I’m so late on this one guys. I got this over the holiday season & actually even used it then didn’t review it. I know it isn’t readily available in the US anymore but I still wanted to share in case Lancome ever comes out with something similar! I really love the layout the more I use it & thought just in case you had spotted it or were willing to check it out on Ebay I’d give you my thoughts! Keep reading to see my review & swatches!

To celebrate the festive season with sheer happiness, Lancôme introduces a new daring palette. Within an elegant black case, featuring the oh-so famous doors of the Maison Lancôme in Paris, La Palette 29 Faubourg Saint Honoré is made of six eyeshadows to create a luminous smoky look, and hidden like a treasure under a secret tap one lip base and two lip matte colours to create a made-to-measure ombré lips. With its elegant look and must-have shades, this eye and lip palette is definitively the perfect gift!

What really drew me into this palette is the format. I love the idea of an all-in-one palette but they’re usually such a mess. The eyeshadow gets in the lipstick. The lipstick gets in the eyeshadow. & in the end you’re left with something messy, gunky, & unusable. Lancome placed a metal flap over the lip products & that helps keep them separate. Although the brush is really useful for the first few uses to apply the lip products…I kind of wish it had a flap too? I know the eyeshadow will eventually mix with the lip brush. Overall, however, it is very compact. In a pinch I could apply the lip products as blush & lipstick with my fingers so it is actually useful on the go.

All of the eyeshadows contain shimmer & the deepest shade has flecked purple glitter as well. These swatches are without primer & when used damp the shade actually performs well on the eye. The swatches are pulling warmer & a bit brighter than in person, especially the lip shades. Inside is one primer/conditioner shade that is clear & two comfortably matter lipsticks. One lipstick is a brighter, healthy red & the other has more brick tones. In the swatches they’re more pink but built up on the lips they deepen up.
