Valentine’s Day is one of those holidays that changes for me every year. I always try to spend it with Ryan (he’s military so he’s hoping!) & last year was our first with Eloise. But it is also my parent’s wedding anniversary (awww sappy huh?) & there’s galentine’s day activities, friends, family, etc. So I thought it would be fun this year to gather up some of my favorite ideas for gifts that you can treat yourself or someone else with that AREN’T flowers or chocolates! Keep reading to check out 7 ideas & tell me what your plans are!
A Bouquet of Rose…Skincare from Pixi
A bouquet of roses is lovely- but a few of these items from the Pixi Rose line will make me swoon! I have 3 of my favorites here – the Pixi Rose Glow Mist, Pixi Rose Flash Balm, & Pixi Rose Caviar Essence. There are more items in this line (which I haven’t tried yet!) like the Rose Oil, Rose Cleanser, & the Rose Ceramide Cream! Note to anyone not looking to offend- maybe opt for products like these that are luxurious & special…& don’t scream ANTI-AGING all over them. Not everyone wants that kind of “thoughtful” gift unless you know what someone has on their wishlist 😂🤷♀️🤦♀️
A Subscription that’s Luxe with Glossybox
If you look WAYYY back at when Glossybox first came to the US, I was one of the first to receive it! There’s a different vibe to Glossybox– it feels more luxury & classic. This is the February Glossybox themed ” Love Crosses Borders” & I’m actually really happy with the variety. There’s some luxe items & a really fun mask I’ll actually use- plus perfect products for smooching on the day of love! Plus…I save every single Glossybox I receive because they’re so sturdy- I use them as drawer dividers, organizing holiday items, & even to separate my makeup! I always break down a subscription box so here we go below!:
Inside my Glossybox “Love Crosses Borders” February Box:
- Figs & Rouge Morning Revival Wonder Love Charm Glow Elixir retails for $46 (full size!)

A Blooming Palette from Tarte
The Tartelette in Bloom Palette from Tarte is one of those palettes I didn’t know would get so much use. But it has. This is a shiny, new version I’m giving as a gift this year but mine is…quite used & loved. It has some of my absolute favorite neutrals & is one of my top companion palettes to go with more colorful options! So instead of a bouquet of flowers- I think Tartlette In Bloom is a fab option! Plus, the packaging is super sturdy & a beautiful semi abstract orchid floral print that is so pretty!
Not Jewelry …Crystal & Gem Masks with Scentbird
These are so incredibly beautiful in person- & each one is so different. Scentbird is $14.95 a month & customers can curate their own monthly deliveries, choosing among 850 of the top names in beauty with 1,000 different items. I LOVED getting their scents monthly to try all kinds of name brand fragrances…& several ended up being cheaper per oz that way too! These masks are something completely different though- & I do wish I could find them in Ulta, Sephora, or Amazon! I have tried 3 of these so far- the Moonstone Hydrating Sleep Mask, Amethyst Calming Cooling Mask, & the Rose Quartz Nourishing Youth Mask! I’m saving the Black Onyx Warming Detox Mask & Citrine Brightening Peel-Off Mask are on my list! I love that these appeal to those of us who love crystals by infusing them into the products while still looking sleek & being effective! Plus, the sheen on the outside packaging is truly stunning!
A Bit of Sweet n Sassy with Splendies
Ready for something fun? Splendies is a monthly subscription of…drumroll….panties! You select your size, style, & number of months. You get three pairs & can actually select the cut which is awesome. Sizing goes up to a 4x which is much more size inclusive than most brands who reach out to me! I actually cover a lot of fashion on Home in High Heels (my lifestyle site) but so many don’t realize that I am mid-size to plus size before reaching out! Splendies combines inclusive sizing with genuinely fun patterns & designs. I’ve been really happy post-baby receiving a fun 3 pack each month & can size up or down as needed! It is a fun alternative to beauty boxes if you already receive one or if you’re gifting to someone with different interests!
A Niche Perfume Oil with Significance
One of my favorite fragrances of all time is Turquoise from The Sage Lifestyle. I got a small sample years ago at a beauty show & then a few years after that she came out with the bottle show- Rose Quartz Gemstone Perfume Oil from The Sage Lifestyle. Her creations are gorgeous but I cant only speak to the perfume oils which are are vegan, cruelty-free, gluten, & nut free. Rose Quartz is what I’m recommending here & the main notes on me are the grapefruit, honeysuckle, & jasmine. Each rollerball comes in a specialty paper case that I use to store mind because it makes me smile. I really prefer the rollerball for oils especially & to re-apply. Please remember fragrances are different on everyone & to each nose so I recommend shopping for someone you know well or perhaps opting for one of her candles here or jewelry which I saw in person & was in awe!
Kissable, Wearable, & Personal Favorite Lip Products
Whether you plan on smooching or gabbing or just pouting- lip products are always a fun gift to give or receive. I chose a variety here but everything is pretty wearable & very comfortable!
The Matte Date Night Lipstick Formula- This is my most worn liquid lipstick possibly of all time & that’s because the Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lipstick in Evening Rose is perfection. I wouldn’t change a things- from the applicator to the coverage to the shade itself.
The Convenient Rose Lip Balm- I actually am showing it here in the menthol & eucalyptus version (because that’s what I have open!) but I buy a variety of Smith’s Rosebud Perfume Co. lip products throughout the year & my mom now swears by them too!
The Natural Lip Balm – I’ve been really loving the Farmacy Lip Bloom which comes in a pot with secure lid! I really love that this scent is more comforting & not sweet or minty. Very unique!
The Kissable Lip Stain- I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this one but the Clarins Water Lip Stain in Rose Water absolutely won me over because the shade is the perfect blush of color & I don’t have to think about it budging!
The Everyday Comfortable Lip Color- I have been a longtime fan of Lancome lip formulas…but I usually go for creams from them. The Lancome L’Absolu Mademoiselle Shine Lipstick in 398 Mademoiselle Loves is the most gorgeous mauve & somehow manages to be hydrating without moving around. Plus, the packaging is so luxe!
So there you have it! See anything here you love? Anything you’d like to give someone as a gift or treat yourself? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
