I always run out to buy the Wet n Wild trios. I own all of them from the permanent line & when I saw posts about this new limited edition one I knew I’d be stalking it down. I had to go to 2 different Walgreens to collect them all but for only $2.99 each I didn’t mind. There are 6 trios total, keep reading to see swatches & review of them all!
These trios have a white background & the originals are black. They each come with a sponge applicator & small brush. I used ELF eyelid primer for the swatches below. They’re numbered so I just went from low-high for reference. Check out each trio below, some are matte & some have shimmer. These photos were taken in natural sunlight.
Your 15 Minutes Aren’t Up!- I like this bright yellow, especially over a white base to make it pop. The purple doesn’t have a lot of pigmentation. It looks pretty matte on the eye though which is nice. The pink shade has mauve tones & is probably my favorite in this trip, nice pigmentation especially for a pink.
A Regular at the Factory- The pale shimmery yellow has some glitter in it. It is fine but there. I needed to do a few swipes to get it like the photo above. I like the turquoise, very pretty. The orange shade is a nice, true orange with light shimmer. I wouldn’t have put these 3 shades together but I really love this trio!
Hard Being the It Girl- These 3 shades are pretty much matte which is nice. The light pink is nice but the blue is my favorite, nice pigmentation. The creamy shade was powdery for me when I tried to layer it. I’ll probably only use this for highlighting.
Three’s A Party- I was super excited about this trio, great red! They may look slightly satin but they are pretty much matte in real life. All three shades have very nice pigmentation. The black isn’t the blackest in my collection but it is still quite nice. They are all soft & easy to use as well.
I’m Seeing Triples!- I think this is the most striking trio visually in the packaging. Love this lime so much, great shade. The blue is probably my least favorite, it isn’t all that spectacular. The purple is kind of a pinky grape, very nice! Pretty much a matte trio as well.
To Muse and Carouse- This was the reason i had to go to 2 stores, people snapped this trio up fast & I can see why. In this collection of 6 this is the only one containing more than one neutral. The brown shade is a satin & has really nice pigmentation. I think it is a great shade. The peach & baby blue are pretty & useable. Overall a nice trio with nice texture.
Overall, nice shade variety. I always love vibrant eyeshadows so I think they delivered that for a reasonable price. This is also mostly a matte collection which is quite a shock, usually Wet n Wild does a lot more shimmer/glitter. Nice change. Wet n Wild shadows are best worn over an eyeshadow primer & I apply them in layers using a patting motion. You have to be really careful not to overblend the matter shades especially. I’m quite happy with my purchase overall!
Which trio do you like the best? Have you found them yet? Which do you find the most unique?
