Let’s talk about body wash! I love body wash so much & it is just one of those strange things I find myself hoarding. Every season I pick up multiple new body washes, end up using maybe half the bottle, then switching to a new scent. I like going by seasons so right now I’m transitioning out of winter/musky scents & am so ready for some floral & fruity scents! I pretty much combine spring/summer because I love bright scents so much. So I had made a promise to myself that I would finally use up 3 body washes before buying some more. It was rough seeing all the new stuff coming out! Now that I have (yippee!) I went out & bought 3 new ones. Today I am excited to bring you my thoughts on the St. Ives Revitalizing Pear & Soy Body Wash!
First off, I love fruity scents & I just don’t see pear very often. Normally I am hoarding Philosophy scents (I’m so glad it is summer so I can bust out the watermelon one!) & drugstore options. I’m not a snob price wise, I’m all about the scent & how it makes my skin feel! This pear scent is divine & isn’t too heavy. It smells luxe & expensive to me while coming in a giant 1.5 pint bottle ( 24 fl oz ) that makes it quite affordable.
I first spotted this on Nouveau Cheap’s review & knew it had to be mine. I wish I got more press releases & such of easy to find & seasonal body washes since they seem to be a bit far & few. I love seasonal products but only when I know about them! This smells like actual pears (that tartness & sweetness) not like chemically created ones. It isn’t a super feminine scent with perfumes & such added to it. Instead, it is pure pear. I would normally place pear scents in the fall/winter category but this is perfect for year round use.
If the scent doesn’t convince you to check it out, check out the ingredients. This contains real pear extract & real soy milk! It is also paraben free! What a welcome change in the drugstore/chain store ingredients. Plus, I just love it! This has a very nice lather & I don’t find myself using too much so it will last a long time. Also, it is moisturizing without leaving behind a residue. Wonderful!
For under $5 for this giant bottle, I am quite happy. I picked mine up in Walmart but I’ve heard of sightings at drugstores & other chains as well. This has me interested in trying many more St. Ives products since I don’t feel like it has been on my radar much. Cheers to a new discovery!
