-2012-my-favorite-mint-nail-polishes-for-spring.html

My Favorite Mint Polishes for Spring from All Things Beautiful XO

With my mint obsession peaking in Spring every year, I thought it was time to show you some of my favorite mint polishes this year. Love these shades & although they are close, none of them are dead-on dupes! All of these are 2 coats, no top or base. Both Mint Gelato by Revlon & Wednesday by Zoya are linked to full swatches.

My Lifesaver by Nicole by OPI: I didn’t expect to love this shade as much as I do. This shade leans way more green than the rest in real life but it also has a brightness to it due to the cream. This looks super crisp & pretty traditional for spring/summer, especially against tanned skin.

I Need A Refresh-Mint by Wet n Wild (Megalast): This is the lightest of these shades & the most readily available as well. The large brush might be a turn off for some though! The color is wonderful & looks great on all skintones.

Wednesday from Zoya: If you read my blog now & then, you’ve probably spotted this shade before. I call this a “murky mint” because these something a bit darker about it, almost a mix of grey/green. Mind you, its still absolutely gorgeous & I’m entirely obsessed with it. This applies like a dream & I’d say its the longest lasting of the bunch.

Mint Gelato Scented Nail Polish from Revlon: I swatched this recently & fell in love. From the mint chocolate scent to the green tinge I’ve fallen head over heels. You can see its close to Zoya Wednesday although Zoya dries with a shinier top coat & is more murky. This MIGHT be LE & is on display now at my Walgreens so if you want it you might want to grab it now.

So there are my 4 mints of the moment! What do you think? Do you rock mint this time of year? What are some of your favorites?

This blog at times reviews items provided by PR. In this instance, only the Zoya polish was provided. All opinions are my own.

DOVE Puts Your Photo in Times Square & a GIVEAWAY!

June 1, 2012 By StephanieLouise 7917 Commentshttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F06%2Fdove-puts-your-photo-in-times-square.htmlDOVE+Puts+Your+Photo+in+Times+Square+%26+a+GIVEAWAY%212012-06-01+15%3A36%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F06%2Fdove-puts-your-photo-in-times-square-a-giveaway.html

Let’s start off with this: Dove will put your photo in Times Square. Do I have your attention? All you have to do is take a qualifying picture (which is quite simple…just don’t be a perv or overly made up!) & submit it to Dove. They then e-mail you to let you know its approved (which happened that day for me) & then they e-mail you a snapshot of it in Times Square (the next day for me!) so you can squeal like me. I mean, I even called my mom.

My Info from Dove:
It’s easy – women simply head to the Dove® Facebook tab (http://on.fb.me/DoveShowUsYourSkin) to submit a photo* showing off their skin. Every woman who submits a photo will appear in a Dove ad – including a billboard in the famous Times Square and online digital ads. Women will be emailed a snapshot of their “moment of fame” on the Times Square billboard, and can share that photo with family and friends. Women can also go to Dove.com/ShowUsYourSkin to view the online gallery of all photos.

The “Show Us Your Skin” campaign celebrates Dove Body Washes and Beauty Bars that give women soft, smooth skin they will want to show off!

*Photos must meet all requirements outlined in program rules

The Giveaway:

Dove® Body Washes and Beauty Bars give women beautifully soft and smooth skin they will want to show off, and only Dove® Body Washes contain NutriumMoisture™ technology that goes beyond moisturization to nourish skin deep down– so it won’t dry your skin like soap.

So I’ve had a love affair with Dove for many years. In winter, when my skin aches & feels too tight, Dove is there to rescue it. I mean seriously, check out how rich this body wash is. It smells fresh & slightly cucumber-y. I love that it makes my skin feel soft year round but not oily or slick. I HATE residue, especially in hotter months when I feel like it gets everywhere. I love the comfortable feeling left behind after a shower & if I don’t use lotion afterwards my skin isn’t lacking. That’s a big deal!

Please enter using the Rafflecopter widget below! If you don’t see it, give it a moment to load, refresh your page, or contact me directly & I will try to help! Sorry this is US only & please refer to my disclosure policy which has a special section just for giveaways!

Good luck guys! & please feel free to e-mail me your photos & I will put them up on my blog! Enjoy your spotlight moment!

***This particular bottle of Dove Visible Care Body Wash was sent for review/giveaway but trust me when I say I’ve purchased loads of these myself!

May 2012: First Official Glossybox featuring Zoya & Burberry!

May 31, 2012 By StephanieLouise 79210 Commentshttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F05%2Fmay-2012-first-official-glossybox.htmlMay+2012%3A+First+Official+Glossybox+featuring+Zoya+%26+Burberry%212012-05-31+22%3A39%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F05%2Fmay-2012-first-official-glossybox-featuring-zoya-burberry.html

Remember when I showed you the specialty Glossybox I was sent to review? I showed you guys what kidn of brands to expect from Glossybox in the future & what they had sent me. Well,  happily shelled out my own money & bought one so I could ACTUALLY review the service for you. If you want to see what I got & my impressions, continue on!
This arrived a box within a box like the one I received before. I love these boxes, I will be finding many uses for them if I continue with the service. They are extremely sturdy & quite lovely. I prefer these to the cheap bags MyGlam sends each month! If you want to see this box in more detail, check out my video on youtube so you can see it in real life.
What’s in the box:
 1. Burberry Lip Mist in Copper No. 202: This is meant to be a dewy lipcolor & I am glad to have it. This is a lovely sample with great, sturdy packaging. This comes off as a brown toned orange. This is from the UK.

A full size is 0.12 oz for $30. This sample is .028 oz which I believe is a decent size & worth about $7.
2. Marvis Whitening Mint Toothpaste: I’ve actually heard of this brand which is a surprise to me. Sure I love a good toothpaste but I was surprised to have heard of it! I didn’t know this was from Italy either! I’m excited to try this.
This is a full size sample which is 1.23 oz & retails for $7.50.

3. Meg from Zoya Nail Polish: When have you ever heard me complain about a Zoya polish being included in one of my subscriptions? I think if anything you’ve heard me complain about NOT getting them! I love Meg & swatched it when I did the Beach & Surf collections in its entirety. My only issue with the entire box laid on this one item though because some of it had leaked around the top 🙁 No major harm done but still a bummer though. This is the US based product.

This is a full size nail polish which is .5 oz & retails for $8 each.

4. Moisture Bound Refreshing Hydra-Gel from Amore Pacific: This product is from South Korea & has some pretty unique packaging. That top bit is a thin mirror but its actually metal & not exactly a circle. No big deal, but odd. It is a small sample but a full size is $100 so I’m not complaining…much. I’ll probably use it around my cheeks where they get dry.
A full size is 1.7 oz & retails for $100. This sample is .27 oz so that makes this sample is $15.88.
5. Phytojoba Intense Hydrating Mask for Dry Hair from PHYTO: This is a large hair sample which I appreciate. Sometimes I feel like my thick/long hair is discriminated against! The tube is actually one of those metal tubes like the toothpaste above or some of my oil paints. Different right? I always love a great deep conditioner so I’m always happy to have one…especially since I can use it more than once! This product is from France.
The full size product is 6.7 oz for $38. This sample is 1.7 oz which makes this sample $9.64.
Extra: A Glossybox Blush Brush created from goats hair. This is one of those brushes I have to feel for awhile before I decide if I like it. I do by the way. This is kind of stiff but that’s actually what makes it different. I can see myself getting a nice amount of blush on the stiff tips for a brighter look before buffing out.
Overall value of the box is approximately $48 plus the blush brush which I don’t have a definitive value for.
Overall, I’m very happy with this box. The price is more than twice as much as Birchbox which is a bit of a burn but this box was definitely a joy. I love the fact that each product in this box is based in another country. Shall I hold out hope for products in the UK & Germany that I don’t want to pay an arm & a leg for? Maybe! This leaves me with high hopes honestly which is a rocky road. I love the nail product, makeup product, hair product, dental product, skincare product, & the brush bonus. Very well rounded! If Glossybox can continuously bring me wonderful boxes like this, I’ll continue subscribing. But remember, $21 is twice as much to lose!
As always, please let me know if you want to see anything particular reviewed in the near future. What do you think of this first Glossybox? Does this get you interested in this service?

Graduation Manicure: Zoya Lara & Arizona

May 31, 2012 By StephanieLouise 7933 Commentshttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F05%2Fgraduation-manicure-zoya-lara-arizona.htmlGraduation+Manicure%3A+Zoya+Lara+%26+Arizona2012-05-31+14%3A04%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F05%2Fgraduation-manicure-zoya-lara-arizona.html

Can you even dye my nails to match my gown? UH HUH!
Well the school year is over & my little tykes (most of them!) have moved along to kindergarten. Its a sad & happy thing but honestly…mostly sad. I’ll miss my kids dearly. But you must know I’m going out looking fabulous!
I picked up this dress at Kohls because it was bright, cheery, & definitely school appropriate. I paired it with black wedges, neutral makeup, & my hair in a high pony tail. Pretty but subtle. But my nails…I needed something more fun. I thought this pair was striking but not too over the top with this dress since everything else was low-key. I also paired it with these gold coral earrings I got at Kohls in a haul. The dress is more color accurate in my manicure photos, the full size dress was one I snapped for my Instagram. 🙂

The pink shade is Lara from Zoya while the tangerine accent nail is Arizona from Zoya. Love these 2 together! I topped them with a heavy dose of Seche Vite.
So what do you think? I really enjoyed it & actually wore it for 3 days longer…that’s a long time for me!

Review: Frownies Combo Rose Water Hydrator Spray & Eye Gel Patches

May 31, 2012 By StephanieLouise 7943 Commentshttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F05%2Freview-frownies-combo-rose-water.htmlReview%3A+Frownies+Combo+Rose+Water+Hydrator+Spray+%26+Eye+Gel+Patches2012-05-31+12%3A51%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F05%2Freview-frownies-combo-rose-water-hydrator-spray-eye-gel-patches.html

I have been fighting the dark circles. No wait, battling them! They keep popping up probably due to stress. I’ve had a lot going on lately & there they are to prove it. I recently received a kit from Frownies to review (more on the rest of it later on) & these were the stand out product. I wanted to review them earlier but reminded myself it needed a bit more time.

From the Frownies Website:
Eye Gels: Use your first set of Eye Gels three night in a row, then use them once a week for best results.

With one 30 minute treatment 100% of women testing Frownies eye gels saw a reduction in the appearance of fine lines and dark circles.

Eye Gels can be reused when kept moist with Rose Water Hydrator.

Rose Water Hydrator:  Frownies’ Hydrator Spray can be used as a daily beauty plumper and toner. After cleansing use Rose Water on the entire face, neck and décolletage to prepare skin for other products or cosmetics. Rose Water Hydrator Spray will compliment the pH balance of the skin and further reduce the appearance of pore size as it begins to plump fine lines and wrinkles. Rose Water from essential oil of rose is an antibacterial wrinkle treatment and helps prevent blemishes on the skin. Rose Water Hydrator with hyaluronic acid is a wonderfully refreshing pick up after exercising, during air travel or anytime a warm dry environment threatens to dehydrate and age skin.

You get them in a foil packet (shown above) then after your first use you place them back inside, mist it with with included Rose Water Hydrator spray, pop it in a plastic bag, & then store it in your fridge.

I must admit, I didn’t have high hopes for this product. I stick to cold, raw potato slices normally. Its no wonder cold helps as it reduces swelling. To my surprise, these feel wonderful. The gel sticks under your eyes although it is already a formed shape. These eventually slowly disintegrate after many uses (I used them 6-7 times) & in between you simply store them until the next use. They are nice & cool but not as harsh as ice cubes. They definitely help with swelling & I did notice my undereyes to be a bit less blue.

The Rose Water Hydrator is the standout for me. I love refreshing spray to make my makeup look less “done” & this has added benefits for all kinds of skin ailments. I didn’t notice it helping me with breakouts but it did make my skin feel lovely! I found my skin hydrated & feeling nice & supple. Love this product! Much better than your average water spray 🙂

Products were provided by PR for consideration.

Eyes: Mahya Turquoise & Fairy Tale + Citrine Glitter

May 26, 2012 By StephanieLouise 7958 Commentshttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F05%2Feyes-mahya-turquoise-fairy-tale-citrine.htmlEyes%3A+Mahya+Turquoise+%26+Fairy+Tale+%2B+Citrine+Glitter2012-05-26+15%3A36%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F05%2Feyes-mahya-turquoise-fairy-tale-citrine-glitter.html

Here is my first eye look featuring the Mahya glitter I reviewed & raved about a few days ago. I’m also using Mahya eyeshadows in Turquoise & Fairy Tale. The glitter featured is Citrine which is probably the most muted of the bunch.

First, let’s look at these two shadows without the glitter. I love Turquoise & I always feels so ethereal wearing this shade. The color shift is gorgeous & Fairy Tale is blended lightly as my highlight. I love this combo! The 2nd 2 photos were taken in shade so you an see Turquoise shifts in pretty much any lighting…woo!

Citrine was applied only to the bottom portion of my eye with the Mahya Eye Glitter Gel. This held wonderfully & I used an angled eyeliner brush that isn’t stiff enough to apply the glue to the exact area while not applying too much or too little.

What do you think of this eye look? Don’t forget, if you have an color requests to pair with the glitters just let me know! How do you wear glitter usually?

Mani of the Day: Revlon Scented Nail Polish in Mint Gelato

May 25, 2012 By StephanieLouise 7963 Commentshttps%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F05%2Fmani-fo-day-revlon-scented-nail-polish.htmlMani+of+the+Day%3A+Revlon+Scented+Nail+Polish+in+Mint+Gelato2012-05-25+16%3A07%3A00StephanieLouisehttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.allthingsbeautifulxo.com%2F2012%2F05%2Fmani-of-the-day-revlon-scented-nail-polish-in-mint-gelato.html

I never thought I’d like scented nail polish but after my first bottle I was hooked. Does it always smell good? Nah. But I have found some I love & many happen to be from Revlon. This is from their new spring collection & its called Mint Gelato…& its perfection.Below the first picture is with flash & the 2nd & 3rd are with artificial daylight bulbs.

Mint Gelato Scented Nail Polish from Revlon: A creamy mint shade that is opaque in 2-3 coats. Medium-high shine. No top coat shown.

Honestly, I wouldn’t place this in the mint family right off the bat so the name surprised me. Doesn’t it look quite blue to you? I would’ve placed this as a green leaning aqua…either way this shade is gorgeous & it got me thinking about my favorite pastel cream mints, so I’ll be posting those soon! Honestly, the smell of this was nice & strong! I like mint & I don’t mind scents so keep that in mind. I actually though this was mint chocolate chip…I thought it smelled like that!

What do you think of this shade? I picked this up off a display at Walgreens if you were curious. Do you like scented nail polish?
