If there is one thing I love about nail art…it is that there are some lazy options. Because lately- I’ve definitely needed them. I always have some “cheater cheater” nail polish shades- ones that I can slap on before I leave & know it will look great. But sometimes sprucing up a current manicure with some basic nail art is just as easy. Keep reading to check out one of my favorites & what a ridiculous bargain it is!
I posted awhile back about nail foils but since I’ve been using them so much…I figured it wouldn’t hurt to show another combination I love. Check out my more fall/winter inspired combo using the same foils I’m mentioning below right here– I love this combo!
My base color from the KBShimmer Fall/Autumn 2016 Collection (full collection reviews/swatches here):
KBShimmer Nail Polish in Sage It Ain’t So – a soft, muted sage green crelly with scattered silver holographic dust & purple, copper/orange, & silver holo hexes. Seen here in two coats with KBShimmer Clearly On Top Quick Dry Top Coat.
There are some basic rules when working with this kind of foil & the #1 is DON’T TOUCH. Seriously- it’ll stick to the moisture on your skin & that’s a waste. I use tweezers personally but I know some people use a damp toothpick. Start at a corner & tear or cut the sheets into the sizes you’re looking for. To apply just lay on top of tacky polish. I top mine with clear top coat as well! You can see what it looks like in the package here– they look like crumpled sheets. & make sure you keep them in your little container or else it will crumble with the friction in a bag.
The reason I so highly recommend this set off Amazon? It is ALWAYS under $3 every time I repurchase with FREE shipping. I can’t beat that for high-quality metallics. I have done the research for you- because this gorgeous copper is tough to find…trust me! If you’ve ever even thought about giving the foil look a try I urge you to pick up this set ASAP because it lasts a really long time with the amount you get!
