I love rose scented just about everything. When Valentine’s Day rolls around, I find myself even more intoxicated with the scent. Finally…more rose things to add to my stash! If you’re not wanting a bouquet this year, check out these beautiful options for the perfect rose gift! The links below lead to prior reviews or blog posts.
– Reviva Labs Rosewater Facial Spray: I’ve mentioned this in numerous favorites videos & posts because…I love it. This smells divine & works like a charm. A refreshing mist that isn’t too heavily scented but still makes your face look a bit lighter & wears longer as well.
– Conair Rose Impressions Hair Brush: I reviewed & gave away one of these brushes awhile back & I still think it has just the coolest rose print. With swirls of pink & red this looks really artsy while still being functional.
– Badger Damascus Rose Face Sunscreen: I love this, have repurchased it, & still adore it. It is so rare I repurchase a moisturizer so this is a big deal. The scent is incredible & I love it. This might be my favorite of the entire post.
– Mark Lipclick Luxe Lipstick in M.Powerment Petal: I received this oh-so-cool looking lipstick in my December Glossybox & I’m still loving it! With the pink metal packaging, magnetic opening, & holo writing I can’t get over the appearance…so cool! The color is a pretty universal rose shade.
– Prestiche Mineral Treat Bath Salts in Rose: I freaking adore these. I got quite a few Prestiche products to try awhile back & this is one of my favorites. This has made it into favorites for its pure rose scent & lingering scent when tossed into a hot bath.
– Maybelline Line Stylist Lip Liner in Rose 120: An opaque pink toned rose, this lip liner is lovely. The Maybelline Line Stylist pencils are super tiny at the tip making it effortless to apply color where you want it.
– L’Occitane Rose 4 Reines Body Milk: If you love complex rose scents, this is one to take a whiff of. L’Occitane has lots of creative scents that I normally go for but this lotion contains Grasse, Bulgarian, Moroccan, & Turkish roses. Fabulously feminine.
– Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Soft Rose: I don’t know why Revlon did away with this line because, well, they were some of the very best. Beautiful, pigmented, & nicely packaged. Soft Rose in particular is a favorite because it goes with pretty much any makeup look. If you can still get your hands on it, do it!
– 525PR Makeup City La Vie en Rose Blush in Rachel: I absolutely LOVE this shade & it is super soft. The pigmentation is really wearable & when swatched it has kind of a light bronzer look with a nearly ethereal pink sheen. So lovely. This is pretty on the cheeks & chest as well. Plus, what a lovely rose!
Do you love roses? Anything here strike your fancy? What is your favorite floral scent?

When it comes to shopping for a man, life is hard. When my husband wants something, he buys it. Same with my dad & about every other male in my life. What do you get the guy who has everything? Well, if you write in the beauty field, you get them something you would like them to have.
Acqua di Gio by Giorgio Armani Cologne: If you haven’t found the scent for your significant male other yet, seriously give this one a sniff. Maybe this is a cheater option because this brings back lots of memories of meeting my husband & getting married & such…but it is absolutely wonderful. With notes of both woody & marine notes all tied up in a masculine bottle, this is a favorite. Even my “non-foofoo” husband likes this & has worn it for years.
Pinch Provisions Minimercency Kit for Him: Want something useful? This mini kit for men is perfection. It is small enough to contain the necessities & contains items you can replace after you use them as well. From a breath freshner to stain remover to floss this little kit has your guy covered. At only $13, this is the perfect gift for any occasion. Plus, look at how cute that packaging it! A sturdy metal tin with a mustache? Yes please.
Trigger Massage Candle for Him: One of my personal favorite gifts for newlyweds are massage candles & they’re always a great idea for Valentine’s Day as well. With notes of cedar, vanilla, & masculine musks this is a great masculine scent that will fill up the room when burned then you use the warmed, melted wax as a massage oil. For every man who thought he didn’t like candles, this should change his mind. You can find this one from Perfumeland. They also have loads of other types of scents & this candle in a spray form.
Jack Black Turbo Body Bar: I love this bar of soap. I don’t think I’ve ever stated that on this blog. I’m not a bar soap fan. This one holds together incredibly well, exfoliates, & leaves a great natural scent. It smells a bit like shea butter & tea tree oil? The lava rock is the exfoliant & it kicks other bars out of the water without being too rough. Exfoliating, moisturizing, & it lasts a nice long time? Get in my shower.
Ghirardelli Chocolates: If nothing seems to quite fit, go with a winner. Ghirardelli is some of the best & my house takes chocolate pretty seriously. Dark chocolate is usually my flavor of choice. Dark Chocolate with Strawberry Filling? Yeah that doesn’t last long with my husband. Not into dark chocolate or even milk chocolate? Try the Ghirardelli Sublime White Vanilla Dream All Natural Chocolate which is made with real vanilla beans. It is ridiculously good.
So there you have it, some awesome options for Valentine’s Day gifts for your guy! What are you getting the guys in your life?

Can you believe Valentine’s Day is just around the corner? I sure can’t! I thought it would be fun to look at 5 different ways to add fragrance for a date without using the average spray. Whether you want to layer scents, have a way to touch up on the go, or to sparkle a bit this Valentine’s Day you’ll have options!
Victoria’s Secret Angel Gold Fragrant Shimmer Powder: This is available from Victoria’s Secret currently & although it isn’t as inexpensive as I’d like, I absolutely love this scent. I own the perfume & my husband bought me the shimmer powder soon after. It is safe to assume he likes it too! This comes with a large kabuki brush that doesn’t feel very soft but more like goat hair. I actually love it for this powder because it really makes it cling to the brush which makes it apply much easier. If you love shimmer & scent, a pressed powder is pretty great!
Japanese Agarwood Scented Earrings: If you love jewelry then scented earrings are just cool to miss! These Lisa Hoffman Japanese Agarwood Scented Earrings are pretty, dainty, & smell absolutely delightful. Basically these come with a little container of round fragrance beads that you can place inside the pretty filigree earrings. Why didn’t I ever think of that?
Victoria’s Secret Shimmer Lotion: I think this lotion in particular was limited edition (Victoria’s Secret PINK It’s My Part Shimmer Lotion) but boy do I love it. In fact, I have a backup. Victoria’s Secret puts out some of the best shimmering body products (note the first in this post!) but they are rarely permanent. You can find options on ebay or when they come back around in stores. This lotion in particular has larger flaked glitter as opposed to a veiled shimmer. Expect to see some popping up for summertime as well.
Pacifica Solid Perfume: I’ve reviewed & featured these quite a few times before & still absolutely love them. I keep one in my purse at all times & refuse to travel without them. With the menagerie of fragrances (check out some of my past reviewed scents here) you’re bound to find one perfect to layer with your fragrance or to use alone. I use them behind my ears, inner elbows, & other pulse points. My favorite layering shades are Indian Coconut Nectar & California Star Jasmine.
I hope you guys enjoyed these! Notice a few of shimmer for that extra amp to date night. What are some of your favorite fragrances? Do you wear fragrance in any other form other than a spray or rollerball?

I had been getting some questions about if I was reviewing these & now I have them for you guys! I’m super excited about these because they are just the best stocking stuffers ever! These would be great as a name tag on a gift too! Perfect & really nice looking! I adore the Softlips brand in general but holiday scented lippies have a special place in my heart.
From sugar cookies to peppermint to sugar plum…tis the season for Softlips! These all have an awesome & appreciated SPF 20 except the bonus Pearl which is SPF 15. You can snag these adorable packs for under $5 & give them to pretty much anyone!
The duo packs are available in the following varieties:
Softlips Vanilla with bonus Sugar & Spice: I adore the classic vanilla scent & Sugar & Spice is definitely different from any other balm I’ve ever tried! This definitely smells like a mix of holiday spices baking in something fabulous! I highly recommend it if you’re into holiday scents! This is one of the duos that comes with the handy Holiday Gift Tag option.
Softlips Raspberry with bonus Sugar Cookie: This is another one of the Holiday Gift Tag Pack. The raspberry smells like a tart raspberry green tea & the sugar cookie smells like… sugar cookies of course! I’m pretty obsessed with the sugar cookie scent!
Softlips Raspberry with bonus Sugar Plum Berry: This is probably one of my favorite duos! I scoop up as many plum themed items as I can & this is a welcomed addition! LOVE THEM! This is one of the Holiday Gift Tag Pack too. The raspberry smells like a tart raspberry green tea & the plum is a nice mellow with a dark note of berry.
Softlips Vanilla with bonus Winter Mint: I adore the classic combo of the vanilla & winter mint! This is one of the Holiday Gift Tag Packs. I love the vanilla, perfect for year round, the winter mint smells great & slightly sweet.
Softlips Peppermint Stick with bonus Pearl Tinted Lip Conditioner: This is their classic candy cane flavor & comes in a cute striped tube. You can find it at select target stores in the checkout lane. Love this festive limited edition find! This comes paired with the only tinted balm which is a super light pink named Pearl. Lovely!
Softlips Jack Frosting Duo Pack: I was SUPER excited to try this duo since this was the fan pick! The Softlips Facebook fans actually selected it & you can find this in the cough & cold aisle at Target stores nationwide. This smells just like buttercream frosting….obsessed! I see why the fans picked it!
So there you have it! Lots to choose from right? I think Softlips did a great job, definitely something for everyone! What scents/flavors appeal to you most/ Are you digging the cute git tag packaging?

Jurlique has rolled out a few holiday centered gift ideas perfect for the beauty lover on your list. Jurlique was nice enough to send one my way so I can show it off to you guys! If you love hand creams (why yes I do!) then you’ll adore this set!
- Rose Hand Cream, 40ml
- Lavender Hand Cream, 40ml
- Jasmine Hand Cream, 40ml
- Citrus Hand Cream, 40ml
- Enriched with Jurlique’s Proprietary Biodynamic Blend of herbs and flowers includes Rose, Marshmallow, Chamomile, Calendula, Viola, Daisy, Pansy, Sweet Violet and Echinacea and is traditionally used for its hydrating and soothing effects.
I find packaging (especially holiday packaging!) to be super important. I mean, if I am buying a nice pre-wrapped gift…I definitely want to see what they’re getting! I love not having to wrap it myself but I still want to see what the finished product looks like on the inside!
There’s an outside sleeve with pretty red & holly background. This also has a green ribbon in the corner.
Beneath that is an engraved golden box which is just too lovely & definitely reuseable. This will also stay open on its own with a little ribbon. Great packaging.
The products themselves come in their usual boxes inside & then you can see the tubes. These are those handy metal-type tubes. I paint so I tend to prefer these, you can squeeze every little bit of product out! These tubes also all come sealed & have a handy little tool on the cap to prick it open as well. I really love the lavender one for night time use & it keeps my cuticles nice & soft too! I’m not big on citrus scents in general but this one is pleasing as well!
I love these hand creams & this set is a great value if you do too! This set is valued at $100 but you only pay $62. These are full-sized hand lotions & because you get 4 you could break them up or give them as one big gift! My personal favorites are the Jasmine & Rose…but I am biased since I’m a bit obsessive about both those scents!
What do you think of this set set from Jurlique? Are your parched winter hands looking for a new hand cream this season? What are some of your favorite scents?

For nail bloggers, November ‘Tis the Season. Last night, I stopped by my Sally’s anticipating being able to pick up almost all of the China Glaze Winter 2012 polishes…but apparently they put them out super early. Boo. They didn’t even have the gift sets I went in expecting to arrive available. Rude! Still, I managed to nab the 2 glitters I wanted (although I had to buy one in a set & she had to dig in the back for the other…they didn’t even have any singles available!) so that is what really matters right? Glitter? Indeed.
I also managed to snag the Color Club mini set of holiday shades labeled Winter Affair 2012. I’m happy to get these in smaller sizes because I don’t think they are super original color-wise but they ARE all scented except for the flakie! Yes, the flakie is a dupe for MANY of the other flakies I already own. Do I own too many? Don’t care. So shiny. Don’t judge me.
To see the bottle shots from the China Glaze official press release I posted, just click here. These aren’t the most color accurate but neither are mine. I just wanted to get them up ASAP! I’ll do accurate & pretty swatches soon.
Now the Color Club Winter Affair mini set I picked up. I never have Color Club at my Sally’s so I was happy to pop in & snatch up the last set. I pretty much have nowhere to buy Color Club (except that freak time I found a bunch of them at my Walgreens for only 99 cents each!) so I hope they are branching out?
I did a quick swatch of each of the scented shades & decided on scents spur of the moment. Berry and Bright smells like berries to me…as expected. Gift of Sparkle (the blue that has all kins of name issues) smells kind of like vanilla & baking? Ho-Ho-Holly smells like men’s cologne so I imagine they tried to make it smell like trees? Either way, I approve of scented polishes in general. I figure if you don’t like them & prefer nail polish scent you can slap on a top coat.
So there is my haulage, not bad right? I know I’ll be doing some comparison posts soon but if you see any in particular you want to see just give me a shout & I’ll do my best to help you out! Which shades are you lusting after?
The apple throughout is what keeps it from smelling like a room spray. It keeps it fresh & young while still being extremely seductive. Although I own many DKNY scents, this made it to the front of the pack quickly. Its very long lasting as well, just spray it on your pulse points in the morning & you’ll still be getting whiffs of it throughout the day. As the scent starts to fade, I really smell the smoothness of the fruits. I’m hoping they make this permanent!
