I’m one of those people who is seriously attached to their phone. From the time I wake up to the time I get ready for bed I have it at the ready. Because I work from home this is actually pretty acceptable! I’ve been trying out a different phone & plan for awhile now so I thought it might be fun to check out some of my favorite apps & how I use it throughout the day. Keep reading to find out more!
I’m trying out this Samsung Galaxy Avant right now on the T-Mobile Simply Prepaid plan that I picked up from Walmart. For just $40 dollars a month get 4G LTE data with unlimited talk and text on the newly introduced Simply Prepaid™ from T-Mobile. You also get unlimited data! All without a contract which I originally thought would be slow & clunky- but it has been working out nicely on T-Mobile’s Nationwide 4G LTE Network.
The Galaxy Avant is also an excellent phone with tons of what I’d expect from a phone for my own personal use. I am big on apps, video, taking photos, & of course talking on the phone! For those who don’t know, my husband is in the military so we’re far away from home…& I talk to my family about every day!
In the morning I always check my basics like email & texts then head straight for my Timehop app. Timehop pulls up your social media past & I get a real kick seeing what I was up to 1-7 years ago! I tend to watch Youtube videos while I get ready in the morning as well. I track what I eat throughout the day on another phone app so…the morning is all about my phone! Then I go to the computer & start working on what you’re seeing here as well as some other gigs behind the scenes & on my other blog Home in High Heels.
I’m pretty obsessed with alarms so I set one to let myself know to wrap up work to eat lunch. Normally Ryan comes home from work but other times I’m on my own. When I have the kitchen to myself is usually when I try out recipes he won’t like (he’s anti avocados AND hummus!) & usually have them pinned on Pinterest waiting for me in organized boards. My feed looks something like you’ll see above- fashion, beauty, & lots of food!
After I’m done making something for lunch…I tend to Instagram it! I’ve been in a slump lately because I haven’t been feeling well but you guys seem to love seeing my creations almost as much as I like sharing them! While I eat, I tend to scan my Instagram feed or watch some tv. After lunch I let the dogs run off some energy! By the time we come back in they’re ready for their afternoon naps (which they take VERY seriously!) & I get back to work.
In the evening Ryan & I switch off making dinner. We really don’t have enough room in this kitchen to work together but we tend to put something on tv & support each other from a distance. If Ryan is making dinner (this means tacos or spaghetti- neither of which I’m complaining about!) then I squeeze in some game time. I freely admit I’m semi-addicted to Candy Crush Soda & I’m all about that life. I put my phone down to help with dinner & to eat it while we watch some shows we both like for the evening.
