If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat…then you know that I’ve been absolutely obsessed with this palette. I can’t stop/won’t stop using it! Every time I wear shades from the Urban Decay Moondust Palette to an event or just out to the grocery store- compliments. All the compliments. I mean- who doesn’t want that?! Plus I’m a glitter/shimmer/sparkle girl so these have my name alllllll over it! Keep reading to check out why & get a sneak peak of a few eye looks!
Take glittery eye looks to a whole new level. Explore this palette’s eight otherworldly shades of sparkily shadow in Urban Decay’s first-ever Moondust Eyeshadow Palette.Found exclusively in this palette, these vibrant Moondust shades are dazzlingly sparkly, but with a super-refined, incredibly sophisticated feel—and no chunky glitter. Laced with micro-fine bits of iridescent sparkle and lush 3-D metallics, these shadows create a gorgeous, diamond-like effect. The sparkly gunmetal case features a mirrored cutout of the Moondust logo. A full-size mirror makes it easy to indulge your glitter obsession on the go.
Inside, the Urban Decay Moondust Palette is basically magic. You have 8 shades total in a really secure palette. The outer case is a textured, glittering gunmetal that isn’t scratchy at all. Definitely going to hold up well! Beneath the casing the writing on the front is actually a mirror. It is such a nice touch to a cleanly packaged palette! Urban Decay always has gorgeous packaging- they really pay attention to the details. There’s also a nice sized mirror that will stand up on its own which I so appreciate!
Specter- a pale lightly warm frosted ice pink. A sheer color but it builds up & really grabs the light & reflects the brightening pink color!
Element- a vibrant medium red-toned peach with a pink/red shift & glittering texture. This is my absolute favorite. I apply this one wet which helps it hold together better- that helps with flaking! Dry it has more fallout & is more sheer.
Granite- a mid-tone neutral gray with a glittering finish. This one is really a smooth texture & is more opaque without needing to layer too much.
Lithium- a golden bronze with gold sparkle. Again this texture holds together better & is more opaque. Like all the shades in this palette- you get less fallout when applied wet.
Magnetic- a signature medium Urban Decay purple with a glitter finish! This one also has cool blue shimmer but the purple itself leans slightly warm I think? This one is pretty soft so it applies more sheer dry but wet it is gorgeous!
Lightyear- a vibrant, bright grassy green with a cool-toned glittering finish. This is more yellow-toned in the base which is more unique I think! Of the vibrant colors, this shade definitely has the best texture meaning it works both dry & wet. But wet- bazinga!
Vega- a deepened medium cool blue with a metallic finish & cyan micro shimmers. This is another shade that is soft but it really holds together well!
Galaxy- a more sheer black base with lots of sparkling blue/green micro shimmers. It starts more sheer & smoky but actually builds up reasonably well- especially wet!
Top row left to right- Specter, Element, Granite, Lithium.
Bottom row left to right- Magnetic, Lightyear, Vega, Galaxy.
All swatches are on bare skin without primer. Only the first three were built up a bit more so you can see the pigmentation better.
Obviously…I’m in love! This palette is basically my favorite thing ever & I can’t stop wearing it…talking about it…sharing it….petting it…All those things. I hope you enjoyed the sneak peeks of some of my upcoming looks I’ll be sharing & I’d love if you let me know of anything else you’d like to see! The only downside? I can’t believe it is limited edition!!!
The Urban Decay Moondust Palette is still available from Urban Decay, Sephora, Nordstrom, & ULTA.
